If scarring has occurred nothing can be done. Some causes of scarring are recurrent. And sometimes asymptomatic. Hence will recommend regular comprehensive dilated eye checkup. At 6 to 24 months interval depending on the cause of scarring and your eye status.

Sometimes when I rub my eyes. I start to loose vision on the eye that I rub. And it really scares me because I literally can't see for a few minutes, but it slowly fades away and my vision comes back. Do I have a problem with my eye or vision?

The photo receptors that pick up light are sensitive to pressure. When you rub your eyes the stimulation must be similar in intensity . but it isn't very good because it does put a lot of pressure on the eyeballs. It also disturbs the several protective layers of moistures, oils, and proteins on your cornea and front of the eye. That's why it's blurry for a while after wards.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

I have red eyes since 3 days. What is the reason. Nd eyes also red after the driving 2 vehicle.
Eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye (sclera) become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: • Eye dryness • Too much sun exposure • Dust or other particles in the eye • Allergies • Infection • Injury Eye infections or inflammation can cause redness as well as possible itching, discharge, pain, or vision problems. Homoeopathic medicine EUPHRASIA 30 ( Dr Reckeweg) Drink 2 drops direct on tongue every 2-3 hrly EUPHRASIA EYEDROPS ( SBL ) pour into eyes 1-2 drops 3 times daily If no relief within 2 days, please cosult an Eye specialist for physical examination.

Hello lybrate-user. The commonest cause for watering of the eyes is allergy. You should KNOW YOUR EYE ALLERGY first. •There are various EYE ALLERGIES TRIGGERS: A person can be allergic to: Pollen from grasses, weeds, and trees. These are the most common kinds of eye allergies and are called SEASONAL ALLERGIC CONJUNCTIVITIS. •Dust, pet dander, and other indoor allergens. These eye allergies last year-round and are called CHRONIC (PERENNIAL) CONJUNCTIVITIS. •Makeup, perfume, or other chemicals can trigger eye allergies called CONTACT CONJUNCTIVITIS. •An allergy to contact lenses, called GIANT PAPILLARY CONJUNCTIVITIS, makes eyes sensitive and red. Just like any other allergic reaction, they are caused by a MISFIRING OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM, the body's natural defense mechanism. It releases HISTAMINE, a chemical that causes swelling and inflammation. Symptoms to Watch For •Red, irritated eyes •Itchiness •Tearing or runny eyes •Swollen eyelids •Soreness, burning, or pain •Sensitivity to light Usually you’ll also have other allergy symptoms, such as a stuffy, runny nose and sneezing. DON'T TAKE YOUR EYES FOR GRANTED! Protect your sight with these six tips: 1. Eat for Good Vision 2. Quit Smoking 3. Wear Sunglasses / helmets to shield your eyes from dust, sunlight, pollution 4. Wash your eyes 3-4 times a day 5. Look Away From the Computer Screen at regular intervals 6. Avoid rubbing your eyes with fingers/ cloth/ shirt/ dupatta, etc. Everyone, even young children, should get their eyes examined regularly. It helps you protect your sight and see your best. It would also enable the doctor to diagnose any other problem in the eye. Take care-regards

I have a lot of weight. I used many medicines. Does exercise. But it does not see any change. What should I do.
The weight gain in the body is due to the more of the calories in your diet than you burn in the whole day. One should eat balanced diet comprising of Carbohydrates-50%, protein-40% and fat 10% in right ratio with a maximum of 1500-1800 calories per day. To keep satiety at meals increase your protein and lower your cabs content, these wills the amount of food in next meal and thus decrease calorie consumption. Good choices of protein to be opted are: •Egg white •Sprouts •Mushroom •Oats •Chicken and fish Drink plenty of water and do not include high density source of calorie rich snacks like nuts and seeds. Make sure to include workout schedule at least 5 times a week along with maintaining rest session and complete sleep for a healthy body and mind.

Hi Kindly get your eye sight checked as the blurring in visiion is evident. Homoeopathic medicines can be taken to strengthen the ciliary muscles (eye muscles) that helps in better accomodation of vision. Make sure you are not working under dim light.

I've been suffering from (SEES) sharp edge eyes syndrome where I can not look at any sharp and pointed object or corners of any object. There is no headache, its just a strong urge to look away from it and even than there could be a discomfort because of its image being still there in my memory. Sometimes I might feel normal looking at such objects but suddenly I became aware of it and same thing happens. I've suffering from it since my childhood, now I am 40. This has been a big hurdle in my academic as well as professional life. Please suggest ant solution if there is any. Thank You.

Dear Lybrate user:- SEES is equivalent to visual looming syndrome. It is problems with visual perception that causes people to inaccurately think that a stationary object is moving toward them & might poke their eyes. It's neurological and muscular state, where faulty eye coordination causes the brain to interpret incoming inperception as visual looming events.(I.e. Feeling that an object is approaching & might hit the eyes. Make urgent appointment privately with me for further clarification of your eyes problems.

I'm 21 and got my eyes treated with the lazik eye treatment, for removing the power out of my eyes, it's been more than 6 months now. Some times I don't feel good, it's like i'm seeing two things all of a sudden. It's not a regular thing but it happens some times. I still wear glasses sometimes because I feel I don't appear good without them.

FICO, Specialist in Cataract,Cornea and refractive surgeries , MD - Ophthalmology
Ophthalmologist, Srinagar
Kindly mention your vision post lasik. If you have a residual refractive error, you have to use spectacles. Under correction or overcorrection is a common problem after lasik. Another thing is convergence insufficiency. When you are using minus number glasses, it has a prismatic effect. So you dont have to use your muscles much for the near vision, as a result the strength of muscle decrease with time. After lasik there can be easy fatiguibility, especially for near work. However with convergence exercises the strength of muscles is regained with time.

allergy can be controlled easily using eye drops. But there are many eye drops and specific eye drops can only be prescribed after seeing the eye clinically as treatment depends on severity. also dip a handkerchief in little cold water and keep over closed eyes.. you will feel better
