avoid walking on artificial turf like road or concrete floor and instead walk on natural surface like sand / grass. make sure your trainers (shoes) are meant for walking / jogging ( a decent branded trainer helps). good luck

No. It is not advisable to change or stop treatment on the basis of one single test. Wait for 2 more tests. If you are determined to stop your medications, focus on correcting and planning a correct diet and activity and work life balance, one that you can follow without pain through life. That way you will not go back into diabetes, once out of it. Remember, it is stress that triggers body to go into illness. Learn to manage and balance it.

I have frequent stomach problems. I have been diagnosed with IBS. What treatment options are available for IBS.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
I have frequent stomach problems. I have been diagnosed with IBS. What treatment options are available for IBS.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern. It's not clear what causes irritable bowel syndrome, treatment focuses on the relief of symptoms. Following steps should be taken 1. Eliminating high-gas foods such items as carbonated beverages, vegetables — especially cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower — and raw fruits. 2.Some people are sensitive to types of carbohydrates such as fructose, fructans & lactose, called FODMAPs .They are found in certain grains, vegetables, fruits and dairy products such as wheat, rye, barley, onion, garlic, apples, apricots, avocados, blackberries, cherries, etc. In some patient avoiding these food shows improvement in symptoms 3.Taking fiber supplements, such as psyllium or methylcellulose, with fluids may help control constipation. Fiber obtained from food may cause much more bloating compared with a fiber supplement. 4.Anti-diarrheal medications such as loperamide, can help control diarrhea. 5.Anticholinergic and antispasmodic medications. These medications, such as hyoscyamine and dicyclomine, can help relieve painful bowel spasms. They should not be used if you have constipation. 6.Counseling. You may benefit from counseling if you have depression or if stress tends to worsen your symptoms. 7. In some people improvement in diarrhea symptoms occurs, if they stop eating gluten (wheat, barley and rye) Don't worry you would be fine Hoping your query is solved.

When I read books continuously then their is heads and pain in my eyes. What to do for this problem.

When I read books continuously then their is heads and pain in my eyes. What to do for this problem.
Pain in the eyes and headache may have multiple causes associated with it. There are a few points you need to look at before jumping to any conclusions. Have you undergone an eye check up previously? is there any history of raised pressure in your eyes? do you have anybody in your family having raised eye pressure? do you suffer from recurrent cold, fever, cough, etc? do you have a lot of work/ study related stress? do you use glasses? the reason for asking all these questions is that headache and eye pain may occur due to various reasons ranging from change in glasses, sinusitis, migraine, glaucoma, tension, blood pressure and so on. The list is long. It would be a good idea to have a look at your eyes. This would help in coming to a decision whether your eye pain and headache is due to an eye problem. If you could use the video facility provided by lybrate and get in touch, I could probably guide you more accurately as to provide relief to your symptoms.

I am 25 years women I was suffering from headache and eye plain. I also have low bp.

MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
Low bp, and myopia or hypermetropia are included in one of the main causes of headache. Apart from that you are also suffering from migraine. In my opinion drink approx 4 ltrs of water a day and ors sachet 1sachet in 1litre of water sos to avoid low bp situation thus avoiding headache. For migraine pain, whenever you feel that pain has started, start taking tablet brufen twice a day for 3 days, tablet rantac empty stomach for 3 days, tablet ondem sos if pain is associated with vomiting. To reduce it's duration and frequency ask your nearest physician for tablet like beta cap plus which can be given after thorough examination, and also get screened up for eye disease.

Hot water bath is good for health. Can I take daily hot water bath. My doubts are if take daily it affects my sperm p...
You are right. Temperature of testes should be lower than the body so ideally in summers you should take bath by tap water temperatur. While in winters temperature should be warm enough for the bath. Too much temperature will reduce sperm counts. This is majore problem even abroad. So use tap water for daily bath. Another majour reson what people make mistake is --- your scortum hangs outside your body is because its temperature should be lesser than the body. Most people make mistakes by wearing tight underwears and that too for all 24 hours. Ideally underwear should be v shaped and should be one or two size bigger than you are wearing so that scortum hangs loosely in it. At night or on holidays, you should not be wearing underwear and scortum should hang freely in it. These are ways to keep your sperm counts in normal. Some foods also help to increase them.
