Apply pure honey on these spots every alternate day, leave 20 mins and wash with cold water. But it is not a permanent solution for black spots. Homoeopathy is the permanent solution and black spots wont reappear in future also.

• To remove dead skin cells and lighten your underarms, rub a lemon wedge on the skin for a few minutes. Leave the juice on your skin for about 10 minutes and then wash the area thoroughly. For better exfoliation, you can sprinkle a little sugar on the lemon wedge and then use it. Do this a few times a week. • Another option is to mix a little turmeric powder, honey or plain yogurt in some lemon juice and apply it to your underarms. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and then wash it off. Repeat three or four times a week.

HOMOEOPATHIC TREATMENT WHITENING CREAM ( BIOVALLEY)Apply in circular fashion in morning nd at night WHITENING SOAP ( BIOVALLEY ) Wassh face with this face wash before applying whitening cream SUNCARE CREAM ( BAKSON ) Apply 30 minutes before going outsside nd again reapply after 3-4 hrss after washing with whitening soap Everyone has a favourite face cream or treatment, but beautiful skin starts with nourishment from within. Older cells are constantly shed and replaced by younger ones and a steady supply of micronutrients is essential to support this rapid growth. Eat the correct balance of foods and you'll feed your skin the vital nutrients it needs to help it stay soft, supple and blemish-free. Eat your five-a-day Fruit and vegetables contain powerful antioxidants that help to protect skin from the cellular damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are caused by smoking, pollution and sunlight and can cause wrinkling and age spots. Eat a rainbow of colourful fruit and vegetables and aim for at least five portions a day. Betacarotene, found in pumpkin, carrots and sweet potatoes, and lutein, found in kale, papaya and spinach are potent antioxidants, important for normal skin cell development and healthy skin tone. Vitamin C Vitamin C is also a super antioxidant. It is needed for a strong immune system, radiant skin and helps blemishes heal properly. The best sources are blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes. They all help to produce collagen that strengthens the capillaries that supply the skin. Cut out crash diets Repeatedly losing and regaining weight can take its toll on your skin, causing sagging, wrinkles and stretch marks. Crash diets are often short in essential vitamins too. Over long periods of time this type of dieting will reflect on your skin. Stock up on selenium Selenium is a powerful antioxidant. It works alongside other antioxidants such as vitamins E and C and is essential for the immune system. Studies suggest that a selenium-rich diet can help to protect against skin cancer, sun damage and age spots. One way to boost your intake is to eat Brazil nuts. Just four nuts will provide the recommended daily amount (RDA). Mix Brazil nuts with other seeds rich in vitamin E as a snack or salad sprinkle. Other good sources are fish, shellfish, eggs, wheatgerm, tomatoes and broccoli. Vitamin E Vitamin E protects skin from oxidative (cell) damage and supports healthy skin growth. Foods high in vitamin E include almonds, avocado, hazelnuts, pine nuts and sunflower and corn oils. Drink up Skin needs moisture to stay flexible. Even mild dehydration will cause your skin to look dry, tired and slightly grey. Drink six to eight glasses of water a day - all fluids count towards your daily allowance, but water is the best. If you work in an office, keep a large bottle of water on your desk to remind you to drink. Herbal, caffeine-free teas are good too. Try to avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, both can age the skin. Don't be afraid of fat Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats - the types found in avocados, fish, nuts and seeds - provide essential fatty acids which act as a natural moisturiser for your skin, keeping it supple. These fats also come packaged with a healthy dose of vitamin E (a vitamin many of us lack), which will help protect against free radical damage. Eat more phyto-estrogens Phyto-estrogens are natural chemicals found in plant foods (phyto meaning plant). They have a similar structure to the female sex hormone oestrogen and have been found to help keep our natural hormones in balance. There are different types, some are found in soya bean products (isoflavones), whereas others are found in the fibre of wholegrains, fruit, vegetables and flax seeds (lignans). Include phyto-estrogen rich soya, wholegrains, fruits and vegetables as part of a balanced diet. Opt for omega-3 Make sure you get enough omega-3 and omega-6 fats. These are essential fatty acids which mean they cannot be made in the body and must be obtained through the diet. You will find omega-3s in oily fish and plant sources such as flaxseed oil, linseeds, walnut and rapeseed oil. Omega-3 fats encourage the body to produce anti-inflammatory compounds, which can help skin, particularly inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psorasis. Go for low-GI carbs Eat plenty of beans, pulses, porridge and other slow-releasing carbohydrates. These release sugar into the blood stream gradually, providing you with a steady supply of energy and leaving you feeling satisfied for longer and therefore less likely to snack. Avoid high GI carbohydrates like biscuits and sugary drinks, as they lead to production of insulin, which may damage collagen and accelerate wrinkles. Don't forget zinc Zinc is involved in the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands in the skin (which produce oil) and helps to repair skin damage and keep skin soft and supple. Zinc-rich foods include fish, lean red meat, wholegrains, poultry, nuts, seeds and shellfish.

Hi Doctor, I am 28 years old married women working in IT sector and I have not conceived too. We are on a family planning schedule. I had no troubles of pimples or breakouts during my teenage times. I was working in Bangalore for 4 years and during 2013, I got struck with severe pimples and left over black scars on my face especially the jaw and cheek area and on the upper part of both my hands. During menstruation, again due to body heat more pimples will pop up frequently. I had taken medication and chemical peeling from Dermatologist in Bangalore. Practiced Yoga regularly, jogged for one hour regularly and started to consume ample water to hydrate my body. I had recovered completely from the pimples and even the marks that was left behind. I am a person with sort of high stress and tension. The same condition again occurred last year and it was also treated and completely cured. In 2014, we have to Trivandrum in kerala. And now we have shifted our jobs to Cochin in kerala and settled here. Again I started getting pimples and marks. It's really desperate as I had a very clear skin in my entire life and now at the age of 28, I am fighting with it. Please suggest a permanent solution to end this consequent pimple season. My face is oily and my body is normal (combination) skin type. Could you suggest me a proper sunscreen, moisturizer, face wash, soap, food, medicine and exercise to remove this pimples and scars permanently. Also please suggest me some home remedies too. Thanking you in anticipation, waiting for the response.

Advice - drink plenty of water, avoid spicy or oily food, eat healthy food, fruits and wash face 4-5 times, avoid using chemical based creams etc. Home - remedy - oats is not only a good food but it also works as a medicine to treat black spots, acne marks, or pimple scars on the face. You can apply an oatmeal face mask regularly in order to get rid of the dark spots on your face. Prepare a paste using oatmeal and lemon juice. Apply this paste onto the spots and scrub it gently.

HI lybrate-user here I mention few simple things which gives you good result in a short period. 1) avoid coffee and tea. 2) try to sleep prior to 10.30 pm 3) avoid oily, spicy, salty, junk, fast, fermented and stale foods 4) take ½ tsf of fine powder of nutmeg and ½ tsf of fine powder of Indian gooseberry and pinch of black salt, add 4 tsf of milk in it and make fine paste, apply it on face and leave it for 10-15 minutes after that wash face with lukewarm water. Do this two times in a day 5) take 30 ml of RUBYCLIN liquid and 2-2 tablets of MADHUMALINI VASANT and SWASKUTHAR RASA after meals do all these things for 15 days.

This looks to be skin hypersensitivity reaction due to trauma. You may try local application of ice cold salt water solution for 10 minutes after waxing and then apply calamine lotion. This you may continue for 48 hours. In addition you may take tab. Device 5 mg once in the night for 2-3 days only. There are other means like steroid cream. But I shall discourage you at the moment and would suggest medications which are safe. Steroid like 1% hydrocortisone cream may be considered if nothing works.

I have pimples on my face and I have dark circles below my eyes so please solve my problem.
Hi acne is a problem commonly seen in this age group. It is due to the increase of androgen hormones which happens at this age. They act on your sebaceous glands and enlarge them. In addition to this, your lifestyle affects the development of pimples. Consuming milk and other dairy products enhance igf and increase pimples, so cut down on them. Avoid cosmetics since they clog pores and lead to more pimples. Stress enhances acne, so employ relaxation techniques. Yoga helps decrease negative acne forming chemicals. Soaps and scrubs won't help anyway, but a mild salicylic acid face wash can definitely help. Steam increases pores, so wash face with cold water twice daily. Eat plenty of carrots and spinach. Drink water. Understand that this problem will come and go till a certain age after which it'll attain control. Dark circles can occur if you don't get adequate sleep, so make sure you get at least a six hour sleep. Don't rub your eyes since this can aggravate darkness. Eye cosmetics vil harm a lot, so keep away. If you have any dust allergy, get it treated. Spent less time with a computer. Correct any anaemia if present. Have green leafy vegetables.

Hello •Start by cleaning your skin using a special cleansing gel or oil. Do not use products that contain alcohol or acid since they can damage your skin further. Steam your face for about 10-15 minutes to open clogged pores. Add a few drops of basil or rosemary in the water for a rejuvenating effect. •Next, gently exfoliate your skin. Use a gentle face scrub of a known brand. You could even make your own natural scrub by combining ground sugar and a little milk! This process will help you remove dirt, dead cells, blackheads and whiteheads that block your skin. •The third step involves using a good toner that would close the open pores, thus diminishing their appearance. Along with closing pores, toners also help to remove soap residue and makeup, which often render a large appearance to the pores. •Finally, use a light moisturizer, preferably a water-based one that would reduce the oiliness of your skin.

Dermatology Treatments for Acne scars

Dermatology Treatments for Acne scars

Possibly the most common skin problem in the world, acne is the inflammation of the skin pores when excess oil and dead skin cells clog them. Acne can manifest in many forms such as blackheads and whiteheads, and papules among others. More than the acne, the scars they leave behind tend to cause the most grief as they look quite unsightly. There are multiple modern dermatological treatments which can help you resolve this problem. Some of the treatments that are commonly used are mentioned below –

  1. Chemical Peels: This is one of the most common methods used for the treatment of acne scars. Specially mixed chemical formulations are used to dissolve away the top layer of the skin which contains most of the scars. Once the top layer goes away, the new layer of skin which regenerates doesn’t have the scars.

  2. Light Therapies and Laser Treatments: There are many types of laser and light therapies which use a focused light to burn away the top layer of the skin to regenerate it and reduce the scar. Certain specialized lasers use high-intensity pulses to treat raised acne scars specifically.

  3. Dermabrasion and Microdermabrasion: One of the most popular and commonly found treatments, is dermabrasion. This method uses an electrical machine that removes the top layer of skin which is akin to sanding. However, this is a fairly invasive option and will require some time for recovery. A less invasive procedure is microdermabrasion which uses finer instruments for this purpose and tends to have lesser downtime.

  4. Dermal Filler Injections: These injections are used to plump up certain areas of skin which need to be treated. Most of them work on the principle of boosting collagen which is responsible for healing the skin. Once boosted, collagen works to fill gaps and regenerate new skin. However, most of these are temporary and only last for about a year or so.

  5. Incisions Under the Skin: Sub-cision or subcutaneous incision uses a tuned surgical probe to separate the scar tissues of acne from the normal skin. This will result in the skin to rise and thus flatten the dent of the acne scar.

  6. Autologous Fat Transfer: A form of therapy which is becoming popular very quickly, this method uses fat taken from one area of your body and injected into the scar area. This results in raising the depressed areas of the skin and flattening the scars. However, fat is easily absorbed within the body and thus the effect may diminish within some time. You may be needed to redo the procedure over regular periods.

  7. Cryotherapy: The area around the scar is frozen in a targeted manner which results in the scar tissue falling over and exposing newer skin which is smooth and devoid of scarring.

  8. Topical Creams: These are the most commonly available over the counter solutions for acne scars which help reduce their appearance. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist and ask a free question.

I am having a lot of dead skin getting accumulated over and near my genital area what should I do?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
I am having a lot of dead skin getting accumulated over and near my genital area what should I do?
It is very essential to cleanse and exfoliate inner thigh area skin near genitals every day just as we do with our faces. When we neglect other parts while pampering face, this results in patchy dark skin. So follow this daily care routine for getting rid of dark folded areas. •Take milk and rub your dark area with it. Milk is an excellent cleanser and a toner too. •After cleansing, use a scrub, preferably APRICOT SCRUB (BAKSON), to exfoliate the skin around your dark areas. •You may mix olive oil with sugar and rub gently to scrub your dark areas •Sometimes use another scrub having bleaching agent such as lemon juice. You will find many scrubs here in this article that you can use for daily exfoliation. •After exfoliating, wash off with water and apply some moisturizer. •Never step out in sun when you apply lemon juice on your skin. This will make your dark areas darker than before. If you follow the above skin care regime daily, you will begin seeing result in a two week’s time. However, do not stop and continue cleansing, scrubbing and moisturizing your skin. Home Remedy Oats is not only good for your overall health but also for your patchy dark spots. As we do not pay more attention towards cleaning our other areas while doing every thing for our face- from cleansing, scrubbing, moisturizing and what not – our skin folds gets dirty with the oil and fine grit deposits. This makes it look patchy and dark. Oats can be used as a scrub as well as a mask for dark areas when mixed with certain other skin lightening ingredients. Use oats as a scrub for dark areas You will need: • Oats – ground it coarsely, do not make fine powder out of it • Tomato pulp • Water • Moisturizer Directions: • Take the coarsely ground oats powder. • Mix tomato pulp to it to get a paste like consistency. • Apply this mixture to your entire folded region. • Leave it for about 15-20 minutes. • Now wet your fingers a littles and start rubbing your dark areas gently in circular motions. The coarse oats will have an exfoliating effect to remove dead skin cells from your dark areas. • After scrubbing dark areas with this natural oats scrub for about 5-7 minutes, wash off with water. • Apply some moisturizer on dark folded areas and massage gently. You may use this scrub twice or even thrice in a week depending upon the intensity of dark patchy folded skin. While oats will remove dirt and dead cells, tomato pulp will lighten the skin due to its natural bleaching properties. Homoeopathic medicine BLOOME-201 SOAP (BIOFORCE) Apply this soap while taking bath------ WHITENING CREAM (BIOVALLEY) Apply on dark patch folded areas twice daily Consult me after 30 days.

Hi. There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium can worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days. Use Bakson's Apricot scrub at least once a week.
