Is it necessary for everyone who suffering from dengue must be admitted in the hospital or they get cure at home by corrective measures.

AUTLS, CCEDM, MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
no its not necessary for everyone to get admitted to hospital. just keep a watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Report immediately to hospital if any of the following warning signs appear: -severe abdominal pain or persistent vomiting -red spots or patches on the skin -bleeding from nose or gums -vomiting blood -black, tarry stools  -drowsiness or irritability -pale, cold, or clammy skin -difficulty breathing There is no specific medication for treatment of a dengue infection. -Use analgesics with acetaminophen (crocin or dolo -650 mg) and avoid those containing ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin or aspirin containing drugs. -Take rest, drink plenty of fluids like coconut water, lime water prevent dehydration. -Avoid visiting heavily populated residential areas, if possible. -Use mosquito repellents/mosquito nets when indoors.

Hi Doctor. I am having a bunch of white hairs in midst of my black hairs, now it's not a matter of concern when I gel up my hairs but when I am at my home & look at mirror it makes me feel that I am getting older. Pls tell me what can be done as I don't believe in coloring my hairs, is there any natural way to keep my hairs in their original colors. Pls tell me what needs to be done?

Homeopath, Delhi
Hello, there can be many reasons behind it like *physical or emotional stress, inadequate protein intake, genetics, anemia, aging, hormonal changes, prolonged illness, deficiency of vitamin b6 and folic acid, thyroid diseases. Follow the tips *make a habit of 8-10 glasses of water daily. *eat healthy and balanced food like pulses, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and nuts etc. *eggs as it is loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amount. *add more vitamin rich food to your diet. *avoid stress and anger. *cut down the use of hair spray, hair gel. *take a sound sleep. *avoid too much exposure of your hair to sunlight. *avoid hot hair styling tools, as they damage hair and cause split ends. *it is best not to comb the hair while it is wet as this leads to greater chances of hair breakage.

What are the preferred medications should be taken if a person is known to be in the early stages of migraine? Please help me.

General Physician, Nashik
Here are some tips to prevent a migraine attack, drugs are not essential in early stages: 1. Identify and avoid migraine triggers. You can keep track of your headache patterns and identify headache triggers by using a headache diary. 2. Recall what was eaten prior to an attack to help you identify chemical triggers. 3. Manage stress to prevent or reduce the severity of the migraine attacks. 4. Follow a regular daily routine and get adequate rest. 5. Exercise (in moderation) regularly.

I am 22 old male I am suffering from heart muscle pain in some times this disease already occurred in 2014. In all tests was performed no problem in heart. Repeat the problem please help me and anxiety and gastric problem causes the heart muscle pain. No shortness of breath (pain with in seconds and relief) this is threat the life or not?

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
You are right that acidity can be confused with heart pain. Good to know that all tests related to heart are normal but anxiety of heart disease is bothering you. Why not. Even doctors are teaching people to bring in modifications in lifestyle and reducing stress and anxiety is one of the changes plus good food habits so that you don't suffer from acidity. You have to remind yourself everyday that there should be no heart related stress and you are lucky to have normal reports.

Dear sir, I have a problem with my oily skin and plenty of pimples and marks left due to this pimples please suggest me to get rid of this to reduce oil and black and white heads,

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Homoeopathic medicine NATRUM MUR 6X ( Dr Reckeweg) Chew 4 tabs 3 time daily Apply Cucumber daily in evenings for 1 hour Apply Lime juice daily morning on face for 15 minutes Baking Soda Take some baking soda. Mix some water with the baking soda and apply this mixture on the pimple marks. Baking soda serves as an agent that carries out micro dermabrasion on the skin and helps to clear the pimple marks on the face and body. Tomatoes Tomatoes are rich in Vitamin A, which helps nourish the dead skin while rejuvenating it. Vitamin A helps by healing the skin and by helping facilitate quick growth of the skin while removing the scars. Using tomatoes to help heal the scars on the skin is not a lengthy process, but it is rather simple. Just take a tomato, slice it and make it into a pulp. Apply the pulp on the face and leave it on for twenty minutes’ time. Then, wash it off with some warm water. You could also mix cucumbers with it. Make a paste out of all of cucumbers and tomatoes and apply as a face mask. Leave it on for half an hour and wash it with some cool water. Follow this method two days at a time every week and observe the results.

I have losedva lot of hair. I have tried natural medicines for it. But the hair lose is still continuing. Can suggest a method to solve it?

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, M.Ch - Plastic Surgery
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Visakhapatnam
Dear, shampoos and oils do not make much change because, they hardly penetrate layers of skin, where roots (live part of hair) are present. Instead concentrate on food, if all other factors are fine. -protein rich diet, dry fruits-almonds, dates.

Flossing is as important as brushing on a daily basis. Taking the floss all the way down to the point where the teeth and gums meet is the appropriate way of doing it.
