Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

I am 50 years old. Once I jumped from a height and my leg's sole got hit by an elevation. I tried everything from painkillers to other medicines but there is no effect. Even there was nothing found in the x-ray. The leg still pains even after 2 years. Please suggest what to do?

Give acupressure with a pencil on blunt edge between the mid portion of the ankle bone and the tendons on either side of the leg. Repeat on the other leg also. Massage both foot with eculiptus oil report after 5 days.

1. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. 2. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. 3. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. 4. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. 5. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it doe s not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.

Right now am 22 years of age. 2 years back I had a ligament injury in my left knee while playing football. I have stopped putting any kind of pressure on the knee after that as I fell pains of sliding ligaments in case of sudden jerks. But feel no pain in normal walking. Hello lybrate user, - 1st thing is to avoid such activities which increase the chances of recurrence of the issue - ayurveda panchakarma treatment may help you to strengthen your ligaments and joints - apply ksheerabala taila daily twice and give hot fomentation - take jaanu basti an ayurveda panchakarma treatment for 16 days to feel better. - take ashtiposhak tablets 2-0-2 for 1 month thank you.

It's worry some to have knee pain in your age. Most common cause is either ligament injury or meniscus tear. There are chances of neoplasm as well. Get x Rays of your knee. Diagnosis has to be confirmed before any treatment can be advised.

My mother has been suffering from chikungunya for 2 weeks. Her age is 45 and has weight of 70 kg. She has swallowed legs, joint pains in her legs and hands. We have consult a doctor at safdurjung hospital. They have advised to give her a lot of fluid items and paracetamol tab. But I have recently read in newspaper about unani medicine for chikungunya which has been given at ram manohar lohiya hospital. Dear lybrate-user, namaskar, The treatment advised by Dr. S of safdarjung hosp. Is correct and scientific and evidence based. So stick to that regimen. The disease has it's natural history and takes it's own course to settle. So better have patience and faith on your doctor. Take care.

Try to take rest for 1-2 hours in day. Distract yourself from mobile/ tv/ computer or anything that puts a pressure on your eyes and head. For joint apply omni gel. Keep yourself stress free. Try to take adequate sleep. Take tablet paracetamol 500mg after taking food. Do tests cbc. Blood sugar. Share with me your symptoms in detail including status of your blood pressure, I can prepare an advice accordingly. Do yoga/meditation has a great relaxation power.

Calf stretches standing calf stretch stand away from a wall and put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day.

Everyday Back Pain Causes.

It's worth knowing that you will eventually complain of back ache if you are not already whining.

It is primarily because most of us indulge in some everyday activities that are detrimental to our spine health. The good news here is that these reasons can be easily fixed. All you need is some spine tuning. Here's how:

Desk job
Are you sitting too much on your seat? Recent studies have suggested that sitting for longer hours makes you prone to various illnesses. So it is highly recommended that you stand and walk a bit every two hours or so and also engage in some static stretching exercises. If not, take a 30 minutes stroll after your lunch time.

Sleeping on your stomach
Do you have a habit of snoozing on your tummy? It's a clear give away for your back problems as it puts unnecessary pressure on your spine. When you sleep on your side or back, your spine is elongated and neutral. Also, don't use a thick pillow. The perfect-sized pillow should keep your head in line with the spine. This is not it. Your mattress should not be too hard or soft.

Not exercising your core
According to yogacharya, Shelly Khera, a strong core helps us stand difficult situations both physically and mentally. It is where all our energies are housed. And even fitness instructors in the gym have caught fancy to the word 'core, but for all the right reasons - core exercises strengthen your spine.

High heels, bulky bags
Some fashion choices that you make may be harming your back, especially high heels and heavy bags. Not only women, there are men who carry heavy laptop bags on one shoulder, which is a major cause of health issues. What's the fix? If you stand and walk a lot, do not wear heels above 2 inches and the handbag should be less than 10 pounds.

this back pain is due to no back exercise.... due to this muscle get stiff .... when suddenly you get move fast that time this stiff muscle get break and pain start..... in ayurved there is mentioned one procedure KATI BASTI ....DO THIS FOR FIVE DAYS WITH MEDICATED OIL if you want to do it you should do it under doctor observation .... so consult ayurvedic doctor near you ... you will definitely get good result ..
