I am facing a problem in my right arm (Righthander) when I throw a ball at faster speed or long distance giving jerk or may be swing the hand faster imitating to throw, I kind of feel pain which is from past 2-3 years (22 years age). There was no injury previously. After a few minutes the pain vanishes.

Hello, it should b ascertained by an ortho-surgeon, the condition of coracoid process of your shoulder joint. * articulation of muscle of your shoulder joint is a little bit injured sustaining continuous jerks as expressed by you. Or it may be osteoartheritis. In both d cases you need physiotherapy along with homoeo medicines**(pill no 40) @ arnica 200-6 pills, thrice a day. @ rhus tox 200-6 pills, thrice a day * avoid, junk food, replacing with easily digestible diet. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

I am 80 years male resident of Delhi and have cervical spondylosis (left side) for the past two years. After X-Ray been diagnosed C1-C2 arthiritis(left side). I was earlier on medication and exercises as recommended by my doctor and have have very good relief and discontinued all medication nearly 18 months ago. However since this morning after a shower, I felt a severe shooting pain for a few seconds and it has repeated again 3/4 times in my upper arm joint which is not muscular. : keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Do have movement for every 3 hours of 10 minutes do take ift and laser therapy for pain relief for 7 days regularly followed by strengthening exercise from physiotherapist best wishes.

Yes it may be due to vit b12 deficiency. Pls take dosage as suggested and still not have any improvement please report to your doctor. But generally b12 will help. Thanks.

Sir your muscle pain could arise due to low vitamin d or b12 or elevated uric acid, so get your vitamin d3, vitamin b12 and uric acid levels and revert back with reports.

These are the features of plantar fasciatis. Use soft sole sleepers. Take some painkillers like combiflam for 7-10 days. You can also visit a physio who will advise you plantar stretching exercises.

Dear lybrate user Prolong sitting or standing positions can affect pain or stiffness to back or neck.thats because of your body/ muscular system remains at same stage or resting stage. it (bones &muscles) gets good nutrition, oxygen as well as good circulation while they are in active stage.Position should be correct while working. you must add some activities as cycling, walking or running, etc.in routine. it will strengthen your body and speed up body metabolism too.you must take mini breaks while working and do simple stretch to muscles.

X rays of both knee joints (digital) this could be due to oa knee &/or obesity. Physiotherapy along with medicines will help. Do knee exercises. It may have to be further investigated rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Any way take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days caldikid plus (mankind) 1 tab odx10days you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Don't ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Calf stretches standing calf stretch stand away from a wall and put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day.
