You might have a cavity must likely which needs to be checked by your dentist. If it is very deep it may require a root canal. Or else a small filling. Please visit your dentist asap.

The simplest method of removing minor surface stains is polishing, or micro-abrasion if staining is more intrinsic. Provided that your discolouration is not due to inadequate enamel exposing the dentin, tooth whitening (bleaching) is often the most effective treatment for yellow stained teeth. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply snowdent paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results.

Hello Use Homeodent toothpaste twice daily, morning and night before sleep. Home remedy:- Cleaning your teeth with fresh orange peel on a regular basis will reduce the yellow tinge accumulated on your teeth. Rub orange peel over your teeth every night before going to sleep. The vitamin C and calcium in the orange peel will combat the microorganisms throughout the night.Do this for a few weeks and you will notice effective results. If fresh orange peel is not available, you can use dried orange peel powder. Take care.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user! Although your blood sugar levels are not alarmingly high, nevertheless high blood sugar levels do have their detrimental effects on the body. The oral cavity (mouth) is not saved either! High blood sugar levels bring down the immunity of the body and minor and small infections also escalate causing a lot of problems. I strongly suggest you to keep your blood sugar levels under control and meet good physician who can help you with that. Oral Health can be kept optimum by timely visits to your dentists and taking his/her recommendations seriously and putting them into practise. A good dentist will always tell you about best practises and tips and tricks about keeping a good oral hygiene. Do not ignore small decays and never ignore gum disease, as these are especially more common in diabetics. Regarding a good toothpaste. Well there is no such thing as the best tooth paste. Any tooth paste is always as good as your brushing habits and techniques. Although I would suggest you to keep away from tooth pastes which have any type of abrasives in it, as long term use of these can be detrimental to the tooth structure. There you go. I hope this was of some help to you. Do take good care of your teeth! Thanks, Cheers.

Teeth sensitivity is a result of loss of outer most layer (enamel) of teeth. That can be due to: - tooth grinding - acidic beverages (such as soda) that cause enamel erosion and dentin exposure. - brushing with a very abrasive toothpaste, brushing incorrectly and/or brushing more than three times a day could result in a loss of enamel. - a chipped or fractured tooth may expose the dentin. Here are few steps to avoid sensitivity of teeth: - practice good oral hygiene. - use a sensitivity toothpaste like sensodyne. - don't brush too hard. - use a softer toothbrush. - take care while consuming acidic foods. - use fluoridated dental products. - avoid grinding your teeth. - see your dentist regularly for professional tooth cleaning, dental care recommendations and advice on treating your sensitive teeth.

Hi I want to go for crowns and veeners for my complete upper and lower jaw as I have stained teeth. Please suggest me an economical option, as per some dentist it will cost around Rs. 1,50,000.

BDS
Dentist,
You will need to first check out what stains you have on your teeth. If those are minor then maybe scaling, polishing and bleaching can take care of it. In case you still need to go for veneers, then usually the front 6-10 teeth in the upper and lower jaw are treated, which will get you that perfect smile. The cost varies according to the veneer material used and also who is doing it. Just enquire around and get it done from someone you trust fully.. And remember.... "price is what you pay, value is what u get" Keep smiling :)

Blood comes from my teeth whenever I brush my teeth, eat or sometimes blood comes on its own, please help me.
Blood can come from gingiva and not from teeth. You need to undergo checkup it can most probably due to gum infection. Go for a full mouth cleaning from dentist. Practise good oral hygeine. Brush regularly. Use a good quality toothbrush. Change your brush every3-4 months. Gargle with warm water after every meal. And do visit your dentist every six months.

Sir you have answer in your question itself. You need to quit smoking as smoking can cause severe halitosis. Smoke deposits on teeth can lead to periodontitis which needs to be evaluated by the dentist. Apart from that do visit your dentist for routine cleaning and clinical assessment of your gums.

Tongue cleaning is as important as brushing and flossing. Use of a proper tongue scraper every morning will remove tongue plaque and freshen your breath.

Hello, my sister has bad breath problem problem she brushes her teeth twice a day brushes her tongue daily .she does not have a tonsil problem. N tongue is also pink so what could be the problem?

BDS, CDE Endo-Prostho, CDE - Cast Partial & Complete Dentures

Hello, bad breath could be because of deposits on your teeth and food lodged in between your teeth. You need to visit the dentist and get a deep scaling and polishing done. Brush twice a day. Maintain proper brushing technique. Rinse after every meal. Floss regularly.
