First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Hi. I am having terrible pain on my foot sole. I have visited an ortho was asked to do x-ray but he said it's normal. He gave me pain killers but now it's 2 weeks and I have no relief. The pain is unbearable I am not able to walk or do any activities. Please if you can help.

I am having terrible pain on my foot sole. I have visited an ortho was asked to do x-ray but he said it's normal....
Sole pain as in your situation is most likely due to plantar fascitis. There is inflammation of tissue at sole of foot. The treatment mostly is conservative and lifestyle modifications to achieve maximum functionality with minimum pain. Follow these lifestyle changes religiously to get benefit. 1. Reduce body weight as obesity will aggravate the stress on heel. 2. Avoid exercises like running / walking on hard surfaces. Stop such activities when you start developing pain. 3. Roll your feet on bottle of cold water for 20 mins 4 times a day or can apply ice pack. 4. Use shoes with silicone sole inserts. 5. Do calf muscle and heel stretches daily. 6. Avoid prolonged standing or sitting. 7. Use night splint to keep foot flexed at night. Stop using it once pain is relieved. 8. Use analgesics like ibuprofen for decreasing pain and inflammation. If problem persists consult a pain specialist to get plantar fascia injection for relief. With proper lifestyle changes as above 90 % patients have relief and functionality. Only 10% patients would require surgical intervention like plantar fascia release or gastrocnemius recession.

Calf muscle are stiff so tk heat fermentation with warm water for 20 minutes and apply pain relief ointment and avoid long standing. After relief do calf stretching exercise.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. If it is an acute phase of your injury, then you can have bruises and abrasions etc which will settle over a period of time, but make sure there is no bony injury. If you want, you can send me your x ray so that I can have a look and advise you accordingly. Initially: do lots of ice packs at painful site and site of dicolouration. Analgesic spray for local application take analgesic as per your body suitability for 5 - 7 days rest for 3-5 days let me know in 1week - 10 days time about your pain, and discolouration. Dear lybrate-user, I appreciate your care towards your mother. Frozen shoulder is a very common complication of diabetes and affects females more than males. It is because of deposition of glucose and proteins in shoulder capsule which is also called adhesive capsulitis which is seen as self limiting but painful condition which is treated by 1) good control of blood sugar 2) physiotherapy when it is not very painful 3) pain relievers, vit d and calcium. Already she has gone thru 6 months. Please be patient as she'll surely come out of it in next few days.

Kindly show me a photograph & X rays of your shoulder. Rule out diabetes & vit.D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Do hot fomentation Any way take IBUPROFEN 200mg OD & SOS x 5days Caldikind plus (Mankind) 1Tab ODx10days You will need other supportive medicines also. Do neck & shoulder exercises It may have to be further investigated Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Back pain after prolonged sitting can be due to sacroilitis or disc degeneration or quadratus lumborum muscle ( a muscle in our back) strain. Initially you can try conservative treatment as described below. If problem persists consult again. 1. Sit with straight back and change posture in between. 2. Take breaks in between work and walk. 3. Do back strengthening and stretching exercises daily. 4. Take simple painkillers like paracetamol if pain is persistent. 5. Apply analgesic cream or gel over back followed by warm fomentation. 6.Do not bend and lift weights. 7. Keep pillow behind knees at night. 8. If back pain is accompanied with radiating leg pain or tingling , numbness or weakness, consult your doctor immediately

Body weight is directly responsible for knee pain when we stand, our knee take 4 times the body weight, when we walk fast or climb stairs it may reach upto 8 times the body weight so you are advised to reduce your weight as soon as possible avoid sitting on floor or climbing stairs.

Take medicine of thyroid to maintain a check of suger level. Tk calcium supplements and do stretching exercise of both limbs like yoga avoid strain full activity and gentle movement of all joint.

Dear lybrate-user being a sports person you should get your shoulder checked up to get a diagnosis. May be you have a rotator cuff tear and need detailed evaluation and imaging to confirm that diagnosis. Meanwhile apply ice and avoid over head activities.

X-ray must firstly if swelling is there and pain raise avoid long standing. Apply the ice pack for 20 min twice a day. At a present time. After x-ray report if normal go for physiotherapy treatment.

Hello, Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? Any underlying medical condition? Medication: Meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day.

Use hot water bag and keep it there for sometime. Do it regularly. You can also consult a physiotherapist. He can show you various exercises to relieve the pain and then you can do it on your own.

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

Dear user, go for inferential and ultrasonic therapy to reduce pain. Do some back strengthening excercises to gain strength. Avoid long standing. Sitting posture must be cirrect. Driving more than 40 kms. Take a halt for 5 mins and move.
