How to strong gums after orthodontic tell me any medicine/syrups.

BDS
Dentist,
If you have completed your othro treatment go for annual scaling and polishing. If you are still undergoing the treatment then buy a ortho cleaning kit from the market with interdental brushes. Clean gums are healthy and strong. No need to take any medicines for that.

Hi lybrate-user. It is important to confirm if your tooth is milk teeth or permanent teeth. If its permanent teeth (if it can be saved) thrn its better we save it. If it's milk teeth then removal followed by a tooth replacement is a best option. Consult a dentist.

BDS
Dentist,
What exposes your teeth to abuse is not how much you eat, but how often you eat. Every time you eat, bacteria convert the carbohydrates in the food into acids that can dissolve your tooth enamel. By snacking throughout the day, you make your teeth susceptible to constant bacterial attack. Hence avoid eating high sugar, high acid foods between meals. Diet soda may have no sugar but the acid in it can be dangerous to your tooth enamel. If you have a sweet tooth, it’s best to have sweets at meal times!

My one tooth have cavity problem. So I want to treatment for this.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist,
My one tooth have cavity problem. So I want to treatment for this.
We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need cleaning and artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

I am 36 year old male I am suffering for teeth shifting pain in my mouth what I do.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
I am 36 year old male I am suffering for teeth shifting pain in my mouth what I do.
The type of treatment you have for toothache /sensitivity/swelling will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.

I am chewing tobacco for more than 15years now these days I am feeling difficulties during eating something my mouth doesn't open fully .

MFDS RCPS (Glasgow), MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, BDS
Dentist, Delhi
I think you might be developing a condition called Oral Submucous Fibrosis (OSMF). This is considered a precursor stage to frank Oral Cancer. Please quit your tobacco as well as alcohol (if present) habits, immediately and completely. Do not use supaari or eat paan either. Avoid spicy foods. As for the reduced mouth opening, do start active and aggressive physiotherapy which would need to be continued lifelong. For additional treatment, please see an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon.

How to remove cavity from teeth and my teeth are yellow how to do white.

MDS - Prosthodontist and Implantologist, Root canal certificate, BDS
Dentist,
How to remove cavity from teeth and my teeth are yellow how to do white.
Hi I would advise you to get the cavity filled at the earliest by going to a dentist. Procrastinating the same will result in the decay to increase which would worsen the present situation. Regarding the yellowness of your teeth you need to get a round of scaling (cleaning) done from a dentist if there is presence of calculus. Following scaling, you should get bleaching done to whiten your teeth.

Recently I consulted a dentist n he advised me to choose between orthodentic treatment and cosmetic procedure. So, I am a little confused. Which is better and why? if I go for cosmetic procedure for midline diastema closure will it cause any harm in future?

Hi orthodontic treatment is time consuming it will take around 1yr to 1.5yrs for completion of the treatment whereas cosmetic treatment is not time consuming it will take around 15 days to 25 days maximum. If you are having only midline diastema problem then you can go for cosmetic treatment. Cosmetic procedure wont be harmful but you will have dental caps on your teeth so only thing you cant bite any thing hard from that teeth.Thank you

Gingivitis is a mild form of gum disease which occurs because of the inflammation of the gums. It can easily be reversed with daily brushing and flossing and getting dental cleaning done regularly.
