Hi lybrate-user, you sure are not Hiv positive, yes you have developed obsessive thoughts and you can get rid of this through cognitive behavioral therapy for which you will have to consult a psychologist. On screening if there is a need you will be directed for medication too. To begin with practice mindfulness breathing - The primary goal of mindful breathing is simply a calm, nonjudging awareness, allowing thoughts and feelings to come and go without getting caught up in them. Sit comfortably, with your eyes closed and your spine reasonably straight. Bring your attention to your breathing. Imagine that you have a balloon in your tummy. Every time you breathe in, the balloon inflates. Each time you breathe out, the balloon deflates. Notice the sensations in your abdomen as the balloon inflates and deflates. Your abdomen rising with the in-breath, and falling with the out-breath. Thoughts will come into your mind, and that’s okay, because that’s just what the human mind does. Simply notice those thoughts, then bring your attention back to your breathing. Likewise, you can notice sounds, physical feelings, and emotions, and again, just bring your attention back to your breathing. You don’t have to follow those thoughts or feelings, don’t judge yourself for having them, or analyse them in any way. It’s okay for the thoughts to be there. Just notice those thoughts, and let them drift on by, bringing your attention back to your breathing. Whenever you notice that your attention has drifted off and is becoming caught up in thoughts or feelings, simply note that the attention has drifted, and then gently bring the attention back to your breathing. It's okay and natural for thoughts to enter into your awareness, and for your attention to follow them. No matter how many times this happens, just keep bringing your attention back to your breathing. Do it wheneve you get these negative thoughts. You can consult with me for psychotherapy CBT. All the best. RELAX.

acne some times happen due to some hormonal changes, but usually these are temporary. Still there are some specific acne relieving creams etc which can be considered. As regards the skin looking dull, if hypothyroidism is not in control, skin does look dry and dull. On treatment tsh levels should be between 3 to 4 milli units/ml. If this is achieved skin should look normal.

Soothe Your Joint and Spine Pain with Ayurvedic Panchakarma

Ask Free Question
Panchakarma is an ayurvedic technique which is used to detoxify the body, boost the immune system and restore the balance in the body. Due to lack of exercise and a poor diet, the waste material generated by the body is not effectively discharged. This causes accumulation of toxins in the body that can result in diseases.

Panchakarma can be used to treat and heal the pain in the joints and the spine. There are specific treatments in panchakarma that targets these regions, they are:

1. Abhyanga - Abhyanga is a technique where warm oil is used to cover the entire body. The oil is then gently massaged so that it can penetrate the underlying tissues. It is used to lubricate the joints, muscle toning and to increase blood supply around nerve endings.

2. Pindasweda - In this technique hot cotton bags consisting of herbs, rice, and sand or medical powder are used to massage the body. This rejuvenating therapy induces perspiration in the body by which the herbs and the heat penetrates into the body. It is used to treat problems of the joints such as gout, arthritis, and sciatica.

3. Upanaha - A combination of herbal medicine is applied to the affected part and then covered with medicinal leaves. The herbs help in easing the muscles and tendons of the affected part. It relieves pain, reduces swellings and improves mobility in the joint.

4. Kati vista - In this treatment, medicated oil is pooled into a collar made from dough and then placed on the lower back for a specific amount of time. It strengthens the lower back, lubricates the spine and acts as a muscle pain reliever.

I am loosing hair quickly and little bit pain in my head and dandruff also in my head tell me what should I do?
Hello, there can be many reasons behind it like *physical or emotional stress, inadequate protein intake, genetics, anemia, aging, hormonal changes, prolonged illness, deficiency of vitamin b6 and folic acid, thyroid diseases. *hair fall can also result when one indulges in too much dying, blow drying or use of hot curlers. *dandruff can also be great cause behind hair fall. Take homoeopathic medicines 1. Nat mur 30 (4 drops in little water) every morning empty stomach only one dose in a day for 15 days. 2. Jobarandi q (10 drops in little water) twice a day for 15 days and update. Apply jobarandi hair oil. *make a habit of 8-10 glasses of water daily. *eat healthy and balanced food like pulses, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and nuts etc. *eggs as it is loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amount. *add more vitamin rich food to your diet. *avoid stress and anger. *cut down the use of hair spray, hair gel. *take a sound sleep. *avoid too much exposure of your hair to sunlight. *avoid hot hair styling tools, as they damage hair and cause split ends. *it is best not to comb the hair while it is wet as this leads to greater chances of hair breakage.

Stress is one of the major causes of most of the physical problems and pains. 1. Stop worrying about not being able to understand topic. 2. Seek help for understanding theoretical topics from experts in the field. 3. Have a lot of water throughout the day - to help keep your mind fresh and alert. 4. Instead of devoting too much time on a topic that you can't understand, move on to the next topic - something that you can do on your own - this will help you feel more confident, and when you come back to this topic with a relaxed mind, you will be able to do it in less time.

The principal symptoms of dengue are: -high fever and at least two of the following: -severe headache -severe eye pain (behind eyes) -joint pain -muscle and/or bone pain -rash -mild bleeding manifestation (nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising) Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Hello, I understand that having a baby is very important for you and somewhere in your mind, probably your time clock is ticking away saying that you are getting older now and may not have a baby. And you are so keen to have a baby of your own? this thought alone might be a cause for more anxiety, sense of loss, sadness and anger with yourself. However, I would like to bring to your notice that overthinking about this or anything else will only bring emotional imbalance leading to more bp fluctuations. Our mind and body are connected and any mental and emotional imbalance causes an imbalance in the body. 1. Please exercise everyday within your capacity to burn off the excess calories and fat intake. Exercising will also help in uplifting your mood and improve your self image and give you a sense of control over your body. 2. Eat only healthy food limiting oil, sugars, processed and refined foods to the bare minimum. Raw and whole food diet having more of fruits, vegetables, whole grains is known to control and reduce rising bp. Add a source of good fats like walnuts, nuts and oil seeds to improve your heart functioning. Cut out meats and unhealthy cooking styles and choose steaming, stir frying over boiling and frying. 3. Yoga, meditation etc to control your anxiety and calm down the mind to help become emotionally stable and peaceful. This will also keep your bp stable. Bhramri and anulom vilom are especially 2 pranayamas very helpful in bringing emotional balance. 4. Counselling to help you learn tips and techniques to manage stressful events without losing your mental and emotional equilibrium. You will be able to cope with stress and learn to manage stress and tension with ease. 5. Only when you are healthy, will your baby be healthy. It will need a lot of attention and care when it arrives. What kind of life do you want to give your child? please consider the chances of you not feeling fit enough to take care of the baby keeping your health in mind. 6. Consider other options of having a child: would you rather consider adopting a baby over putting your body through this stress. Or would you like to volunteer your time in a childrens playhome or shelters where abandoned children are taken care of? there are number of ways that you can still meet your need to bring up a child and feel worthwhile and fulfilled. Please consider your options and their pros and cons before rushing in to any decision. Take care.

Tips to Deal With Ocd

OCD or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is an anxiety disorder, which can be indicated through obsession, having pervasive thoughts or thoughts, which may upset you, having certain compulsions, and practicing certain rituals, which may help to control or manage your obsessions. It is a disorder, which cannot be cured, but can be controlled with the help of treatment. Mostly, OCD is considered to be a lifelong disorder. It often circulates around the fear of germs or sickness and around keeping order and maintaining patterns. A person suffering from OCD can often be extremely annoying. Hence here are a few tips you can use to deal with OCD:

1. Understand OCD: The first step towards dealing with OCD is to know what you have to deal with. Gather as much information as you can about OCD and also read up about how you can overcome it. You need to know the symptoms of OCD so you can identify the disorder. Almost everyone suffers from OCD at one point of their lives. Hence, it is extremely important to understand OCD in order to treat it.

2. Work with your compulsions: Do not get petrified about your compulsions if you are planning to overcome your OCD, instead work with them. Try not to encourage their development. If you are worrying about whether you have switched of the lights, try and develop a mental picture of you doing it. If you are able to get a clear picture, then you have, otherwise you can go and switch it off. Another option is to maintain a list where you tick off the activity once you have done it so that you don't have to worry about it later on.

3. Maintain a journal: Maintaining a journal will help you curb your fears and negative thoughts. Write down all your obsessive thought and reflect on how they are affecting you and whether they are worth your worry or time. Gradually you will see that you are able to control these thoughts and will be able to push away any negativity which comes along with them.

4. Remind yourself about the good in you: Make this your regular practice. Do not undermine yourself, instead make yourself feel good. This will help you to get over the fact that you have done something wrong in your daily activities (like not turning the gas off when you actually have) and that wrong is going to harm people.

Chronic OCD will require therapy and medical assistance. Hence if you are able to detect the signs at an early level and are able to adopt the above measures to control it, then going to a doctor might not be necessary.
