Me and my girlfriend had unprotected sex on 20th of March and I cummed inside. Her period date was 28th of March but she missed her period. She haven't yet got her period. We took a pregnancy test on 5th April but the result was negative. There are no symptoms of pregnancy except the missed period. Is my girlfriend pregnant.

MBBS
General Physician, Cuttack
Risk of pregnancy is less since you had sex during the safe period (last week of Menstrual cycle. Repeat pregnancy test 10 days after missed period and consult doctor for advice.

Dear Lybrate user. Please ask your husband to be gentle while handling your breast. Pleasure will be available when it is handled gently. The sagging problem could come. But breast size will not increased due to that. Take care.

Hi Sir, I am asking this for my wife. Our marriage was on 31st December 2015 and till April 16th she had menses. Then she took bath on 21st April and till date she didn’t have any menses and she got back pain too. Also can you please tell me after that how many days need for a pregnancy test? Thanks.

Thank you for your question I am assuming that her period was due on the 16th may which she has now missed. You can do a urine pregnancy test now and if it is positive please see your local gynaecologist for a check up and basic investigations. Generally I recommend a pregnancy test if the period is seven days overdue. It should ideally be done with an early morning sample of urine as this is the most concentrated sample of the day. Best wishes.

Hi I'm 26 years old not married, I'm getting bleeding more than 1 week is it any problem pls help me.

Menorrhagia is the medical term for menstrual periods with abnormally heavy or prolonged bleeding. Although heavy menstrual bleeding is a common concern among premenopausal women, most women don't experience blood loss severe enough to be defined as menorrhagia. Common causes include: Hormone imbalance. ... Dysfunction of the ovaries. ... Uterine fibroids. ... Polyps. ... Adenomyosis. ... Intrauterine device (IUD). ... Pregnancy complications. ... Cancer. Phosphorus is considered the top natural Homeopathic medicine when the woman experiences slight vaginal bleeding in between periods. Uterine haemorrhage in between periods due to fibroids, polypus and cancer of uterus is also very effectively treated by Homeopathic remedy Phosphorus. The blood is bright red in most cases.

If it is one off it may be related to stress /anxiety occasionally ; hence see what happens over the next 2-3 months. However if you are sexually active then I would advice you to do a urine pregnancy test.

Dear user. I can understand. If you do not take precautions you could contract STDs or STI. Take precautions. Use condoms. Do not suck or lick the vagina. Do not have lip to lip deep kissing. You should make sure that all these precautions are taken before having first sexual intercourse with your girlfriend. Take care.

Does using condom only is enough to prevent pregnancy. Can a girl can become pregnant by fingering if sperm present on that finger. If so how to prevent pregnancy from this activity. Why because it is very much difficult to ensure whether sperm was spent on that finger or not. Please tell.

Condom can have a failure rate of as high as 14%. Anything can happen during peak time of ovulation. Get test done for pregnancy if period is missed.

Hello doctor. Need your advice on second pregnancy. Currently having 1 year little one through C-section. My age is 31. Is it right time to get pregnant again.

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
we suggest a gap of 3 years but it's your choice of raising 2 babies. some women like a gap of a year and raise two kids like twins while others wait for first child to be school ready. as far as operation is concerned, more chances of a normal delivery if gap is more and other parameters are normal for delivery. the trial is the effort provided your doctor is with you with ready ot in case operation is needed. ultrasound guided delivery is done these days and it's reassuring for the mother about progress being visible
