First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily. * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised.

Never run or don't do any exercise beyond your capacity. When feel tired have some rest or stop running.

Daily morning surya namaskar 10 times before 8am (to make your mind healthy) drink fruit juices in morning (if possible have fresh fruit juices). Do not remain hungry at all. Keep eating at least 2 biscuits at 2 hours of intervals. Drink more and more water. And join swimming, which best for exercise of each and every muscles of our body (to make your body healthy). Try this for 1 month. You will definitely be helped by these steps which will make you energetic.

My 14 year old cousin have diabetes type 1. The low n highs are varying from 50 to 500 sometimes. Suggest something other than insulin that could help him. He is on regular insulin.

Mr Vijay, For T1 DM only medicine that works is Insulin injection world over. There is no other drug that can hepl in this condition. He has to be counseled to manage his insulin dosage and food intake. For a young person it is quite tough, but there is no alternative. In fact in bigger hospitals usually there is a group of T1 diabetes patients who meet regularly and discuss about problems related to kids with T1DM. That will be very helpful for him.

When fasting sugar is more than 140 and post prandial blood sugar is more than 200 a person is considered diabetic.when a person is having blood sugar less than this but more than the acceptable normal limit he has got IGT

Your diabetes is better understood by a test called hba1c. But your current sugar levels are suggesting you are quite close to controlled levels. So for erection failure, stress could be the cause. Relax. Take a holiday with wife. You will find happiness.
