Peanut Butter - 10 Surprising Reasons Why You Must Have it

Peanut Butter - 10 Surprising Reasons Why You Must Have it

If you are hungry at a time that is well past your bedtime, a dollop of peanut butter spread on crackers makes for a handsome little meal. Researchers suggest that if you can control your intake, peanut butter is actually helpful for your health.

The benefits of peanut butter are as follows:

  1. Peanut butter contains a fairly large amount of unsaturated fats. The consumption of a moderate amount of peanut butter regularly keeps your heart in good shape.

  2. Peanut butter has high potassium content. Consumption of a moderate amount of peanut butter is useful to combat the ill effects of the harmful sodium content, which is abundant in most of the foods you eat on a daily basis. Potassium also helps in the growth and damage repair of the body muscles while aiding clotting of the blood vessels.

  3. Peanut butter is also a rich source of antioxidants, magnesium and fibres (which regulate the body function) all of which make peanut butter a rare combination of taste and health.

  4. Peanut Butter also contains a rich amount of protein. A serving of 2 table-spoons of peanut butter contains roughly 7 grams of protein.

  5. A moderate consumption of peanut butter might also help in providing energy for a sustained period, as it contain fats and proteins from which the required calorie intake is fulfilled.

  6. Consuming controlled amount of peanut butter might reduce your chances of suffering from diabetes; cutting the risks by about a whopping 30 percent.

  7. Peanut butter contains a fair amount of Vitamin E. Vitamin E is very helpful in protecting your body against toxic materials. It is also helpful in preventing you against cataract and Alzheimer’s disease.

  8. For women suffering from premenstrual syndrome, intake of peanut butter helps regulate the symptoms.

  9. Peanut butter also helps to keep you full for a long time as it contains sufficient amount of protein and fibre. This is also effective in initiating weight loss.

  10. Peanut butter also contains trace amount of zinc that helps in the development of the body’s immune system. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor.

Penis cant be changed but you can learn to use what you have in best way from sexologist. All men/women are different in their sexuality and health. You need to go for check up with sexologist physically to know the cause and get guidance/treatment for improvement. If you value your sexual health and want to enjoy quality sex in marriage then understanding and learning about sexuality is needed. As we all believe that what we know by hearsay or porn watching is great but in fact what we all know and understand is only penetration and that's not quality sex.

I am unmarried, when I masturbate, I come in a very short duration. Is it premature ejaculation. What should I do.

BHMS
Homeopath,
I am unmarried, when I masturbate, I come in a very short duration. Is it premature ejaculation. What should I do.
Dear lybrate user, quick discharge of sperm during masturbation does not indicate that you are suffering from premature ejaculation. In fact if you indulge in sexual relation after an interval of minimum 7 days then you are bound to discharge quickly during intercourse but that does not imply that you have any disease. It occurs due to loss of control of the muscles of penis. Normally it is seen that when a person does sexual intercourse daily he gains control over the muscles of penis & can stay longer during sex.

I'm 38 yrs of age. I am suffering from uric acid l go for run in the morning and gym in the evening could you pls tell me about diet and one thing I eat oats (broken wheat) and oats should I eat or not.

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine
Internal Medicine Specialist, Faridabad
A high uric acid level can be caused when your body either produces too much uric acid or your kidneys don't eliminate uric acid rapidly enough. A high uric acid level may cause increasingly frequent attacks of gout, or it may never cause problems. A high uric acid level may also cause some people to develop kidney stones or kidney failure. And some people with a high uric acid level also develop high blood pressure, heart disease or chronic kidney disease, but it's often unclear whether this is a direct cause or merely an early warning sign of these conditions. Factors that may cause a high uric acid level in your blood include: Diuretic medications (water pills),Drinking too much alcohol,Genetics (inherited tendencies),hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid),Immune-suppressing drugs,Niacin, or vitamin B-3, obesity, psoriasis, Purine-rich diet — organ meat, game meat, anchovies, herring, gravy, dried beans, driedpeas, mushrooms and other foods Renal insufficiency — inability of the kidneys to filter waste Tumor lysis syndrome — a rapid release of cells into the blood caused by certain cancers or by chemotherapy for those cancers,Also, you may be monitored for high uric acid levels when undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer. Avoid protein diets, avoid more milk products. bad habits , fast food/fat/oily,salty foods. Coffee, smoking, alcohol intake. Non-veg., take whole grain, oats, green veg.,plenty of water in day time, 1 glass of water at night before bed.Take tab. Zyloric 100 mg once a day.Take tab. Bencid 500 mg once a day. Tab. Ulracet sos or tab. Naprosyn 500 mg once a day or sos for pain in joints.

MD - Pathology
General Physician, Amritsar
Keep a close follow up with your treating doctor as long term steroids have side effects You can also discuss about certain other drugs like anti malarials and anti cancer drugs which can prevent relapse of SLE, if these can be used in your case. Then steroids can be restricted to acute phase

HI I am mobile addicted student and I want to get Rid of this addiction. Please help.
Dear Lybrate user. Mobile addiction, Sex thoughts, Sex addiction, masturbation addiction, porn films addiction etc comes under behavior addiction. Behavioral addiction is a form of addiction that involves a compulsion to engage in a rewarding non-drug-related behavior – sometimes called a natural reward – despite any negative consequences to the person's physical, mental, social or financial well-being. Behavior addiction needs to be curbed or controlled using your own self will power. Diverting your mind and body away from the circumstances which compels you for the addictive habit, with the help of physical exercises, games, entertainment etc can help you. Never sleep alone. Be always with your family even at night etc are some other tips. Willpower is the key always. Behavioral therapy also works well. Take care.

I am 23 year old boy. I went to neurologist for my migraine pain in 2013. But the doctor abused me addictive antidepressants without my knowing. I took those medicines from Jan 2013 to june 2013. The following medicines were taken÷ 1>Provanol SR 40 2>Newcita plus 3>Dicorate ER 250 4>Zanocin OD 400 5>Headset Now I feel weakness of my body. My weight fell down from 70 kg to 55 kg. Before the treatment of neurologist I did not used to have depression. After the treatment of neurologist in 2013 I became plaque by bad health and depression as well.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Gradually stop all medications.. Avoid triggers. If certain foods or odors seem to have triggered your migraines in the past, avoid them. Reduce your caffeine and alcohol intake and avoid tobacco. In general, establish a daily routine with regular sleep patterns and regular meals. In addition, try to control stress. Exercise regularly. Regular aerobic exercise reduces tension and can help prevent migraines. If your doctor agrees, choose any aerobic exercise you enjoy, including walking, swimming and cycling. Warm up slowly, however, because sudden, intense exercise can cause headaches. Obesity is also thought to be a factor in migraine headaches, and regular exercise can help you maintain a healthy weight or lose weight.
