Sir I am suffering from knock knee so I want method of exercises which I should do to cure it hope you will give answer.
Honestly no exercise is going to work. Only after a certain degree knock knees are bothersome and if they are surgery is the only option.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned pain in your hip joint since 1 month. How severe is your pain (0-10)? - do you think that your movements are significantly restricted? - is there any associated swelling or s/s of inflammation like skin redness, local warmth etc as well? could you recall the cause of onset of this pain, like any injury etc? do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Nothing to worry about, it happens sometimes as your muscles are stretched. Just apply warm mustard oil over stretched part and do moderate workout. The stiffness will go down slowly in one to two days.

Dear Vaibhav, Get a MRI done to pin point the cause and site of pain . Meanwhile go for Ayurveda's Panchkarma Therapy - We have many option for u - Kati Basti (Specialised Panchakarma procedure for Backpains), Localised Massgae with Herbal oils, Localised Medicated Steam, Pottali Massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax ur back muscles and give strength to ur nerves and muscles of back. also start some Yogic exercises - Tadasana, Dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. This will greatly help. Please avoid pushing / pulling heavy objects, long sittings, long two-wheeler drives. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

A very practical approach I have been using for most chronic knee pain sufferers planning surgical intervention!!!! It gives amazing post op results!!
An interesting blog by David Buttler ( from whom I learnt it)!!!

" Knee replacements in the brain ? the patient?s side
Posted by David buttler.

John Barbis, aging Philadelphian PT had a bilateral knee replacement 4 months ago. I have just watched him scurry though the snow like a squirrel and run up stairs like a five year old. He can sit on his haunches and he has been doing all this for months.

John says ???I felt immediate ownership of my new knees after surgery. But I had prepared well ? more my mind than the rest of my body. I started two months before the surgery. I did left/right knee discrimination exercises 3 times a day, I visualised the surgery, I visualised the IV going in, then going under and waking up. I did lots of mindfulness , the UCLA mindfulness project. I visualised my knees moving after the surgery and I imagined how they would move much more than they did before. I imagined that I would have pain, but I reasoned that it would not be pain related to any danger to my knees. I knew medication would be available if I needed it.?

?Having seen knee replacement surgeries before was helpful. I knew they would be bending my knees full range in the operating theatre and I knew it would only be swelling and sensitivity that would limit me post-surgery and this would be temporary and a part of the healing process. I knew the only way I could hurt myself was if I fell. I visualised walking normally as soon as I woke. I only used a walker at night for a few days, but I didn?t want use it as I wanted a normal walking pattern using my arms as soon as possible?.

?The new knees were all mine as soon as I woke up and I was glad to say goodbye to the old ones. I wanted to be in total control. I didn?t want anyone pushing on my knees. There is no reason why someone else should have to push on someone?s knee to get range of motion?.

?I knew there would be nociception, I knew there would be neural flares but I knew they could be made safe. I avoided the total knee education class offered ? it was scary?

?Overall, I worked on my brain more than working on my knees?

Hi, if your pain started suddenly after lifting weight or sometimes even with rigorous exercise it may be due intervertebral disc prolapse. So pain starts immediately and is severe in nature. If pain develops gradually it may be due to muscle spasm/ mechanical backache. Well you require absolute bed rest (for your spine to rest) along with analgesics, physiotherapy may help. Disc is not seen on xrays, may require mri scan to rule out. Consult and get examined.

Any serious illness, especially painful ones, can make you tired along with bodyaches. But some quite minor illnesses can also leave you feeling washed out. Here are 10 health conditions that are known to cause fatigue. 1. Coeliac disease This is a type of food intolerance, where your body reacts badly when you eat gluten – a substance found in bread, cakes and cereals. 90% of us don’t know we have the condition, Other symptoms of coeliac disease, apart from tiredness, are diarrhoea, anaemia and weight loss. Your Doctor can check if you have coeliac disease through a blood test. 2. Anaemia One of the most common medical reasons for feeling constantly run down is iron deficiency anaemia. It affects around one in 20 men and post-menopausal women, but may be even more common in women who are still having periods. Typically, you’ll feel you can’t be bothered to do anything, your muscles will feel heavy and you’ll get tired very quickly. Women with heavy periods and pregnant women are especially prone to anaemia. 3. Chronic fatigue syndrome Chronic fatigue syndrome (also called myalgic encephalomyelitis or ME) is a severe and disabling tiredness that goes on for at least six months. There are usually other symptoms, such as a sore throat, muscle or joint pain and headache. 4. Sleep apnoea Sleep apnoea is a condition where your throat narrows or closes during sleep and repeatedly interrupts your breathing. This results in bad snoring and a drop in your blood's oxygen levels. The difficulty in breathing means that you wake up often in the night, and feel exhausted the next day. It’s most common in overweight, middle-aged men. Drinking alcohol and smoking makes it wor 5. Underactive thyroid An underactive thyroid gland means that you have too little thyroid hormone (thyroxine) in your body. This makes you feel tired. You’re also likely to put on weight and have aching muscles. It’s most common in women, and it happens more often as you get older. Your Doctor can diagnose an underactive thyroid by taking blood test 6. Diabetes One of the main symptoms of diabetes, a long-term condition caused by too much sugar in the blood, is feeling very tired. The other key symptoms are feeling very thirsty, going to the toilet a lot and weight loss. Your Doctor can diagnose diabetes with a blood test. 7. Glandular fever Glandular fever is a common viral infection that causes fatigue, along with fever, sore throat and swollen glands. Most cases happen in teenagers and young adults. Symptoms usually clear up within four to six weeks, but the fatigue can linger for several more months. 8. Depression As well as making you feel very sad, depression can also make you feel drained of energy. It can stop you falling asleep or cause you to wake up early in the morning, which makes you feel more tired during the day. 9. Restless legs This is when you get uncomfortable sensations in your legs, which keep you awake at night. You might have an overwhelming urge to keep moving your legs, a deep ache in your legs, or your legs might jerk spontaneously through the night. Whatever your symptoms, your sleep will be disrupted and of poor quality, so you’ll feel very tired throughout the day. 10. Anxiety Feeling anxious is sometimes perfectly normal. However, some people have constant, uncontrollable feelings of anxiety, which are so strong they affect their daily life. We call this generalised anxiety disorder (GAD). It is becoming more frequent in India. As well as feeling worried and irritable, people with GAD often feel tired. So either consult me with your present and past complaints.Menstrual history.,Family history or consult your doctor.

Your mother is having pain in the groin region. This pain is related to her bones. I advise you to give her proper balanced vegetarian diet. Take fruits and vegetables in daily diet. Take 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. Avoid garlic and red chilly at home. Avoid non veg and eggs. I advise you to get her vitamin d, serum calcium levels done and consult good orthopaedic doctor. I suspect, she is suffering from osteoporosis.
