I'm a single working girl living in Delhi from last 4 years. My breasts are lumpy in nature. Presently I'm on medication, taking treatment of hormonal imbalance. It's been (just) 3 months of the treatment. I've had (sometimes) irregular cycle of my periods, & during those days pain is almost excruciating. From last 6 months I've had a strange problem of having pain in my breasts. Upon (even little) stimulation, I can feel the tingling sensation & afterwards pain. Now lumps are more clear, so clear that I can feel them now & upon touching them pressingly, it hurts, also in one breast (my right one) I feel more pain. Earlier it wasn't like this. I've done the relevant tests done & the reports of those tests (Serum Prolactin, USG breasts & abdomen, TSH, Urine culture & Blood culture) are okay (if not normal) so to speak. Doctor has said it's the issue of hormonal imbalance which is causing this problem of pain in the breasts, lumpiness of the breast & (sometimes) irregular periods. But I'm afraid. I feel fearful of some major physical ailments which might be causing such conditions. I'm so afraid that these days I'm continuously thinking about it. I want to know what can be cause of - pain in the breasts, lumpiness of the breast & (sometimes) irregular periods. & how it can be taken care of? Please provide correct and relevant information.

My friend is having dark circles under her eyes, they are getting darker and darker. How the are getting darker? What is the solution of it?

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Say your friend to clean the gut, do fresh air walks, do deep breathing exercises, have rich iron, leafy greens, fiberous fruits and light major meals. Then raw milk cream enriched with saffron, curcumin, barberis aristata, rubia cordifolia may be massaged over dark circles, aloevera fresh pulp application on face and little meditation will help him a lot.

The infection generally goes away after a period of 6 months to 1 year. If not, it has to be removed by cryosurgery, laser surgery or chemicals which is done by skin specialists.

Hello lybrate user first of all I want to thank you that you analysed your body symptoms properly and decided to change the lifestyle. Truly speaking all the problems you are facing are because of unhealthy lifestyle. As well as you need detoxification of body that is panchakarm of body. I will explain this with one example if milk in the vessel is putrified simply throwing of milk and addiing new milk to that vessel will not solve issue. Because fresh milk may also gets putrified as it is in contact with dirty vessel. Likewise adoption of new lifestyle to toxified body will not solve the problem completely, you need to detox body with panchakarma.

Pityriasis Rosea And Its Treatment!

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy
Dermatologist, Mumbai
Pityriasis Rosea And Its Treatment!

Pityriasis Rosea is a common skin problem which causes a rash. Although, it can occur at any age, it is most often seen in those between the age  of 10 to 35. It is usually harmless and a pretty common condition. It is also worth noting that Pityriasis Rosea does not spread from person to person.

Causes: The exact cause of Pityriasis Rosea has not been identified yet. Some doctors claim that it is caused by a virus, bacteria, or fungus while others claim that it is caused by an allergic reaction.

Symptoms: There are a fair number of warning signs of the Pityriasis Rosea rash. The symptoms may differ depending on the patient's general health condition, the climate condition, and the season.

  1. Size and appearance at first: When the rash first appears, it has a raised border. Basically, it is a pink patch which can be single, round, or oval in shape. 2 cm to 10 cm is the usual range when it comes to the size of the patch.
  2. Few days or weeks later: After a few days, 1cm to 2cm patches appear on the abdomen, back, chest, legs and arms area. They sometimes spread to the neck, but rarely to the face.
  3. Back patches: The patches on the back are slightly different from the rest. They tend to be angled and look somewhat like a Christmas tree. Sometimes it is itchy, but it goes away within 6 to 8 weeks.

Treatment: Pityriasis Rosea goes away without treatment. It usually lasts about 6 to 8 weeks. However, in order to relieve itching at home:

  1. Apply anti-allergic powder.
  2. Avoid taking hot showers. Keep the water as cool as possible while taking the bath.
  3. Eat a lot of oatmeal and try bath products which have oatmeal in them.
  4. Hydrocortisone cream is very good for the itchy areas on your body. However, do not use these on the face or pubic areas.
  5. Use antihistamines, but, for children, you must check with the doctor first.
  6. Apply moisturizer regularly.
  7. Use gentle soaps and avoid deodorant soaps as these worsen the rash and the itching. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dermatologist.

Is it good to apply home made face packs everyday. Is it ok to apply and leave it overnight. Is it okay to use home remedies in fridge for many days. Does it work. Any problems to skin from all these activities?

MBBS, MD - MD- Skin & VD
Dermatologist, Ahmedabad
Hello. Everyday is it a good idea as skin gets used to it and it is not even a sure thing whether it is helping your skin or not. Some home remedies can give allergy. It is better to use them 2-3 times a week. Daily eating habits makes a better difference. Keeping it in freezer to store will be better than keeping in fridge.

If you are suffering from itching, aloe vera will be of great help. With all its moisturizing action, aloe vera is one of the most effective skin soothing agents. When you rub the gel over an itchy spot, it helps reduce the skin irritation in that area and provides quick relief from itching. Just break a leaf from the plant, cut it lengthwise using a knife and using a spoon, scoop out the jelly-like substance inside. Apply a little of this gel to the itchy area and leave it on for a few minutes.

Advanced Aesthetics
Ayurveda, Gulbarga
White glowing skin is a dream of all females and males which is a largest organ in our body that must be treated with a lot of care. The main causes of dark skin are - ? Exposing to sunlight for a long period of time, ? Lack of proper nutritional diet, ? Dehydration, ? Hormonal imbalance ? Improper production of melanin content and ? Pollution.. All we need is to protect our skin from further damage by just following some simple and natural solutions. ? Take a fresh healthy potato and peel it off. ? Grind and squeeze the juice from it. ? Apply the juice on your face and neck and leave it all over the night. ? Rinse with cold water in the morning. ? Repeated application of the potato tonic will rejuvenates the skin and improves the glowing complexion. ? Make a smooth paste with cucumber and raw milk. ? Apply the paste to your face and neck, let it dry. ? Rinse with luke warm water for getting soft and fair skin naturally at home. NOTE: Drink lots of water and fruit juices. Stay stress free. Do not expose to sunlight for a long time. Use good sunscreen lotions while going out. Do not forget umbrella or hat while going outside. Have a good sleep. Make sure of removing make up before bed? I'm white in color by my some part lyk knee n thigh near inner wear r dark y so how to make dem normal in colour.

Homeopath, Malappuram
Some areas of our body is darker than other area and that is quiet normal. This is because of the highest blood circulation in that particular area. Parts like pubic area. Armpit, inner thighs etc are comparatively darker than rest of the body. This is due to higher vascularise of that particular area. But in some cases, it can be due to dryness or any other infections, obesity,Thyroid disorders etc.
