Hi, acne scars need a lot of patience to fade away. 1) stay out of the sun. Exposing scars to the sun can cause them to darken and slow the healing process, ultraviolet rays of sun stimulate melanocytes (pigment-producing cells), leading to further discoloration. 2) use an oil free sunscreen with spf more than 30.3) don't pick and squeeze your pimples. Acne scars are typically indented because of collagen loss from intense inflammation. 4) apply lemon juice mixed with honey, aloe vera juice directly from the plant and give your face an olive oil massage before sleeping. 5) take vitamin a supplements and carrot juice. 6) try homoeopathic berberis aquifolium gel to remove scars.

All About Shingles

Shingles is a type of skin infection that results in rashes on certain parts of the body. It is characterized by a single stripe of blisters that may occur on either side of the body. The varicella-zoster virus that causes chickenpox is also responsible for causing shingles. Once you have had chickenpox, the virus remains in a dormant state in the body. If the virus gets reactivated, it might cause shingles.

The symptoms of shingles are:

  1. You may experience sensations of numbness and burning on the affected area
  2. The affected area may be sensitive to touch
  3. Symptoms of red rashes on the body
  4. Blisters that are filled with fluid
  5. Bursting of blisters and crusting
  6. You may experience fever and headaches
  7. You may have difficulties in vision

The first symptom of shingles is the pain that results from the rash. In some cases, rashes may occur around the eyes.

Causes:

Shingles is caused by the virus that is responsible for chickenpox. After lying dormant for certain period of time, the virus may get reactivated and travel through the nerve pathways on the skin. This is more likely to happen if your immunity level is somehow affected, which makes it easier for the body to get infected.
The disease is contagious in nature, so it is advised to stay away from people who have shingles. Remember that if you are not immune to chickenpox, then coming in contact with a person who has shingles, might result in you developing chickenpox.

Shingles may result in certain complications in the body such as:

  1. Vision loss: Shingles, if present around the eyes, may lead to infections in the eye causing vision problems.
  2. Post herpetic neuralgia: In some cases, the pain that occurs from shingles may continue well after the infection has subsided.
  3. Neurological complications: Shingles may cause inflammation in various nerves, resulting in neurological disorders such as facial paralysis and balance problems.
  4. Infections in the skin: Shingles may also cause infections on the skin.

I am 23 years old male. I have knee pain since 2 yrs. I go to gym regularly. I have visited some doctors. One said there is swelling in the cartilage and don't do squats in gym. I don't do that but there is no relief in pain. I feel this pain only during running and using stairs. Rest of the time I don't feel pain in normal movement of the joint. But that motion of the joint is not smooth. I feel some crackling sound in my knees. I do exercises to strengthen the quadriceps but nothing happened. Is there any damaged in the cartilage due my high and frequent sports activities. I feel pain in both knees.

Dear lybrate-user, you appear to have damage in the cartilage of the knee cap portion of the knee joint. It is advised that you do not continue doing squats/ climb stairs, etc. However if these precautions are not improving your symptoms then you nee to get the consultation of a sports surgeon to assess the degree and size of the cartilage injury in your knee joint. Superficial and small cartilage damages can be managed completely with physical rehabilitation. However large or deep lesions would need stem cell treatment techniques to repair the damage. The best way to avoid these health problems is to maintain a healthy weight. And the keys to healthy weight are regular exercise and good eating habits. To stay active, try to exercise 30 to 60 minutes every day. Your exercise doesn’t have to be hard. Walking, swimming, and stretching are all good ways to burn calories and can help you stay fit. Try these activities to get moving: Go outside for a walk. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Walk or bike to places (such as school or a friend’s house) instead of driving. If you have to drive somewhere, park farther away than you need to and walk the extra distance. Tackle those household chores, such as vacuuming, washing the car, or cleaning the bathroom – they all burn calories. Alternate activities so you don’t get bored: Try running, biking, skating. Limit your time watching TV or playing video games; even reading a book burns more energy. Go dancing — it can burn more than 300 calories an hour! Eating well doesn’t mean dieting over and over again to lose a few pounds. Instead, try to make healthy choices every day. Soft drinks, fruit juices, and sports drinks are loaded with sugar; drink fat-free or low-fat milk or water instead. Eat ample amount of fruit and vegetables every day. Eat a healthy breakfast every day. Don’t eat meals or snacks while watching TV because you’ll probably end up eating more than you intend to. Pay attention to the portion sizes of what you eat. If you want a snack, try carrot sticks, a piece of fruit, or a piece of whole-grain toastinstead of processed foods like chips and crackers, which can be loaded with fat and calories. Eat when you’re hungry, not when you’re bored or because you can’t think of anything else to do.

The principal symptoms of dengue are: -high fever and at least two of the following: -severe headache -severe eye pain (behind eyes) -joint pain -muscle and/or bone pain -rash -mild bleeding manifestation (nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising) Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Report immediately to hospital if any of the following warning signs appear: -severe abdominal pain or persistent vomiting -red spots or patches on the skin -bleeding from nose or gums -vomiting blood -black, tarry stools  -drowsiness or irritability -pale, cold, or clammy skin -difficulty breathing

Please take a dose of acid phos 1 m single dose and revert after 2 weeks. Lifestyle changes 1. Dark circles are because of lack of nutrients. Sleep and weakness. So take proper nutrients and drink plenty of juices and sleep for atleast 7 hours a day. Drink 7-8 glasses of water every day.

Here are healthy ways on how to increase height naturally after 18. Minerals like calcium, manganese and zinc aids in building bone tissue, improving blood circulation and boosts height growth naturally. So have broccoli, cabbage, spinach, prunes, peaches, grapes, bananas, pumpkin, carrot, peanuts and legumes. Suryanamaskar or Sun Salutation is a great way to increase height and stay fit. The twelve poses are done in a cyclic manner to strengthen muscles and improve posture. If you don’t have too much time on your hands, you can just practice Suryanamaskar for 10-20 times each day. Trikosana or triangle pose is great way to achieve good height and body balance. The parivrittatrikosana or reverse triangle pose also helps in gaining height. Vrikasana or tree pose help in getting balance and harmony. Tree pose also helps to stretch the muscles of the body. You can also practice breathing and meditation to calm your mind and de-stress. Since a mind free of depression and stress helps in proper growth. Water flushes out toxins from your body and aids in digestion. Therefore, at least drinking 8 glasses of water every day is recommended for a better health any querries inform me.

To lose weight, you have to maintain an input-output ratio. Whatever food you eat contains the input calories which gives you the output calories in the form of energy. If your input calories is too much, you are likely to put on weight. The best way to lose weight is to exercise or spend the additional calories accumulated in your body in the form of fat. The other most important thing is to eat wisely. Try to cut down the excessive calories you are eating and make sure whatever you eat is healthy. Some tips to lose weight - 1. Have more fruits and vegetables than junk food and juices. 2. Avoid sugar as much as you can 3. Exercise 3-4 times a week. 4. Have an early dinner, preferably before 8 p. M. 5. Do not starve yourself. Eat small meals 5 times a day. 6. Have barley soup in dinner and avoid rice at night. 7. Drink lots of water daily.

Dengue is a vector borne infectious disease, which spreads through bite of dengue virus infected Aedes mosquitoes in tropical and sub tropical areas mostly. This disease is a viral fever and the virus is dengue virus which have been known to have 4 types of strains or subspecies of dengue virus. These strains are spread mostly in Delhi and among these type 4 strain of dengue virus is rare and very dangerous according to AIIMS survey held last year. The most common symptoms are high fever associated with chills, rigor may or may not be present, Joint pain occurs in all big and small joints though small joints are less frequently involved, severe dehydration and bleeding tendency is also known to occur frequently. Dengue rashes are hemorrhagic red rashes which develop after 7 days of dengue fever over face, thorax and flexor surfaces of body due to thrombocytopenia. Diagnosis of dengue is only confirmed by ELISA test in any district or government hospital. So avoid rapid diagnostic kit in local pathological laboratory as kit test shows 50% false positive. If high fever occurs in this season, then get it treated and diagnosed urgently. Take care.

Follow these best tips to lightens and remove the dark spots- 1. Take fuller, s earth (multani mitti) and sandalwood powder (chandan powder) mixed in same quantity mixed in water and apply on the mark in night and wash it after 1 hour. It will slowly removes the spots. 2. Take a piece of aloe vera. Apply gel of leaves on mark daily. Wash it after 30 minutes. 3. Crush one tomato and apply the paste on spots. It will remove the spots definitly. 4. Soak cotton gauze in rose water and clean the dark spots 2-3 times daily. 5. Take carotene rich vegetable suchas carrots, beetroot and fruits- mango, pineapple, strawberry regularly. 6. Avoid use of any cosmetic products. 7. Avoid continous long hours exposure of sunlight.

Include lots of green leafy vegetables and sweet juicy fruits. Dairy products such as milk and fresh yogurt will also help. Fresh coconut is also considered excellent "hair food" -- sprinkle grated coconut over salads, diced fresh fruit, or rice. 1. Green Leafy Vegetables: Regular intake of Green leafy Vegetables - Spinach, Lettuce, Leafy Greens, Turnip Greens, Broccoli, Beans and Green Peppers are rich in nutrients that help and promote Hair growth. 2. Other Vegetables and Fruits: Two fresh fruits per day :- cut and eat with fruit skin, no juice. 3. Sprouts: Green gram dhal Sprout. There are so many sprouts like Mung Beans, Green gram dhal, Peas It is also very easy to prepare! Soak Green gram dhal in an air tight Box . Then in the afternoon strain the water and close the box, put the box in a dark place. In the Morning the sprouts will be ready for you to Eat. It will be very effective when taken with the morning meal. 4 Almonds/4 Walnuts on alternate day?s and 2Dates/2Figs on also alternate day?s and 2 prunes daily. 5. Good news for Fish lovers! Add a healthy pinch of each to single-portion soups and stews as they are cooking. Saut� 1/8 -1/4 teaspoon each of the three spices in a teaspoon of ghee (clarified butter) or olive OIL and add to cooked veggies. Hello, you should try Exercise like stretching swimming regularly yoga like Tadasan and Sarvang asana. Play Basket ball regularly. Take proper balanced nutritios and protein rich diet. *Mix two tablespoons of ashwagandha powder in a glass of warm cow’s milk. 1. Add sugar or jaggery according to your taste and mix well. 2. Drink it every night before going to bed at least for 45 days to increase your height. I suggest you to follow these exercises on regular basis in order to get result.
