Well, as you have described your problem beautifully, diagnosis has become easy. You have unstable knee because of Torn ligament. Most probably it's ACL tear. It's more than 2 months now. You are afraid of surgery, but my friend, there are worse side effects of the injury on knee if left untreated. Unstable knee gets degenerative changes very fast. You will have cartilage damage and meniscus tear as time goes. Then recovery of your knee will be jeopardised. Please visit a proper Knee specialist who performs Arthroscopic surgeries. He will take care of your knees. Get an MRI done. It should be good quality 3 Tesla MRI. Please ask for CD of that MRI. I hope you understand the gravity of the situation. Dr Prashant Parate. Shoulder and Knee specialist.

I am 19 year old and I feel pain in arm and leg joint. I visit many doctors but it did not work. Can you suggest me something.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

One of the main causes of foot pain is wearing shoes that do not fit properly. You can also develop foot pain if you are injured during high-impact exercise or sport activities, such as jogging or intense aerobics. There are a few general tips that can help relieve your discomfort. These include: 1. Applying ice to the affected area 2. Taking an over-the-counter pain reliever 3. Using foot pads to prevent rubbing on the affected area 3. Keeping the foot that is causing you pain elevated 4. Resting your foot as much as possible you can take many measures to help prevent ongoing foot pain. For example: 1. Choose comfortable, roomy, and well-cushioned shoes 2. Avoid shoes with large heels and narrow toe areas 3. Maintain a healthy weight 4. Stretch before engaging in vigorous exercise 5. Practice good foot hygiene 6. Always wear some type of footwear when outdoors to protect your feet. For knee pain: there are many conditions that can cause knee pain. - ice is useful for the control of pain and swelling. It can be applied to the knee for 15 to 20 minutes as often as every two to four hours. -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting jogging aerobics, dancing playing sport you need detail assessment with a physiotherapist to find out what causing you this pain. Please do private consultation with a physio. Best wishes.

I have more fats on my stomach and my head and body is paining altimeter and feel restless now a days.

BHMS
Homeopath, Raebareli
The best way to get a flat stomach is to try high intensity cardio. This is because it burns a larger number of calories than low intensity cardio. Playing sports such as football, basketball, cricket, tennis and other sports is also helpful in promoting weight loss. You should perform cardio exercises each day for 60 minutes. Brisk walking is considered an effective cardio workout for those who suffer from joint problems, as it does not place much stress on the joints, compared to other cardio exercises such as running or cycling.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Non-veg food is always harmful esp as animals dont have the means to neutralise any antibodies / steroids given to them to make them "look healthy and plump. But on the other hand plants have the ability to neutralise any toxin that it is sprayed with or filter itself from polluted soil. Hence its better to stick to plant based diet always and remain healthy. Your BMI is about 30 which falls under obesity. Calculate your calorie intake and expenditure. Calories spent should be more than intake. Follow regular routine of exercise. Take 30 days challenge to lose atleast 5 kg off.

Hi, I am suffering from constant fatigue and aching feet. The possible reasons behind this phenomenon?

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology
Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
Mr. lybrate-user, It is difficult give a specific reason for the complaints mentioned, because fatigue and aching in feet can be due to many reasons like certain vitamin deficiency, calcium deficiency, anemia, conditions like diabetes, neuropathy etc. To find out specific cause one may have to go through a number of investigations. There is no mention about weight, height, whether exercising regularly, presence of any diseases like diabetes or hypothyroidism. It may be necessary to get Vitamin D, Calcium, B12 levels. Plus tests to check if there is hypothyroidism and diabetes. Thanks.

ADVICE for a goods nights sleep on your New PILLOW
ADVICE for a goods nights sleep on your New PILLOW
A supportive pillow can make a world of difference
Like a new pair of shoes, your new pillow needs to be worn in.
Use your pillow at the beginning of each night.
If you experience any discomfort, change to your old pillow.
Continue to do this until your neck posture alters enough allowing continual use ? in some cases this can take up to 2 weeks.

Iw ant to know bout pain in back when I go to sleep a pain comes in my back what I can do I can, t tell because of the problem.

MSPT (Master of Physical Therapy)
Physiotherapist,
If you have pain when going to bed it may be due to irritation of spinal nerves. Do a test for yourself: walk on toes by lifting your heals - then walk on heals by lifting your toes. When you get pain severe when walking either of this way there is a chance of spinal nerve getting irritated. Spinal nerve irritation may be due to continuous bike or car driving, wrong sitting posture during work, heavy weight lifting, etc. You need a consultation from a qualified physiotherapist.
