I have some infections around my privet parts and inner thigh. I used fucidin it heals for some days but it again started growing. Now some 1 advised me panderm. Was it OK or not?

LCPS, BAM&S
General Physician, Pune
Your doctor probably is confused about diagnosis. Try a second opinion with a good skin specialist. You probably need a antifungal line of treatment with oral as well as topical supplement only. But a precise diagnosis is possible after actual examination only.

Diet restrictions: for most situations, common sense will tell you what to avoid. Hard, sticky, chewy, and brittle foods and foods high in sugar must be avoided. Hard and brittle foods can break or damage wires and brackets. Broken brackets lead to delays in your treatment progress. Sticky and chewy foods can get caught between brackets and wires. Minimize sugary foods; they cause tooth decay and related problems. Nail/cuticle biting, pencil and pen chewing and chewing on foreign objects should be avoided. Avoid these foods - bubble gum (sugar-free gum is okay), sticky candy, nuts, popcorn, hard breads crust/rolls, pizza crust, apples and carrots (unless cut into small pieces or shredded), minimize sugary foods like: cake ice cream cookies candy try to avoid: soda sweetened tea any drinks with excess sugar.

I am suffering with dust energy. If there is anything solution for this please tell me what medicine can I take?

BHMS
Homeopath,
Dear lybrate user, dust allergy occurs due to the production of histamine in blood. This production of histamine is provoked by the entry of certain foreign substance in our respiratory system through the air we inhale. However if you are suffering from dust allergy from a considerable prolonged time then you should take the following medications:- 1) 5 drops of homoeopathic pyrogen 1000, thrice daily in empty stomach. 2) 30 drops of homoeopathic mother tincture cassia soph q, thrice daily, after meals, in a glass of water.

I am 25 years female. I have asthma problem since last one year. I used serology 250 inhaler for last 2 months but I didn't get rid of problem. Now I am using Aroflo 125 inhaler and brodil HFA inhaler last 2 weeks. Though my breathing problem improve but I don't feel like normal breathing even using emergency inhaler. Should I continue use these or consult with a doctor? I also want to know how many days need to fully recover or normal breathing?

MD - Pulmonary Medicine, fellowship in interventional pulmonology
Pulmonologist, Rajkot
Hi, lybrate-user. See asthma is an allergic disorder & depends on individual's allergic characteristics. How long one should continue inhalers differs in each individual. For asthma control, right inhaler, in right dose, regularly, via right technique is necessary. If you are taking it like that, & still symptomatic, consult a good chest physician to rule out other allergic chest conditions (e. G. Abpa etc.). Do chest xray, pulmonary function test. & then continue medicines regularly, which a chest physician prescribes.

So I consulted a doctor and he gave me some antibiotics and ointment and a soap to take bath with. I used it and the itchy bumps went off in weeks but after 2-3 weeks again the itchy bumps came, so I used that prescribed skin ointment again and since then alternately the problem occurs. And to make sure I didn't have intercourse before this on in between of this, neither I was involved in any intercourse act with a partner.

First kindly undergo your blood pressure check up and ecg to rule out heart trouble as these days young generation is also prone to heart problems. Once these 2 results come normal then we can further rule out other possible problems. You can get back to me after these 2 reports.

Dear Lybrate user. Phimosis is a very common problem. In most of the cases You can clear the problem yourself. Apply oil on your foreskin and on the glans. Move the foreskin forward and back slowly without hurting you much. Because the oil is lubricant, it will be easier than without oil. Do this forward and back movement 20 times several times in a day. Repeat the same every day for around one month. You will get the elasticity and you will be able to retract the foreskin completely. Take care.
