I am an boxer and I have restarted the training after a year so I wanted to increase my strength and stamina and one of my friend suggested me himalaya gokshura tablets and I want to know that is it ok to take tablets and I feel a lot of pain in my shin bone area is it due to use of that tablets. I am taking daily two tablets since a week.

Hello lybrate-user, first of all you need to increase your total calories intake and include one physical activity. Please avoid junk food as it is observed that this kind of food is nutrient deficient and can be the reason of not gaining weight. So try to eat home-cooked food increase the portion size in every meal, take fruit juices, take mango or banana milk shake specially after doing exercise. There is no need to over-consume water.. There is no rule to take 4 liters. Take as per Your need. and as per the weather. Usually one glass of water per hour is fine. When you work out you may need more. Let your body guide your water consumption. Avoid drinking water before meals since your are trying to gain weight. To gain some weight, you need to eat healthy. 1. Have lot of fruits and fruit juices. 2. Take sprouts daily. 3. Eat lot of nuts like almonds, cashew, peanuts. 4. Drink full cream milk, curd, cheese, paneer. 5. If your are non veg you can have more eggs, chicken. 6. Dals have good protein. Have more rajma, kabuli chana, soya beans etc. 7. Avoid junk food and colas. Avoid chips and other namkeen. Currently you are not severely underweight so just focus on being fit and active. You will be fine.
