Dear Lybrate user, There can be slight fluctuation in baby's movements. However, if the slowness is significant it is a cause for concern. Usually, iron tablets contain folic acid. Check the contents of iron tablet you are taking. If there is folic acid, there is no need to take it separately.

We all love to eat out. Good food and good company, these are incomparable joys of life. But what about healthy eating? are you supposed to forget all about it, when you're dining out? absolutely not. We tell you how you can eat healthy when eating out. Use these tips to make smart choices, and you can enjoy the occasional splurge, without worrying about the calories.

1. Do not go out on an empty stomach

Have a light, but filling snack before you head out for dinner. An empty stomach may lead to over-eating or bad choices. Have a fruit, maybe an apple, or a low-calorie yoghurt, to keep the hunger pangs at bay.

2. Be informed

Check the menu of the restaurant beforehand. You'll be able to make healthier choices, and have a better idea of what you wish to eat.

Once there, do not hesitate to ask the server or the chef, about the nutritional information of the dish you want to order. Ask them about the method of cooking if you're unsure. Also, a lot of restaurants these days can customize dishes according to the customer's preference. For example, if your dish comes with a side of chips or fries, get it replaced with veggies.

3. Order right

For non-vegetarians, we recommend grilled or kebab meats. Always opt for lean meats. Tandoori items are your best bet, as they are relatively healthier, when compared to fried items or gravy based dishes. For vegetarians, grilled, baked and roasted dishes are recommended.

4. Go for an a la carte meal

Tempting as they might be, avoid buffets. Surveys have shown that buffets encourage over eating. That second or third helping of a dish may seem tempting, but it is never good for your waist line!

5. Drink lots of water

Drink water with your meal. It will keep you full, and is a much better alternative to sugar filled cold drinks. Also, water helps break down the food, so that your body can absorb the nutrients. But occasionally, we don't say no to a glass of wine, along with your meal.

6. Guilt free dessert

There's good news for all those who have a sweet tooth. You can eat the dessert! all you need to know is how to go about it. Dessert does have a lot of calories, but you can skip the main course and just opt for the dessert instead. That way, you will just be consuming the calories from the sweet treat, instead of the main course. So go ahead, have a slice of that delicious red velvet cake for dinner!

7.Diet friendly alcohol

For people who can't have social outings without alcohol, you should make intelligent choices when it comes to booze as these are sheer empty calories. While champagne is the best choice as it has the least no. Of calories, scotch has 105 kcal, vodka has 96 kcal and beer will definitely give you a beer belly. Red wine is good for the heart but has good 125 kcal per serving. Try diluting the drinks with more of sodas or water unlike juices or aerated drinks, as they further add on to the calories.

Hi I am 34 years married female, on 4th feb I got a pre-term labor (it was 6 month of pregnancy) and failed to survive the child though a living baby was born, my postpartum bleeding stopped by 16th feb, now on 28th march I am experiencing mild cramp and very faint reddish tint bleeding with minor brown tint mucous. I really don't know whether its my menstrual period or not? And is this normal too?

Ayurveda has a definite advantageous classic medicine in such conditions: 1. Sootikabharan rasa 125 mg bd with honey to be licked. 2. Sootika vinod rasa 1 tab bd with milk (prefer with cow milk) 3. Hello, The menses could have been delayed due to stress however you may rule out pregnancy with a serum beta hcg test. If negative then you can safely wait for your menses to arrive.

Hi if your cycles are regular ovulation happens 14 days prior to expected date of next menses. Lh kits are available but it may be cumbersome. So I suggest you to have daily intercourse from 10th day of menses till 20th day. Ovulation day may be unpredictable. So regular intercourse for 10 days will suffice. Hope my answer helps you. It's a difficult situation. Filling defect in uterus may result from a previous D n C done for abortion and if no spillage is seen from both the tubes it means the tubes r blocked. Can repeat hsg once more to confirm bcoz sometimes tubal blockage can b just a tubal spasm. If repeat hsg also shows same, then it wud b difficult for her to conceive normally or thru IUI. Consult an IVF clinic for that.

Hello, PCOS is not a disease,it is a disorder ,so it cannot be cured,but can be managed easily. Hirsutism or unwanted facial hair growth is most common problem with PCOS . Eat a well balanced diet rich in proteins like pulses/ dal/ chicken/egg/fish. Carbohydrtates like whole grain cereals, rice, chappati; yoghurt/ milk; vegetables and low in fat and fried foods.

I presume that you mean that, when you get up after sex to pass urine, some semen also comes out of the vagina. This is normal and most of the semen will come out. That is not to be worried. But if you are just 19 and not married, please use some contraceptive.

No - Why Saying it is Healthier at Times?

'No' appears to be a very simple and straightforward word. However, it can be shockingly hard to say. People most of the time agree to things that they really do not want. Since they would preferably feel overburdened and low rather than disappoint somebody, saying "no" feels easier to maintain connections with people.

The repercussions of this absence of disagreement is critical. By overcommitting ourselves, we are actually consuming the majority of our positive energy and using it somewhere where you might not want to. This takes away from our common character and quality. It leaves us tired and we meet each day like it is simply one more battle. We also give up our own requirements for space, stillness, relaxation and imagination and are bound to our state.

To stay away from this, we must know about our own necessities and priorities for both mental and physical well-being and joy. For this, one may have to know when saying "yes" will fulfill your requirement for rest, relaxation or self-awareness. When one does this, their unfounded dread of not being socially acceptable from saying "no" will go away gradually.

Here are three reasons why saying "no" can prove to be beneficial:

  1. You will have additional time: The extra time made by saying "no" will, at any rate, prevent that forced clock from ticking. It will make you feel like you are in control. This can truly lighten up your mood and lift your anxiety and bolster your health. Rather than saying yes to going out for lunch or a party that you feel obligated to go to, but might not want to, simply try to say no. You will automatically feel happier when you are sitting at home, relaxing rather than forcefully socialising.
  2. You will be less remorseful: At first, you may be reluctant to state "no" because of a paranoid fear of passing up a major opportunity or the fear of missing out. As a general rule, nonetheless, in case that you need to state "no," odds are you have much better explanations for you not being there. If you do go for it, you might regret it afterwards thinking that you could have done something better with your time rather than having completely wasted it.
  3. Your associates will respect you for it: No one wants that they should be taken for granted. However, in case that you continue saying "yes" to each demand or opportunity, that is precisely how individuals will come to see you. The more you say "yes," the more individuals will generally expect things of you. This could prompt to a drop in your status and position and loss of control over others.
