Namaskar sir, From last one month I am having visible twitching on my both thighs near my quads after every 20 minutes which lasts for few seconds throughout day, sometimes I gets twitches in arm, hips and palm of hand, I consulted doctor but he said to take enough water but twitching is not going, I did my EEG and it shows normal eeg pattern, I am worried. Please help. Please please please please.

Muscle twitching is generally harmless. In certain cases it may be caused by serious illnesses affecting the nerves or muscles or spinal cord and brain. Thyroid and Parathyroid hormone dysfunction can also cause it. If your twitching is accompanied by 1. weakness of hands or legs 2. vision defects 3. loss of control over urine or stools 4. loss of sensation or tingling 5.difficulty breathing or swallowing Consult immediately with your doctor. You can get your Thyroid and Parathyroid hormone levels checked. If problem persists or is severe you may need MRI of brain and spine.

I feel tired all day physically as well as mentally.I did some routine blood test and nothing abnormal in that. From past few weeks i started having neck pain , shoulder pain as well as headache which lasts for few hours till i take painkillers. I personally wanted advise keeping in mind that is this related to stress/tensed lifestyle? I am struggling with family & marriage relation /career/ business pressure from 2-3 years.

I am suffering from heel spurs (herl bone growing) in both my feet from last 2 years and pain is worsening day by day. I had treatment from various doctors who prescribed me anti inflammatory and muscle strengthening medications injection but nothing positive is happening. Kindly advice if ESWT (shock wave therapy) is good or not for this? And what is cost ESWT treatment.

Pls go to sm good physiotherapy centre. After checking your reports and physical state, physiotherapist will make a protocol. Hopefully, ultrasonic therapy and hot and cold water therapy will help. They will prescribe sm exs also.

Try some remedies for joint pain: -ice packs can be used to soothe hot, swollen joints. -heat packs help to relax tense, tired muscles. -splinting of swollen or painful joints may be helpful, a physiotherapist or an occupational therapist (ot) may provide temporary splints for you. -pace yourself: overdoing things can increase your pain, but so can not doing enough. Your physiotherapist can advise you on increasing your activity level at a rate you can cope with and on finding the right balance between rest and activity. -take regular graded exercise: graded exercise starts slowly and increases in small steps. This will help you to strengthen your muscles and joints and increase your fitness. Improving your general fitness and stamina will help you to increase your activity level without increasing your pain. -mobilising, stretching and strengthening: your physiotherapist will assess your muscle strength and the range of movement in your joints, and advise on techniques and exercises so you can keep your joints working as well as possible. During running ,One leg of my kid turns out what can can be done to improve his leg position.He is very good in sport and plays tennis well.Just wanted to check there is no harm in future.

1. Massage
Massage therapy helps relieve joint pain by improving circulation and soothing inflammation. In fact, several studies indicate that regular massage can improve pain, stiffness and range of motion in the affected joint.
To massage the affected area, use warm oil like coconut, olive, mustard, castor or garlic oil and apply gentle pressure while massaging.

2. Hot and cold compresses
Alternating hot and cold compresses can also help ease joint pain. Heat therapy helps decrease pain, increase blood flow and relax sore muscles and joints. Cold therapy reduces inflammation and numbs the areas around the affected joint.
- Wrap both compresses in separate towels before using them. They should not be applied directly to the skin.
- Place the hot compress on the affected area for about three minutes.
- Remove the compress and immediately put a cold compress in its place for about one minute.
- Repeat the process for 15 to 20 minutes a few times daily until you get relief

dear nilofer, according age and height weight should be below 65kgs. avoid long standing. drink warm water in the morning and little excercises to reduce qeight. apply pain relief ointment with heat fermentation to reduce heel painor can take heel massager can be used at home.

Hi, please follow these tips: - wear varicose veins stockings while moving about to prevent further dilatation of the veins. - go for color doppler study of the affected limb to know the severity of the disease. - do not stand and work for long hours - consult a vascular surgeon and get yourself examined thoroughly. - perform leg raising exercises regularly. - keep your foot end elevated while sleeping.

1.Myth : pain persists after joint replacement

Truth: pan is usually relieved completely by around 2 months.pt can walk,sit and climb stairs without pain.

2.Myth: You have to be over 60 to consider knee replacement.

Truth: Living with a painful joint that prohibits you from working or participating in normal life activities is an outdated way of thinking. Age is not necessarily a limiting factor. Today's joint replacements last 25 years or longer and, for most people, will last a lifetime.
3. myth:complication are higher

Truth: in modern era ,complications are very minimal.
4.Myth: Both knees should not be replaced at the same time

Truth: Both knees can be replaced at the same time if the patient’s health condition s good. In fact many doctors prefer to do both the knee replacements simultaneously if they feel that patient can tolerate the procedure well. It not only saves money, but recovery is one, rehabilitation is done at the same time, patient gets back to work and thus saves a lot of financial burden on the patient which would happen otherwise.

Hello, 1. You can apply volini gel 1% local application twice a day for 3-5 days 2. Hot fomentation twice a day for 3 days I am giving to some common reasons for leg pain 1. Generalized weakness 2. Ideally you should recover completely after 5 years of ligament injury. You should go for a physiotherapy rehabilitation program for knee for at least 3 months. Before planning the surgery. As physiotherapy will strengthen your joint and make it more efficient.

Hi, my age is 30/M, I'm getting frequent cough, I feel uneasy full day, headache, body pain. I have left side stomach pain, I have lot of stress, My blood pressure is always 150/100, sometimes there is pain in my right side chest. For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg with rantac and For cough take syp ascoril-D 2.5 ml twice a day and For constipation eat food with high fiber content and eat bananas at bedtime and if necessary take two tsp of syp gudlax at night

Hello . At your age this pain seems to be off fibromyelgia. Are you taking any medicines for this pain? do thumb massage over the trigger points (painful points ). Apply ice. Take painkillers for suppose 7 days. Ask for detailed prescription of medicines.
