Any fracture takes at least 6 weeks to stabilize. It will take many months to completely heal. Take comple rest. The pain will subside once the fracture becomes sticky and stops moving. If there is significant gap at the fracture site you need to consult an orthopaedic surgeon.

Boil 3 grams of fresh mint leaves or 1.5 grams of dried powder of mint leaves in 1 cup of water for 15-20 minutes. Take lukewarm with 1 teaspoon of honey at bedtime. Add ½ tsp of cinnamon powder and 1 tsp of honey with 1 cup of warm milk. Drink before going to bed. Massage your feet with lukewarm mustard oil 2-3 times a day and before going to bed. Take 1 teaspoon each of brahmi and ashwagandha powder in 2 cups of water, boil and reduce it to one cup and drink it daily in the morning. Tips for back ache:: 1.Peel two cloves of garlic and crush it. Add this to a glass of milk. Boil it on a mild flame till one-fourth glass remains. Filter and make two equal parts. Drink one part in the morning and the other in the evening. 2.Warm mustard oil or sesame oil (1 teaspoon) with 3-4 cloves of crushed garlic and 1 tsp of ajwain (carom) seeds until it roasts to a reddish brown colour. Ensure that it does not get burned. Massage this oil on your affected areas. After that do hot fomentation with salt potli (bag).

Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. First thing is give rest to the ankle, no playing for some time till recovery is complete. Secondly apply ice pack daily twice on the swollen and painful area. If need be take some NSAIDs with paracetamol. If swelling does not subside even after these measures, then better to see an orthopedician as there may be a need for further check up like an x-ray. Thanks.
