Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

LOW BACK PAIN AND HOMOEOPATHY

BHMS
Homeopath, Sindhudurg
LOW BACK PAIN AND HOMOEOPATHY
Long term use of painkillers for low back pain is harmful

When it comes to treating low back pain, there is too much reliance on painkillers in the allopathic system of medicine. The effect of these is only temporary and lasts for a few hours. Once the effect wears off, you have to take another painkiller. Prolonged use of painkillers is known to cause detrimental effect on the kidneys.

Homeopathic treatment for low back pain

When it comes to the medicinal treatment, homeopathic medicines are very helpful. They not only treat the acute stages but are also very helpful in the chronic stage of back pain. It must be said here that homeopathy offers a much better alternative for the permanent cure for low back pain. The focus of the homeopath is not just to relieve the immediate pain but to also eliminate the root cause of the pain. That is precsely why the homeopath asks so many questions which may or may not seem related to your immediate problem. A common cause that is easily overlooked is the presence of stress in an individual. Mental stress can also contribute to low back pain and should be taken into account while taking the details of the patient. This is absolutely necessary if you want a lasting cure. In my practice, I have treated hundreds of cases of low back pain.

I am getting leg pain from 3 days? What may be the reason? And suggest some medicines?

I am getting leg pain from 3 days? What may be the reason? And suggest some medicines?
Although you have provided a limited information regarding your leg pain in your age but I will try to figure out few important reasons for leg pains ------------------------- 1. As you have not mentioned your weight, so overweight can be a major reason for your leg pain as legs pains in overweights can be a referred pain from your back------------------------ 2. Muscular cramps due to many reasons and the major one is dehydration due to drinking less water during the day-------- 3. Leg bone pains due to exhaustion due to vitamin-d deficiency----- 4. Legs pain can also be due to general weakness or any medical condition that you are suffering from------------------------- so satty, simply by asking for leg pain will not solve your problem but it can be solved by identifying the exact reason and working accordingly--------- although I will prescribe you few homoeopathic medicines which will help you relieving your pains but again, a history of your complaints will solve your problem permanently---------------------- homoeopathic medicine--------------------------- rhus tox 30 (dr reckeweg) drink 5 drops direct on tongue 3 times daily.-------------- vitamin-d plus (bakson) chew 1 tab daily---------------- drink 2 glass milk daily--------------- go for blood vitamin-d test---------------------

Hello, I have serious backpain issue and I feel uncomfortable with straight sitting postures.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, I have serious backpain issue and I feel uncomfortable with straight sitting postures.
Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight, avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Lie down on bed on your back without pillow. Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

I am 24 years old male. And I have leg ache from last one year. What should I do?
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.
