After tooth removal: 1. Take out the cotton dressing after half an hour after tooth removal. 2. Be on cold liquid diet for 2 days. 3. Don't spit vigorously on the day of removal. 4. On the day of removal don't rinse your mouth with water or any liquid. 5. Don't eat anything from the side of tooth removal for 2-3 days. 6. Day after removal rinse your mouth with saline (salt) water. You do this thrice a day for 1 week. This will keep food particles out of socket and enhance healing. 7. Don't touch the wound with fingers or even tongue which contaminates it and will take longer to heal. 8. You can have 1 capsule of b complex with vitamin c for better nutrition that favors healing. Try any cream containing potassium nitrate, it will give you a instant relief so use it before eating anything so you can have proper diet. And than replace your tooth paste with" nafix" it will help to restore enamel. You can also visit a dentist for professional varnish application it will give instant and lasting relief from sensitivity plus also you will be getting the reason for your sensitivity.

this condition develops due to poor oral hygiene. deposition of plaque and calculus around teeth cause gum infection which becomes aggressive when body defence is low. visit a periodontist for your proper treatment. first of all you need to get your teeth professionally cleaned. you can use antibiotic mouth rinses twice a day. brush twice a day with soft bristle brush. rinse your mouth after every meal.

There are so many causes of mouth ulcers like- -stress or tissue injury is thought to be the cause of simple mouth ulcers. -certain foods, including citrus or acidic fruits and vegetables (such as lemons, oranges, pineapples, apples, figs, tomatoes and strawberries), can trigger a mouth ulcer. -sometimes a sharp tooth surface also trigger mouth ulcers. -some cases of complex mouth ulcers are caused by an underlying health condition, such as an impaired immune system; nutritional problems, such as vitamin b-12, zinc, folic acid, or iron deficiency and gastrointestinal tract disease, such as coeliac disease and crohn's disease. -when you first quit smoking, you may develop more mouth ulcers than normal, but this is temporary. Usually ulcer heals by itself only within 1 week. You can take'becosule capsule' once in a day for 1 week for faster recovery. Temporarily you can apply mucopain gel over ulcer for relief.

My teeth becomes yellowish suggest me something to get white teeth again naturally.

BDS
Dentist, Gurgaon
My teeth becomes yellowish suggest me something to get white teeth again naturally.
Yellowness of teeth might be due to tartar and stains on the teeth surface, which does not go by itself. You need to go for a professional cleaning of teeth that will remove stains and tartar so that they can be white again. Teeth cleaning is a recommended process every six months.

At what age tonsillectomy is required and what are the precautions to be taken after it?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
At what age tonsillectomy is required and what are the precautions to be taken after it?
A tonsillectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the tonsils. Tonsils are two small glands located in the back of your throat. Tonsils house white blood cells to help you fight infection, but sometimes the tonsils themselves become infected. Precautions: don't take aspirin or other medications containing aspirin for at least two weeks prior to surgery. Don't eat anything after midnight before the scheduled surgery. Your surgeon should provide you with instructions about eating food and drinking liquids prior to reporting to the hospital. Make arrangements for a ride home. Plan for 10 days to two weeks or more of recovery time. Adults may need more time than children do.

Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner.
