For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Rest. Take a break from your normal activities. Ice. Place an ice pack or bag of frozen peas on the sore area for 15 to 20 minutes three times a day. Compression. Use a compression bandage to reduce swelling. Elevation. Elevate your foot to help reduce swelling.

Hi I can understand your problem. # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold foementation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumber support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same. In next consultation do share investigation reports if you have any.

Hi * stop playing completely or decrease your training. *apply ice to reduce inflammation. *gently stretch your achilles and your calves. *consider cross-training for a while swim, run in the pool or ride a bike. *when you return to cricket, increase your practice slowly. *make sure you wear the correct shoes do reply for detailed treatment plan. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take BioD3 Max 1 tab dailyx10 Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x5days Do back(spine)/shoulder/knee exercises Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take Do not ignore it. It may have to be further investigated. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days,then contact me again. Contact your family doctor or nearest hospital for emergency help.

u have to need spinal extension exercises. 1 u lying Supine then u bend ur both knee now u lift ur hip hold 5 second, do15 times. 2 now u prone in lying then place ur hand under the shoulder mount u lift ur shoulder hold for 20 second then relax. do 12 times . Take LS Belt while driving that can prevent spine from jerk.

From your complaints i deduce you have osteoarthritis of the knees. You can certainly get relief from pain. you need to send images of your x-rays.

Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

If you are able to walk, then there are less chances of fracture. If you can't take weight on leg, then x rays will be required. It may be sprained ligament which commonly occurs in such conditions.

Sciatica is the term used to describe compression of sciatic nerve (major nerve supplying most muscles of leg) due to some pathology in spine commonly disc prolapse (slip disc). Sciatica may be just associated with pain but in severe cases nerve compression can lead to paralysis of legs. Sciatica patients can get instant relief from pain by a procedure called epidural steroid injections. The drug is injected in epidural space (surrounding the spinal cord) which decreases the inflammation and pain of disc pressing on nerve. The procedure is done in operation theatre by interventional pain specialist using x ray machine. It relieves pain of sciatica and patient can easily start physiotherapy after this. Sciatica associated with leg weakness, loss of control over urine and stools requires urgent decompression surgery. In your case you should get consultation with a pain specialist in your city and get mri lumbo sacral spine done and proceed accordingly with further treatment.

Please note the following in respect to your queries: Straight ahead running puts very little stress on the ACL so you can likely get back to some running when you are comfortable and your surgeon is satisfied you are healed. It is also important that you strengthen your gluts and butt muscles to help control your leg motion and reduce your risk of damaging the ACL in the future. Your PT should be helping you with that portion of your rehabilitation. It takes at least a year for the graft to revitalize to the point where the tissue can repair itself. What that means for you is that each time you stretch the ligament before it is revitalized, you are stuck with a new longer length ligament; so the graft can become sloppy and not as effective at keeping your knee stable when you make lateral or cutting movements. The lack of stability is likely why you went through the procedure in the first place.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You issue of kidney stone has to be managed by a urologist. But you have also stated back pain and other joint pains as a cause. Please give a detailed discussion of your back pain which means duration of pain and mode of onset. I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias (electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Also would like to ask you which joints are involved, is there any stiffness when you get up in morning, have you got any investigations for it or not? if possible, please get cbc, esr, crp, serum vitamin d, serum uric acid levels and send reports across to me for further opinion. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
