You have to reduce frequency of masturbation. Twice per week is ok. Here are the best ways on how to quit masturbation. Remove all the sources that trigger the urge to perform the act of masturbation such as block the websites which allows access to pornographic content. Some toys which trigger the body sexually to perform masturbation must be removed. Try to avoid staying up until late night. Avoid taking hot showers which may also trigger the urge to perform masturbation. Getting socially active is one of the important factors for controlling and quitting masturbation, as living alone promotes the activity of masturbation especially if a person is heartbroken with his relationship. Getting in a social group fills up the leisure time so that the person can optimally control such thoughts. One of the most important things is to try not to touch the intimate part of the body. To ensure this, spend more time in good company and not alone. If any other friend is also experiencing the issues, then it is always a good idea to quit the relationship or friendship. Masturbation also results due to excessive body stress or tension. Exercising regularly helps in relieving the body stress and tension. It is recommended to increase or double the exercise when a person feels depressed or stressed. Try to make the body to adapt abstinence. Initially try not to perform masturbation for a day, then gradually moves to days then weeks.

Hello lybrate-user! You are 23 years old and according to you your upper lateral incisor is tilted. Well tilting or crowded teeth are a part of malocclusion (improper alignment of teeth) and extraction is not always the best line of management. Since you are young and we are looking at the upper front tooth which forms a major component of a persons appearence (smile) I would advise you to see a competent Orthodontist (braces specialist). He will take appropriate measures (xrays, impressions etc.) and help in advising you the correct line of treatment. May be the tooth can be brought out and aligned properly in the arch. Or if there is no space there could be space creation by extraction of a Premolar tooth and subsequently moving the adjacent teeth behind to make space for the lateral incisor. (All this is valid if the tooth you are mentioning is not a deciduous tooth. If it is a milk tooth then your permanent tooth might have been stuck inside the bone and there could be the possibility to bring that tooth out and align it. All in all these descisions can be only made after the orthodontist examines. So please do visit a good orthodontist and he will give you good options to your problem. Thanks, take care, Cheers.

*Try to keep to a regular timing for going to bed*Avoid fried and heavy foods. Eat early and light food at night so that the food is almost digested by the time you go to bed. *Prefer fruits and green vegetables. *Fix daily work schedule and be busy with your work. Don’t keep pending problems in mind. Note down the points and leave them for next day’s action. *Don’t do stimulating mental work or keep watching TV which can keep your mind agitated or active. This will not allow you to sleep. LCD screen will also have adverse effect. *Day’s physical exercise makes you tired and induces sleep. *A warm bath in the evening will also be helpful. *Low volume music also induces sleep. *Keep your bed room neat, dark and cool. You may cover your eyes with bed sheet. *Drink plenty of water during the day rather than toward bedtime. *Don’t have stimulating drinks like tea or coffee Drinking a glass of milk before going to bed is fine. The problem can be treated by homeopathy and without adverse effects. Take Nux vomica 200 twice daily for 7 days and give feedback. You may opt for private consultation. (Prime Rs. 149/)

My hb is 12.5 mcv 22 and serumferritin 4.5 what are the common iron supplements and their dosages.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
First of all try and find the cause of low iron levels. Once treated your iron levels will rise. Apart from that include food which are rich in iron in your regular meals. Such foods include: dark green leafy vegetables, dates, jaggery, raisins, nuts, legumes, pulses, etc. Increase your intake of vitamin c rich foods such as berries, sweet lime, orange, etc. Vitamin c help is increasing absorption rate of iron in body.

Knee pain is a common complaint that affects people of all ages. Knee pain may be the result of an injury or some other medical conditions including arthritis, patellar tendinitis, acl injury, knee bursitis, torn meniscus, gout and infections. Try some home remedies for your pain- - ice is useful for the control of pain and swelling. It can be applied to the knee for 15 to 20 minutes as often as every two to four hours. The swollen knee should be elevated above the level of the heart while icing. -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting jogging aerobics, dancing playing sport specific exercises will help you improve range of motion, strength, and endurance. It is especially important to focus on strengthening and stretching your quadriceps since these muscles are the main stabilizers of your kneecap. Core exercises may also be recommended to strengthen the muscles in your abdomen and lower back. Also maintaining a healthy body weight to avoid overstressing your knees are very important. -a full history of your problem should be taken and your movements assessed by a physiotherapist. Please consult a physiotherapist for the same. For headache please consult a general physician and check your bp. Best wishes.

Hi, first stop smoking. It's a big enemy not only for your lungs, brain and several other organs, it also causes erection problems in the long run. Similarly self-medication and excessive use of medicines unless really warranted are detrimental to your health including sexual health. Stop these two! And then consult over phone - me or other sex therapists to discuss the delay in ejaculation. It needs eliciting a lot of information from you, before suggesting means to overcome it. Best wishes.
