Hi lybrate-user, this is quite a common problem of people with oily skin. A good scrub can surely help reduce the oilyness and pustules. Initially you may scrub every alternate day and later once the problem areas are cleared you may scrub twice a week to prevent re occurence of the problem. As your skin is oily you may use a powdered scrub mixed into a paste using rose water and chana dal powder rather than a very oily based scrub.

Most important is hygeine. Keep your body clean and scrubbed, wear cotton clothes. Bathe twice with anti bacterial soap like Cetaphil or Sebamed. Improve your diet, leave junk food. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables Home made ubtans have also been found to work effectively on back spots and pimples. Mix gram flour, haldi, yogurt and olive oil and scrub your back. After scrubbing wash with lukewarm water and apply alomd + olive oil. This week take 2 weeks to show results but results are permanent

Flaky Skin - Why You Should Moisturize it Daily?

MBBS, M.Med.Sci Cosmetology, Ph.D Cosmetology(prel)
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Chennai
Flaky Skin - Why You Should Moisturize it Daily?

When the natural moisture content of your skin begins to dry up, you experience dry skin. Although it is a temporary skin condition which occurs mainly during the winter or in a generally dry climate, for some people, it could be a problem for a lifetime.

Naturally dry skin tendencies v/s drying of other skin types
Naturally, the water content of a healthy skin is around 10 to 20 percent. This natural moisture level can dwindle due to many factors and the skin may show signs of drying. Thus you may end up getting dry, flaky, itchy and lifeless skin. People with naturally dry skin experience 75 percent more water loss than normal skin. Since the skin loses water and sebum (the oil secretion from the sebaceous glands within the skin), the topmost layer of the skin begins to dry. As a result, the top layer starts peeling away. These skin peels are called flakes.

Causes

  1. You can experience dry skin due to excessively cold weather, which in most cases is accompanied by a lack of humidity.
  2. Again, if your skin is exposed to too much heat or skin drying conditions like sauna baths or prolonged hot showers, you experience dry skin.
  3. Applying skin cleansing materials or chemicals can also make the skin dry.
  4. Some internal disorders like illness or infection can make your skin dry.

Treatment
When you have a perennially dry skin, you should moisturize it daily to keep it hydrated. You should consult a dermatologist for picking out the right skin cream for your skin. The appropriate moisturizer, if you have very dry skin should be oil or petroleum based. When you purchase the prescribed moisturizer or lotion, make sure you buy something which contains vitamin E, Shea Butter and Avocado Oil. Since these moisturizing agents aren’t water based , they can lock in the skin moisturizer effectively.

Advantages of moisturising regularly

  1. Dry skin is prone to wrinkle formation – When you moisturize daily, the collagen levels of your skin are restored, which can then effectively fight wrinkling and aging of your skin.
  2. Prevents flakiness – Since the upper layer of your skin starts peeling off, your skin may appear dull, lifeless and flaky. The condition worsens when there is a cold weather outside. Moisturizing your skin daily will make your skin get a natural glow and stop flaking form occurring in the first place.
  3. Reduces itchiness: Moreover, daily moisturizing will make your skin less itchy.
  4. Moisturising reduces the negative effects of makeup: Not moisturizing dry skin will make it look less hydrated. Applying makeup on your dry skin directly is the worst thing you can do. This may spoil your makeup and make it look creasy and broken. Thus, you should keep your skin hydrated by applying moisturiser regularly.

Hello doctor, I m suffering from dark circle, please send me best cream for that.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello doctor, I m suffering from dark circle, please send me best cream for that.
The dark can be inherited and can't be cured permanently (but can be improved to some extent) or it can be of recent origin as a result of any illness, nutritional deficieny, insufficient sleep or rest, erratic and unhealthy diet intake, stress/ tension, depression, working long hours on computer, exposure to sunlight, etc. Recent dark circles can be treated by correcting the underlying deificiency, diet, sleep or the cause. Take homoeopathic medicine – Schwabe's Alfalafa Tonic/ 1 tsp thrice a day daily for 20 days and revert me back about the condition. Apply Bakson's Under Eye Cream twice daily (in morning and at night).

Hi the best thing to do is visit your cosmetic dermatologist who will suggest the best treatmnet for your skin in the mean time please try this. Papaya for the pimple prone Papaya is an essential ingredient in a lot of beauty products on the market today, but theres no need to go out of your way to gain its benefits? Plain raw papaya is an all-natural acne remedy that removes dead skin cells and excess lipids from the surface of the skin, leaving it soft and smooth. Lipids are a general term for fats, of which oil is a form of. Papaya also contains an enzyme called papain, which reduces inflammation and helps prevent the pus from forming. You will need… -1 fresh papaya Directions Rinse your face with water and pat dry. Mash up the flesh of the papaya well, until it is of a consistency that can be easily applied to your skin. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes, and then rinse off completely with warm water. If your skin has a tendency to get dry after you cleanse it, use a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type afterwards.

Her breast produces liquid white discharge during love-making sessions, when pressed with even little pressure. Only the left breast. Is it anything to be concerned about?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Normal nipple discharge more commonly occurs in both nipples and is often released when the nipples are compressed or squeezed (nipples may secrete fluid when they are stimulated or squeezed during love making). Some women who are concerned about breast secretions may actually cause it to worsen. They do this by repeatedly squeezing their nipples to check for nipple discharge. In these instances, leaving the nipples alone for a while may help the condition to improve. So no problem in your case. It is normal---------------------

I have some sort of itching on my thigh area and they are only near thigh, genital and hip area not on any other part...
It is very essential to cleanse and exfoliate genital inner thigh area skin every day just as we do with our faces. When we neglect other parts while pampering face, this results in dark itchy skin. So ----------- 1. Apply olive oil twice a week 2. Apply moisturising cream daily when ever you apply it on face-- 3. Right now for itching apply this homoeopathic cream twice daily.
