Dear anoop ulcer is a painful condition .before treatment you must know the reason of the disease and than treatment can proceed . Avoid eating spicy, oily foods and hot beverages. Include fresh fruits containing vitamin C and raw vegetables as part of your diet. Avoid eating candy, chewing gum and aerated drinks. Avoid eating hard foods, Include fresh yogurt, buttermilk, cottage cheese and other dairy products in your diet. Maintain good oral hygiene. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush when brushing your teeth. gargle your mouth alternating with hot and chilled water or apply ice on the part where you have the ulcer. That will reduce the swelling. Chew a few basil or tulsi leaves along with some water for about three to four times every day. This will help the ulcers go away faster. Apply little honey onto the mouth ulcer or mix in a little turmeric to make a paste that can be applied to the affected area. Honey helps to retain moisture and prevent dehydration. It also helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. Reduce your stress levels by doing an activity that you find relaxing, such as yoga, meditation or exercise. Use a saline rinse Mix a teaspoon or two of salt with a warm glass of water. You can also substitute salt with a pinch of baking soda. Hold the saline solution in your mouth, and swish from side to side. Gargle and spit the solution into the sink. Repeat a few times a day. It's a good idea to do it again after meals and before you go to bed. apply glycerine on ulcers and use ointment benzocaine in case of pain .

Clean the surface of your tongue daily. By using a professional tongue cleaner you remove countless bacteria that otherwise live, particularly on the rougher top surface of your tongue. These can contribute to bad breath and negatively affect your dental health.

I have mouth ulcers very often they hurt badly but if one goes away then the second comes as soon as possible and they all hurt and right now I have 3 mouth ulcers and 4th one is coming I'm afraid if I have a mouth cancer or not. Is it true that I have mouth cancer or it's something else? Please help me.

MDS
Dentist, Kolkata
No there is no need to worry,,mouth ulcers are not cancers,,but if they are caused due to factors like sharp edges of teeth etc, then get checkup done by dentist and ask him to grind the edges.

Scaling or professional cleaning of teeth and gums is a very important procedure which should be done at least once a year. It keeps gum healthy and teeth strong. IT DOES NOT WEAKEN YOUR TEETH.

As you have got your tooth removed, you should go for replacement. Depending on the clinical condition, doctor would advise you best replacement option. If you are not going for replacement you might damage adjacent teeth slowly. This will ultimately affect your chewing efficiency

This is due to fibrosis of your cheek muscle. Stop eating pan masala as it also contains beetle nut (supari) which is the main reasons for this. Start taking vitamin supplements with lycopene n increase your intake of raw fruit and veggies. There are some mouth opening exercises, you can do. If the condition persist, visit your dentist for further treatment.
