Last week me and my girlfriend got intimate and I kissed and Pressed her boobs hard. Het nipples then started paining for few days. I also inserted my finger half way inside her vagina. She didn't get her periods that time. Now yesterday she told me then till now she didn't get her period and she is worried. I want to know is there anything wrong with her?

MBBS, MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, FMAS, DMAS
Gynaecologist, Noida
Hello, there is all possibility that the delay in her menses is likely to be stress induced. She may rule out pregnancy after 7days post missed period sand once negative then she can safely wait for her menses to resume for atleast 2 weeks post missed periods before opting for a progesterone withdrawal.

Allergy after taking meat

BHMS
Homeopath, Raebareli
Allergy after taking meat
If you are allergic to meat, your body considers meat to be a physical threat. The first time you have this response, your immune system makes specific immunoglobulin e (ige) antibodies to fight the threat off. These antibodies attached to immune cells throughout your body.
After that, each time you eat meat, the allergen binds to the ige antibodies and causes the cells to release massive amounts of histamine and other chemicals to try to protect you.
Depending on the tissue in which these antibodies are released, these chemicals will cause you to have symptoms that can range from mild to severe. A severe allergic reaction can include anaphylaxis, a potentially life-threatening reaction that must be treated immediately.
A bite from the lone star tick can cause people to develop an allergy to red meat, including beef and pork. This specific allergy is related to a carbohydrate called alpha-gal and is best diagnosed with a blood test. Although reactions to foods typically occur immediately, in the instance of allergic reactions to alpha-gal, symptoms often take several hours to develop. Owing to the significant delay between eating red meat and the appearance of an allergic reaction, it can be a challenge to connect the culprit foods to symptoms.

Hello. Get blood tested for CBC, s. calcium and an ultrasound (pelvis) done to know the exact cause of it as there are many reasons like nutritional deficiencies, PCOD, etc. and let me know the reports.

I have done sex with my partner with out using any birth control devices during my ovulation period, and on the very next day I have conceived a pill. Before conceiving the pill bleeding occurred. It last for 3 days. And it is not the first time am doing sex with him. What is the solution for it? Why bleed? Am I pregnant?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Firstly are you sure that it was your ovulatory phase and not your menstrual date. If yes then bleeding after intercourse in ovulation phase before taking ipill is something to worry about, but not in terms of pregnancy as I do not think that you are pregnant.-----------------------------

All you need to know about infections of the Uterus, Vagina and Cervix

All you need to know about infections of the Uterus, Vagina and Cervix

All you need to know about infections of the uterus, vagina and cervix

The uterus, vagina and cervix are major components of the female reproductive system. Their functioning impacts the overall growth and health of the female body as well as sexuality.

There are a number of infections and diseases that affect the female reproductive organs. Most cases require clinical care and treatment in consultation with a gynaecologist.

Following are the symptoms of infection in the uterus, cervix or vagina:

  •  pain or numbness in the pelvic region
  •  unusual discharge from the vagina
  •  bleeding during or after intercourse
  •  pain or burning sensation during urination
  •  skipped periods
  •  excessively painful menstrual cramps
  •  nausea and vomiting
  •  urinary incontinence

There are three main types of infections that affect the organs of the female reproductive system. They are as follows:

1. Vaginitis
This is an infection that affects the vagina. It occurs when the walls of the vagina get inflamed and irritated. It is caused by bacteria, viruses, yeast, chemicals and even clothing. It often occurs due to sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). The different types of infections that occur as vaginitis are yeast infection, viral vaginitis, bacterial vaginitis, trichomoniasis vaginitis, etc.

2. Cervicitis
This infection affects the cervix. Cervicitis can either be acute or chronic in nature, depending upon what causes the cervix to get inflamed. It occurs most commonly due to sexually transmitted infections such as gonorrhoea, chlamydia and herpes. This condition is often confused with vaginitis as the two have similar causes and symptoms.

3. Pelvic inflammatory disease
Pelvic inflammatory disease (pid) is a serious infection that affects the uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes. It is caused by sexually transmitted infections like chlamydia and gonorrhoea and can lead to severe complications. It often causes scar tissue to grow between the internal organs and may even lead to ectopic pregnancy. If not properly diagnosed, it can cause infertility and other chronic problems.

Treating the various infections that affect the female reproductive system depends on a number of factors such as nature of the problem, age and medical history of the patient, and the root causes. Early detection and diagnosis ensure effective treatment which makes it important to see a gynaecologist at the onset of symptoms.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology

You are most likely suffering from pcod. Cyst needs to be resolved first and then treatment to get pregnancy will start. It should take 2 months to resolve cyst. But you need to reduce weight to get pregnant.

Hiii She is suffering from extreme pain during periods on 2nd and 3rd day Please suggest why is this happening or is it natural.

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello lybrate-user- pain during menses is due to improper tone of uterus muscles. Use dashmoolaristha 2 tsp twice daily for 10 days before menses. This single medicine will cure all of your menstrual problems (do not use the medicine more than ten days as the body will become habitual to it and will not respond quickly)

You are suffering from increased vaata dosha. Have dashmoolarishtam + ashokarishtam 20 ml twice a day. Go for matra vasti at a panchakarma centre before period starts. Don't eat junk food. Have milk with ghee added in it daily.
