As you feel pain in knees, follow these usefultips for pain relief: * first check out bone mineral density (bmd). In case of low bmd, your calcium level in body are low. So take take calcium rich diet daily. Take a glass (300 ml) of full cream milk daily or 100 gm of cheese or 1-2 eggs regularly. * give a gentle oil massage to knees regularly and wrap your knees with cloth dipped in hot water for atleast 10-15 minutes. * wear knee cap or wrap crape bandage during walk for knee support. * sit atleast for 5-8 minutes in sunlight in morning or evening for vitamind. *avoid heal shoe and wear only flat shoes for balanced load on knees. * check out your blood sugar level and hemoglobin level in every 6 months. * if you have any history of rheumatoid arthritis in family then checkout your ra factor. * take guggalu tablets if himalaya one tablet daily for atleast 3 months. * take a piece of garlic, crush it and boil it a glass of milk and drink daily for fast pain relief.

1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep.....massage your hair with good ayurvedic oil like bhring ranj oil.....sprinkle water in eyes.....take sarpgandha vati twice a day 1-1 tab...pranacharya no tens capsule twice a day with warm water.....avoid tea...coffee....junk food...oily food....fermented food....stress...eat green vegetables....drink fruits juices...and 7-8 glass of water.....do pranayama early in the morning....walk for minimum 30 minutes in a day....

In such a young age backache is showing poor lifestyle, poor diet or may be due to injury. Try to rule out the cause. Panchkarma kati vasti is good option for good relif.

Hi thanks for your query. This kind of pain is usually due to inflammation of your heel fascia. It is chronic pain which get aggravated especially when you walk more and is better with rest. Treatment modalities are aimed at relieving inflammation of the fascia, like ice packs, physical therapy, footwear modification and anti-inflammatory therapy. Back pain may be due to strain, sprain, weather change etc. *Avoid bending forward while working on lap top or for any other work. *Don’t sit continuously working on laptop etc. Get up periodically and move around. *Restrict bike driving as far as possible. *Don’t carry laptop or any load on your shoulder. Carrying very light loads equally with both hands is better *Sit straight so that back bone gets proper support. A dining chair is better than a laid back sofa. *You can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *Soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *Get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take Rhus tox 200--once daily in the morning for 6 days.

: L3, 4, 5 and S1 intervertebral discs are degenerated and L4-5 shows posterolateral forminal disc protrusion which has compromised lateral neural canal. Prolonged sitting and jerky rides do not suit me. What should I do to get back my normal life and resume work. Is riding a bicycle good for me. I don't know swimming. Pls advise. Thanks.

If it is long standing vaginal discharge I would suggest she sees a Gynaecologist for examination and vaginal swabs. Treatment can then be tailored accordingly. Also I would advice she increases her water intake and has multivitamin supplements.

This is inadequate information rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Physiotherapy usually helps any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days you will need other supportive medicines also. It may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Kindly do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Disc problems can be relieved by epidural injections mostly and total compression surgical intervention is the treatment of choice and we have to see MRI.

I have pain in my neck from some days. so, what to do?

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It may have to be further investigated. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then inform again.

I had undergone endoscopy two years back and i am having backpain after that. What is the remedy for that?

Thank You for writing in regards to your concern. It's less commonly known to have low back pain post endoscopy. Kindly get an assessment done by a Physiotherapist to assess and inform you if the low back pain is of musculoskeletal origin or not or get an opinion from either Gastro-enterology / Nephrology consultant. Have vit d & calcium levels checkup Avoid sitting on floor crossed leg & squatting position, even try not to climb stairs frequently Do knee isometrics- lie down & keep towel roll under your knee & press it, hold for 5sec then relax, 20 repetitions each knee, twice daily Straight leg raising- raise your leg hold for 5sec then relax, 10 repetitions each leg, twice daily Sit on high surface with your legs hanging on the side, have about 500grams weight tied to your ankle, then move your leg up hold position for 3sec then relax, 10 repetitions each twice daily. Make sure your back should be straight, it should not move backwards or sideways.

Hi The neck pain could be due to spondylitis or due to weak muscles as you have said. It is better to take second opinion from another doctor. If it is still due to muscles only then it could be due to excessive computer / laptop use. Please check out on the net how to sit properly in front of computer. Also you can do Yoga exercises for reducing the neck pains. There are lots of them on Youtube.

1) do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min. Afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) start natural calcium supplement. 3) do regular stretching exercise 4) in yoga do bhujangasan, halasan & suryanamaskar. Life-style correction 1) correct your sitting posture. 2) take small pillow or back rest for lower back. 3) foot should rest to floor easily. 4) take small break after 1 hr & walk few steps. 5) do neck & upper back extension, give feedback after 4 days.
