My 5-year-old daughter has asthma. What is the effect of using an asthma preventer long-term? I heard that using it for years might cause bone shrinkage. Is it true? Are there any vitamins or supplements to help vision?

MBBS
General Physician, Mumbai
If steroids are given orally for long periods of time than only it will cause bone shrinkage but if given through nebulisation than it won't have any side effects

I am suffering from TB. Treatment started And taking Medicine from 7 July. Now can I do sex with my wife?

MBBS, MD

You have completed more than 1 month of TB treatment. If the response is satisfactory then sex should not be a problem. But do not stop TB treatment and follow your doctor`s advice.

You maybe suffering from allergic rhinitis and/or bronchial asthma. You need to avoid the cause of your allergies and also take anti allergy medications. Please consult for prescription. If you have an infection and have fever you will need to do a course of antibiotics. For now do warm saline gargle and steam inhalation 3 times a day. Also will need to do some tests like pulmonary function tests to check if it is anything serious.
