Hello dr, am 15 weeks pregnant women, I want to know the sleeping positions for this pregnancy time,

MBBS, DGO, MD, Fellowship in Gynae Oncology
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Hello dr, am 15 weeks pregnant women, I want to know the sleeping positions for this pregnancy time,
Hello, The best sleep position during pregnancy is “SOS” (sleep on side). Even better is to sleep on your left side. Sleeping on your left side will increase the amount of blood and nutrients that reach the placenta and your baby. Keep your legs and knees bent, and put a pillow between your legs. - If you find that you are having problems with back pain, use the “SOS” position, and try placing a pillow under your abdomen as well. - If you are experiencing heartburn during the night, you may want to try propping your upper body with pillows. - In late pregnancy you may experience shortness of breath. Try lying on your side or propped up with pillows. Left is best. Right now, side sleeping is safest for your baby. Plus, it's more comfortable for you as your abdomen grows. Is one side of the body better than the other for sleeping? Experts recommend lying on your left side. It improves circulation, giving nutrient-packed blood an easier route from your heart to the placenta to nourish your baby. Lying on the left side also keeps your expanding body weight from pushing down too hard on your liver. While either side is okay, left is best. These suggestions may not sound completely comfortable, especially if you are used to sleeping on your back or stomach, but try them out. You may find that they work. Keep in mind that you may not stay in one position all night, and rotating positions is fine. Also avoid sleeping on your back: This can cause problems with backaches, breathing, the digestive system, hemorrhoids, low blood pressure and cause a decrease in circulation to your heart and your baby. This is a result of your abdomen resting on your intestines and major blood vessels (the aorta and vena cava). Do not sleep on your stomach: When you are farther along in your pregnancy, your abdomen undergoes physical changes and makes it more difficult for you to lay on your stomach.

Depression can happen to anyone  and does happen to one in four of us over our lifetimes.  Different factors that make it more likely to happen include biological make up, upbringing, or reactions to life events. What keeps it going though is how we deal with those things. The way we think and what we do affects the way we feel. Thinking differently: * STOP take a pause, do relaxation breathing. And ask yourself. What I am racing to- is it fact or opinion? Or is it a negative thinking? * Do something different to divert mind from these thoughts * learn Mindfulness activity and breathing * Self hypnosis helps to reinforce positive thoughts and positive self image * Use positive self talk * Engage in a hobby. Most importantly even when one is depressed he is not always experiencing depression. No two moments are same. Look closely. Each moment is new. Focus and enhance happy peaceful moments. Mindfulness breathing helps to break the depressive cycle of thoughts by bringing our attention to current moment.

First of all you need to consult a gynecologist and get your hormonal imbalance treated. Lasers are the best option for hair removal but it's permanent hair reduction and not permanent hair removal. So you would require maintenance sittings even after you have completed the course.

Fatty liver is a disease where some enzyme which secreted from liver increased in blood. Soo there is fatty infiltration in the liver as well as in blood. All you need is to take fat free food, less spicy food. Plenty of fruits and green veg you can take. U need to check your liver function test. And by proper homeopathic treatment you can overcome this situation. Soo you can contact me through Lybrate in private conversation.

Penile increment. How to increase penis size and how to stop premature ejaculation.

BHMS
Homeopath, Sindhudurg
Penile increment. How to increase penis size and how to stop premature ejaculation.
Penis-enlarging exercises like jelqing and kegel exercises can be really helpful for strengthening erections. If done properly, they can strengthen the entire pelvic floor and groin region. They can improve blood flow to the groin region and strengthen it. However, it is not clear if they can offer any tangible increase in penis size and length. If you have been wondering how to increase penis size, all you have to do is take homoepathic penis enlargement treatment for no less than 3 months.. Apart from increasing your penis size, it also helps increase your testosterone production and improves blood circulation to the groin, improving the health of the entire pelvic region and cures premature ejaculation

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. A NIGHT FALL / NOCTURNAL EMISSION / WET DREAM or involuntary leakage is an involuntary ejaculation of semen that occurs during sleep or along with urine while urination. Studies show that approximately 83% of men experience a nocturnal emission or leakage at some point in their lives. There is nothing wrong with a person if he or she experiences a nocturnal orgasm or nocturnal emission or leakage, as they are normal and healthy experiences. If you have experienced a wet dream, you should not feel ashamed. I suggest counseling and sex therapy. Take care.

Keep your spirits high. Lose more weight. For your height, you are still overweight. Oral contraceptive pills can be continued for some more time. Ask your doctor to evaluate you for hyperinsulinemia. You might need a few more drugs to control your hormonal imbalance. Myoinositol- d-chiro inositol along with vitamin D and chromium preparations are available in the market for treatment of PCOD. But the most important management option still remains to be weight loss.

I want to lose some weight but due to busy schedule I do not have time for exercise nd outing what can I do?

B.Sc. - Dietitics / Nutrition, Nutrition Certification,Registered Dietitian
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Delhi
I want to lose some weight but due to busy schedule I do not have time for exercise nd outing what can I do?
You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. For a start please follow: 1.Cut down the excess carbs. If you want to lose weight you should start by avoiding sugar and starch (like bread). A low carb diet reduces your hunger and makes it easier to eat less. And it might even increase your fat burning at rest. 2.Don’t skip meals. Skipping meals will not make you lose weight faster. That strategy backfires because your body thinks food is in short supply, so it slows your metabolism in order to conserve energy. Over time, the result is that when you do eat — even if you consume the same foods as always — your body will be slower to use the calories as fuel, thus creating a backlog of unwanted pounds. 3.Stay hydrated. You've heard it before, and you'll hear it again. That's because drinking 64 ounces of water daily is one of the easiest ways to speed up weight loss. Your body needs water in order to efficiently metabolize stored fat. When you shortchange your supply, you're likely to slow down that process, meaning it's more difficult for you to burn calories. An easy eight glasses a day (at least!) will keep your system running smoothly. 4.Start exercising. Strength training builds lean muscle tissue, which burns more calories — at work or at rest — 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The more lean muscle you have, the faster you'll slim down. How do you start strength training? Try some push-ups or a few squats or lunges. Use your free weights to perform simple biceps curls or triceps pulls right in your home or office. Do these exercises three to four times per week, and you'll soon see a rapid improvement in your physique. 5.Go for an evening walk. An evening activity may be particularly beneficial because many people's metabolism slows down toward the end of the day. Thirty minutes of aerobic activity before dinner increases your metabolic rate and may keep it elevated for another two or three hours, even after you've stopped moving. What that means for you: Those dinner calories have less of a chance to take up permanent residence on your hips. 6.Take adequate rest. You should also make an effort to get enough good sleep, preferably every night. Strive to wake up refreshed of your own accord, independently of the alarm clock. If you’re the kind of person who always gets brutally woken up by the alarm ringing, you might never be giving your body adequate rest. 7.Supplement vitamins and minerals. Nutrient-dense, good food is certainly the foundation of weight loss. But an adequate amount of vitamin D can be difficult to ingest via food. In the case of a lack of sun (such as during the darker months of autumn and winter), it’s wise to supplement for multiple health reasons – and perhaps even for your weight.
