Hello, I am 34 y old male and I have a dry mouth for last 4 months. When I drink water after 30 minut I need to water. What should I do?

Advanced Aesthetics, BDS

Hi, dry mouth is caused due to decreased secretion of saliva. We need to check you clinically to advise for any cause and solution. I would advise you to visit to a dentist or you can come for a consultation (free of cost) or check up.

Hi, I have a habbit of taking honey with warm water early in the morning. Can I continue this after oil pulling. Can I do oil pulling with sesame oil or should I do only with coco nut oil.

PG Fellowship In Microdentistry, BDS
Dentist, Thane
Oil pulling is a very primitive way or cleansing your teeth it may not be very helpful. I would suggest ideally not to rely on the same.

Sometimes young adolescents and adults fall and get fracture of incisors and loss of a large portion of their permanent teeth causing cosmetic problem while smiling. What should be advised to them for getting their problem remedied.

DGOI, Aesthetic , M.Sc - Master of Oral Implantology (MOI), MDS - Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
Hello doctor. Very genuine question sir. The fracture of the front tooth or teeth are more prone if the teeth are placed more front than usual making it more susceptible for the impact. This has to be corrected by repositioning the upper front teeth slightly behind than the current position, which is more harmonious to the rest I the complement of the teeth. The treatment usually us orthodontics (braces). But in any case of the trauma has already occurred then the best option wud be combination of braces as well as cosmetic recontouring of the teeth. I hope I answers your doubt sir. If anymore please feel free to contact

I think it is nursing bottle caries. You should clean you son's milk tooth with warm saline water in everytime after taking food. And consult your nearest pedodontist in kolkata.

Dear sir/ madam, I have a tooth decay problem at initial stage so. What should I do now and my teeth are in yellow color, what should be my next move.

Dentist, Bangalore
Hi, you will need to visit a dentist. For the tooth decay, they may take an x-ray and see how deep the decay has gone. If it's not too deep, they will suggest a filling. For the yellow colour, you may be advised to practice better oral hygiene or if you are interested and have no other problems, you can get bleaching or teeth whitening done. Hope this has been helpful.

Hello doctor, some black tiny sports arises my tongue I want to remove them pls give home remedies.

BDS
Dentist,
Hi lybrate-user, the black spots in you tongue are due to excess pigmentation and it should not bother you in any way. But if you are aesthetically displeased with those there are minor surgical procedures to remove them, but no home remedies would help it.

There is sometime bleeding from my teeth. I am very scared about it. Is there any solution for this.

DGOI, Aesthetic , M.Sc - Master of Oral Implantology (MOI), MDS - Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics, BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
Hello there it's a genuine concern the bleeding cud be from the gums rather than the teeth. Of course sometimes you feel it cud be from the teeth. But that cudnt be the case in any case this means that your gums are getting weak. Please pay a visit to your dentist and get your teeth cleaned and also he would suggest you other options depending on the severity of your case hope it helped.

I have serious cavity problem over 8 months. Toothpaste are not working. What should I do?

BDS
Dentist, Ahmedabad
First of all toothpaste don't have any role for the prevention of cavities. And having cavities is not a serious problem at all. Cavities which are not too deep can be excavated and be restored by a dental cement. Cavities that are very deep can be cured by root canal treatment followed by crown ( cap ). For better prevention of cavities , 1- Follow proper brushing technique. 2- Brush twice a day 3-clean your teeth immediately every time after you eat fiid or liquids. 4- Undergo scaling ( cleaning of teeth) at the interval of every 5-6 months. 5- Visit dentist for regular oral cavity check up every 4 months for the early diagnosis and prevention of dental diseases.

On occasionally my gums of the teeth is bleeding. Could you please let us know what precautions need to be taken for stopping the bleed from my gums.

BDS
Dentist,
Hi, bleeding from the gums can be caused due to deposition of tartar between your teeth and gums which in turn irritates your gums and causes bleeding. Its advisable to get a complete scaling done which can cure the problem.

I am losing my gums, gums size is decreasing, what is the solution. please suggest

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
It is called as gum recession. There are a number of factors that can cause your gums to recede, including: - periodontal diseases. - aggressive tooth brushing - insufficient dental care. - tobacco products(if one consume) - grinding and clenching your teeth. - misaligned bite. Treatment of gum recession- - mild gum recession may be able to be treated by your dentist by deep cleaning the affected area. - if your gum recession cannot be treated with deep cleaning because of excess loss of bone and pockets that are too deep, gum surgery may be required to repair the damage caused by gum recession.
