Sir, I have a problem of red eye, when ever I go in sun rays it started become red eye and itching.

Sir, I have a problem of red eye, when ever I go in sun rays it started become red eye and itching.
Hello, Bloodshot eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: Eye dryness Too much sun exposure Dust or other particles in the eye Allergies Infection Injury Eye infections or inflammation can cause redness as well as possible itching, discharge, pain, or vision problems. Other causes of eye redness include Colds or allergies, Acute glaucoma, Corneal scratches: Injuries caused by sand, dust, or overuse of contact lenses. Sometimes, a bright red spot, called a subconjunctival hemorrhage, will appear on the white of the eye. This often happens after straining or coughing, which causes a broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. Most often, there is no pain and your vision is normal. It is almost never a serious problem. Because the blood leaks into the conjunctiva, which is clear, you cannot wipe or rinse the blood away. Like a bruise, the red spot will go away within a week or two. Management: - Try to rest your eyes if redness is due to fatigue or eye strain. No other treatment is needed. - Wash your hands, hold clean water in your hand, keep your eyes closer to the water and dip the eyes by blinking the eyelids frequently in the held water in hand. Repeat it for 3-4 times again. - Avoid watching T.V., working on computer or mobile, reading. - In case there is itching, use a clean napkin or a tissue to wipe the tears and cleaning the eyelids gently. -Wear an UV-rays protected sunglasses while you are out in sun. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe’s Belladonna 30 and Euphrasia 30 - both thrice daily for 4 days. Use Euphrasia Eye drops twice daily. Revert back thereafter.

Hi, I am 17 years old, of course I'm male, My problem is that when I work in pc or any electronic device then I feel a short term pain in my head and falling the tears in my eyes. What I do?

Hi. I have a few suggestions for you regarding the usage of computers. Follow the rule of" 20" this means that every 20 minutes, take a gap of 20 seconds, blink your eyes actively 20 times and focus at an object which is minimum 20 feet away. This will help in relieving your eyes from the continuous strain that is caused due to staring. Staring at the computer continuously causes us to subconsciously blink less than normal. This causes the tear film on the surface of the eye to dry up. The result of this is pain, discomfort, etc. Another suggestions regarding the usage of computers is to maintain a proper posture. The computer must be positioned at the same height as your eye level. The neck should not be inadvertently flexed or extended. Roughly, an angle of 90 degrees should be maintained between your upper body and thighs. Likewise, a similar angle (90 degrees) should be maintained between your lower legs and thighs. Also the angle between your hands and arms should be roughly 90 degrees. This is the healthy ergonomic way of sitting while using a computer. Maintenance of proper posture would help in further relieving the symptoms of eye discomfort and pain. All these suggestions may take a while to sink in and imbibe in your routine. Once followed, they are sure to work wonders for you. Also you could use a preservative free lubricant drop for the eyes (3-4 times a day). This will aid in keeping your eyes moist. Hope my suggestions help you. Take care. Cheers.

Hi, instill 2 drops of euphrasia eye drops (homoeopathic) into the both eyes 2-3 times a day daily for 3 days. It will help in dissolving any minute even dust particle, if any, in the eyes and will also help to reduce the pain and damage done by it.

I see my eyes yellow from last one month. What should I do for my eyes? Please help me.

DOMS, MBBS

I see my eyes yellow from last one month. What should I do for my eyes? Please help me.
Yellow color in eyes is not really a condition, but rather a symptom of other underlying conditions, which could be quite serious. Men, women and children of all ages could experience yellow eyes symptoms, because of different reason. Moreover, yellowing of the eyes symptoms too, could vary, from person to person, based on the causes and depending on the person's overall health, levels of fitness, medical history and so on. At times, people could notice that the white of eyes are yellow, but they have no other symptoms. However, in other instances the yellow color in eyes could be accompanied by other signs and symptoms, like pain, fever, weakness, fatigue and yellowing of the skin on the other parts of the body too. When this happens, people are usually advised to check with a doctor immediately and identify what the possible yellow eyes causes could be. A series of tests would need to be carried out to determine what could have led to the yellowing of the eyes.

After going through your symptoms and history, you might be suffering from Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). It is commonly seen in software engineers or those who use computers/ mobiles/ tabs constantly for a long duration. Here are a certain tips I suggest which you bring relief to your symptoms. 1. Minimize the glare from the screen to an optimum level or use an antiglare coated screens on iPad/ laptops/ desktops/mobiles. 2. Blink frequently. We invariably tend to blink less when focussing on the screen. Make sure you blink frequently so that there is adequate tear secretion and lubrication to the eyes which will prevent dryness and the problems associated with it. 3. To reduce your risk of tiring your eyes by constantly focusing on your screen, look away from your computer/ mobile at least every 20 minutes and gaze at a distant object (at least 20 feet away) for at least 20 seconds. 4.Use cooling glasses to protect your eyes from the radiation from your system. 5. These symptoms tend to aggravate during summer. So you can use lubricating eye drops such as Refrest tears eye drops or Tears naturale forte eye drops which will be available over the counter. I hope these remedies will help you alleviate your symptoms.
