Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight. If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient.---------------------------- 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day you should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. Along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc.------------- 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet.--------- 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories.----- 4. Have a balanced diet.------------ 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.-------------

Exercise 45 minutes every day. There is no replacement for that. Avoid fried, oily food n food high in fats/sugars lose weight.

Hi, thanks for writing in to us. I have read through your query in detail. It looks like there is no problem in your brain if your mri scan is normal. However many people continue to have symptoms of vertigo due to problems in the inner ear. The inner ear contains the vestibular system which participates in maintaining balance and gait. There are tiny hair cells in the ear which are surrounded by fluid. Changes in the characteristics of these hair cells and fluid might give rise to chronic vertigo. Chronic ear infection is also to be tested. Please consult an ent specialist and get test done for vertigo and nystagmus. Hope your blood investigations are normal. Regards,

Keep hair clean. Make sure that your scalp and hair are always clean. It will help your hair grow faster. Dirt clogs the hair follicles, which makes it more difficult for hair to grow. However, do not shampoo every day, as men?s hair get easily damaged, and excessive shampooing can dehydrate hair and cause breakage. Shampoo twice a week while cleanse hair with conditioner daily.

Supplements and medicines work in isolation with diet. To have muscular body you have to be careful about food food choices & protien intake. Include good sources of protein in your diet such ad low fat milk & milk products, soy & sprouts, lean meat, eggs, pulses along with supplements to achieve desirable goals.

Insomnia is a mental condition, which is characterized by a difficulty in falling asleep, even when you have the chance to do so. Hello, as per your description, seems to be alopecia areata. Alopecia areata is a type of hair loss that occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles, which is where hair growth begins. Alopecia areata usually begins when clumps of hair fall out, resulting in totally smooth, round hairless patches on the scalp. In some cases the hair may become thinner without noticeable patches of baldness, or it may grow and break off, leaving short stubs (called" exclamation point" hair). In rare cases, complete loss of scalp hair and body hair occurs. The hair loss often comes and goes-hair will grow back over several months in one area but will fall out in another area. Medication: take homoeopathic medication which is safe to take and you will start getting the results within few days to few months - acid fluor. 200 to be taken twice a day daily for 1 month. Revert back for further guidance. D home remedies: -lavender - an essential oil, since it is so powerful, should be diluted into a base oil before being applied, such as almond or coconut oil. Repeatedly getting Acne. I will apply daily Cleargel cream and Acnil Soap. But daily at least one pimple will be coming up. May be because of this soap or cream I lost my fairness. My skin turned to black now with dot spots after acne.

It takes about 12 weeks to stop totally all the cigarettes and the replacements. If you suddenly quit without getting your nerves to terms, you restart in full vigor within a week. That is how you tried several times. Finding ways of dealing with your tension, happiness and other situation also needed, along with plan of quitting smoking in 12 weeks. Start observing - the craving for smoking comes and goes in waves. If you delay, deep breathe, drink water, distract and discuss (5 Ds) you will observe that craving goes away. That does not mean that it will not come back. But when the craving comes back, you can again do 5 Ds. You will become an expert in it. Reward yourself with some incentives each time you reduce or try quitting. Please connect your quit day to psychologically important day (like birthday of you or your wife or child, wedding day, festival day)
