Hi lybrate-user. There are lot of causes fir delayed periods. If you are sexually active get the urine pregnancy test again. If not or you are not sexually active then wait for one more week. Stress is the most common factor causing it. Second is pcod which is a lifestyle disorder. You need to take medication for withdrawal bleeding and consult your doctor for further information.

6 Mistakes in Self-Treating Acne

Acne is a very common problem that affects people, mostly teenagers worldwide. The problem of acne can be extremely annoying, making most of the people to opt for self medication. However, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist to avoid unwanted complications. The following common but serious mistakes should be avoided while self-treating acne:

1. Fight acne the dermatologist way: During adolescence, hormonal imbalance is one of the major factors resulting in acne. However, factors like prolonged illness, pollution, dermatological problems cannot be sidelined either. It should be noted that acne is an inflammation which needs proper investigation. A dermatologist should be consulted at the very onset. Use of any medicated lotions or creams without proper recommendation can aggravate the problem.

2. The lesser the better: Using too many products at a time will do you more harm than good. Use one product at a time. If you think a product can magically treat your acne in a day, then you are in for some disappointment. Optimism is good, but being realistic is better. Not all products show positive results in a day. One needs to have patience. Use the product diligently for a week before trying out a new product.

3. Complete what you started: It is a crime to stop any medications mid way. Complete the full course of the medication, even if your acne is fully treated.

4. Popping away to ugly spots and scars: Popping or picking only worsens the inflammation and acne. It will leave your face with some really ugly spots. When the acne head turns white, do not try to squeeze it out. Show some resilience. It is a very common mistake that should be strictly avoided.

5. Exfoliants should be chosen carefully. Understand your skin type well. Micro-beads-enriched exfoliants are the best to use. Avoid scrubbing or over washing the face. Always use a sunscreen before stepping out in the sun. If you are into make-ups, remove them before retiring to bed. Use make-ups that suit your skin type. Minimal application of make-up is advisable in case of acne.

6. Many well wishers might suggest innumerable acne treatments. Listen to all, but choose what you feel and know is the best.

A flawless and acne-free face is very much achievable.

Bhramari Pranayam (bee breath): 1. Close your eyes. Focus on your breathing. 2. Place both your thumb on your ears, your index fingers above your eyebrows, and your remaining along the sides of your nose. Keep each pinky finger near a nostril. 3. Breath in deeply through the nose. First, feel the diaphragm moving down, allowing the lungs to expand and forcing the abdomen out; then feel your chest expand with your collar bones rising last. 4. Use your pinkies to partially close each nostril. Keep your lungs filled. 5. Breathe out through the nose while humming. Note that the humming sound should originate in your throat, not as a result of your partially-blocked nostrils. 6. Repeat 3 times.

I suppose you are talking about delhi, the most polluted city and no rainfall this year. Temp. Is still 35-39 degrees and air is dry. Cooler can be used. One can use muslin/malmal dupattas/dhoties and wet them, spread them in a corner of room-works better than a humidifier available.

My weight has gained for the past one year, 8 kg increased in 1.5 years. Stomach also increased, but no stomach pain.

Hello, Regular exercise, walking, jogging, running Eat a minimum of 3-4 cups of fresh vegetables daily. Cut out sugar from your diet completely. This means saying good bye to soft drinks, chocolates, ice-creams, jams, sauces and sugar-laden pastries. Eat whole-wheat bread instead of white read. Cutting out white bread means cutting out everything made from white flour. Be it pizza, pasta, pastries or naan. Make whole wheat bread, chapattis and brown rice a way of life. Snack on whole wheat crackers or bran biscuits instead of biscuits made from refined flour. Eat at least three meals a day. Do not skip a meal. Switch to soya milk instead of whole milk. Drink plenty of water as it eliminates the toxins and keep the system clear. If you are a non-vegetarian, eat a lot of fish. Limit your fat intake to 2-3 teaspoon a day. Eat 2-3 fruits a day.

Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one cup of water. If you use freshly ground black pepper, then just add one-quarter teaspoon. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. Do this daily for at least three months.

Maintain personal hygiene (wash hands with soap before eating, always carry a hand sanitizer, take regular bath) 4. Have lots of fruits & vegetables (5 servings) as these are rich source of antioxidants that help fight against diseases. 5. Dear lybrate user, take a tablet of pan-40 every morning 30 minutes before breakfast. 2tsf of syp. Mucaine- gel 3-4 times a day and tablet of meftas spas whenever pain is severe. Avoid spicy and junk food. Take medicine for 2-3 weeks.

I am 40 years old and having migraine since 30 years . Nowadays my sensitivity towards migraine has become more, I am experiencing extreme giddiness, like in fainting, while in sleeping posture. I fell in the bathroom and lost consciousness suddenly during a migraine attack once. My husband brought me outside and he observed that I was neither speaking or was responding to his speech. He said that all I did was kept staring. Then I became normal after 5 minutes and did not remember anything which happened after I lost my consciousness. And recently after a headache I came across a very unusual and very new kind of experience while asleep. I was sleeping and suddenly one side of my whole body became numb. I could not speak anything nor could I move any part of my body and could do nothing to call for help. This condition lasted for 10 to 15 seconds of time. Then it became normal and I fell asleep. It was normal after I woke up also but the migraine headache persisted.

A few patients have enquired about the 1st line of drug for Type 2 diabetes. Most important symptom of pregnancy is missed period. There r other symptoms but all of them appear 2 weeks after the missed period. Those r nausea, vomiting, breast fullness and increased urination. As you have not missed period you can not be pregnant. Bleeding which you had was ovulation spotting which is considered as good sign for you to get pregnant in future.
