I am getting to much of a masturbation these days like daily and I do not if that is right or wrong? Can someone tell...
Twice per week is good. Some of the after- effects of masturbation are: a. The nervous system is affected the most. B. Besides the heart, the digestive system, the urinary system as well as the other systems are adversely affected and consequently the whole body becomes the museum of diseases with profound weakness. C. The eyes become sunken, the cheek bones protrude and there is a black rim round the eyes. D. Continuous headache and backache. E. Dizziness and loss of memory. F. Palpitation of heart on lightest exertion. G. Nervousness. H. Unable to perform any heavy physical or mental work. I. The person dislikes any company and activities and rather likes to sit in seclusion and suffers from weakness. J. All the senses are impaired. K. Vision becomes dim, the tongue begins to stammer and ears tend to become deaf etc. L. Lastly t. B. Or insanity or some other serious disease catch hold of the victim to lead his life to a close. M. Impotency/ erectile dysfunction / premature ejaculation, reduced penis size, hardness etc therefore, young men are advised to consult a qualified and honest homoeopathic practitioner for his expert advice and effective treatment instead of wasting his money with quacks. Further, those young men who are or have been engaged in the regular habits of masturbation should not ignore the necessity to consult the qualified homoeopaths to avoid sexual embarrassment at the time of marriage. Homoeopathic treatment for taking away the habit of masturbation and removing its bad effects.

Shoulder Pain In Elderly

Orthopedist, Delhi

Hello friends,

I am Dr Akhilesh Rathi I am practicing Orthopaedic and Orthoscopic surgeon in Dwarka.

Today I will be discussing about shoulder pain in the elderly, shoulder pain has been a very common problem and you must have heard that term frozen shoulder, heard similar kind of terms in your relatives or elderly people. So, these days very effective treatment for these kind of pain are available and because these diseases can be very debilitating. People are there who are unable to lift their arms to the routine course, so in these patients there are lot of treatment options are available if timely manage they can be done even in the non surgical way. So to start with the first and foremost treatment for most shoulder problems like the rotator cuff tendinosis and rotator cuff tear most patients can we manage with simple stretching exercises, range of motion exercises, shoulder strengthening exercises and some physiotherapy. So these patients recover well and they are able to manage their pain and regulate their routine with these exercises. Apart from these around 10 to 20% of the patients who do not improve with these exercises and are suffering from bigger tears or bigger problems, in these patients there highly advanced treatments are available nowadays. What we call as shoulder arthroscopy, arthroscopy means like you have must heard about laparoscopy where surgery is done in the abdomen through small portals. Nowadays, we can do surgery in the shoulder through small tiny incisions, 3 to 4 incisions and repair all the damage muscle in there. So even in those patients who are unable to lift their arm or move there arm or shoulder is stiff despite the physio, despite the exercises in those patients we can make it better. We can even think about having almost 100% normal kind of lifestyle. So I would like to restress is whenever you are having any shoulder pain, any stiff shoulder and it is not improving after 4 to 6 weeks then please do get it checked by an orthopaedician near you and most likely it will manage with physiotherapy and exercise and if it doesn't improve with physio, exercises I think you might need injection the shoulder or maybe orthoscopic surgery which can make it normal and which can repair the damaged muscle. Because if you delay too much, there are chances the damage muscle may retract and it may not be fixable even with the orthoscopy anymore. So the timing of your visit to your doctor is important, don't delay, don't ignore your shoulder pain, don't ignore your stiff shoulder. So because if you ignore it then you won't be able to operate and fix it arthroscopically, in those cases in which we done lake, the muscle has already retracted or is unrepairable then we need to replace the joint. So the best option is get yourself timing check, if your shoulder pain is not going in 4 or 6 weeks think about visiting your doctor and get it fixed and thank you all for listening to me patiently.

You can take my appointment online through Lybrate or any other online portal. I am available in sector 7 Dwarka, I have a clinic by the name of Rathi Orthopaedic and Spine Clinic.

Thank you so much.

Cochlear Implant - Who Should Actually Go For It?

DNB (ENT), MBBS, MNAMS - Otorhinolaryngology
ENT Specialist, Gurgaon
Cochlear Implant - Who Should Actually Go For It?

Traditionally, people resort to hearing aids in order to take care of their auditory problems. The perception of hearing reduces as age progresses and people find it absolutely necessary to come up with ways by which they can improve their hearing. However, cochlear implants have become extremely popular because of the method that it uses in comparison to the traditional methods of hearing aids.

What is a cochlear implant?

A cochlear implant is an electronic medical device that replaces the function of the damaged inner ear. Unlike hearing aids, which make sounds louder, cochlear implants bypass the damaged hair cells of the inner ear (cochlea) to send signals to Auditory nerve. Cochlear implant bypass the damaged hair cells in cochlea & send signals to Auditory nerve.

Who can they help?

The cochlear implant technology can help people who:

  1. have moderate to profound hearing loss in both ears
  2. receive little or no benefit from hearing aids
  3. score 50% or less on sentence recognition tests done by hearing professionals in the ear to be implanted
  4. score 60% or less on sentence recognition tests done by hearing professionals in the non-implanted ear or in both ears with hearing aids.

Many people have cochlear devices in both ears (bilateral). Listening with two ears can improve your ability to identify the direction of sound and separate the sounds you want to hear from those you don’t.

What are the benefits of a cochlear implant?

Many adults with cochlear implants report that they:

  • Hear better with a cochlear implant than with a hearing aid
  • A previous study has shown that people with a cochlear implant achieve an average of 80% sentence understanding, compared with 10% sentence understanding for hearing aids1.
  • Can focus better when in noisy environments.
  • Find it easier to have conversations with people across meeting tables, in restaurants and other crowded places.
  • Reconnect with missed sounds that they could not hear before their cochlear implant.
  • Feel safer in the world as they can hear alarms, people calling out and approaching vehicles.
  • Talk and hear on the phone.
  • Enjoy music.

??How is a cochlear implant different from a hearing aid?

A cochlear implant is very different from a hearing aid and is appropriate for individuals for whom hearing aids fail to provide benefit. A hearing aid makes sounds louder. Sound still travels through all the portions of the ear (outer ear, middle ear, inner ear) to the hearing nerve. A cochlear implant bypasses these structures and directly stimulates the hearing nerve with electrical energy. Because hearing aids amplify sounds and rely on the hearing system to convey the message, people with severe to profound hearing loss may be able to hear, but not understand speech well. The main objective of a cochlear implant is to improve speech understanding in quiet. Clarity with a cochlear implant is usually better than a hearing aid because the implant does not make sounds louder but delivers them to the hearing nerve.

There are a number of symptoms, which people should be looking out for before concluding that they have a hearing disorder:

  1. Inability to hear properly
  2. Excessive ear pain and stress on the brain
  3. Failure to communicate properly
  4. Discomfort in the mouth or nose
  5. Other feelings of anxiety or stress that may actually be a consequence of the hearing loss problem

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

It all depends on your motivation and never give up attitude. No you will lose weight needed you change your thinking and attitude towards permanent natural weight loss. The major hurdle is self sympathy while following diet that we r cursing our body, feeling missing out on certain foods, etc. We should just feel that we are gifting ourselves good health and good looks. Look at you after that, a happier you. You should take a metabolism boosting diet. Which includes lot of therapeutic foods like wheat grass, lemon grass, ginseng root extracts, cinnamon extracts etc. Take Personalised diet consultation for best results and guidance.

Hello sir I am 18 year old boy I am masturbating since I was 12 year. Does it affect my future life. As I masturbate ...
Masturbation is a common alternative that males of your age resort to. There is no medical evidence that masturbation causes any harm to your future physical or sexual life. Masturbation causes physical tiredness for sometime followed by muscle relaxation and sleep, masturbation necessarily may not induce sleep always.
