For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Firstly try to reduce your weight. With your age and height maintain your wt between 46 to 50 kg. Start taking calcuum and multivitamins regularly. Your problem will be taken care of.

Advice���. Hot Fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction. Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily Bhujang Asana x 15 timesx twice daily Core Strengthening Exercises. Back Stretching.

My parents have problem of legs because of full day workload. Full day they have to stand in a shop. They have problem of cramps in thighs n calfs in midnight or in the early mornings. And also heel paining. Please give suggestions as workout is not possible some massages or any other. We have our own chemist shop.

Dear user, correct your posture first. Avoid forward bending, heavy weight lifting for few days, wear lumbosarcral belt. Use hard bed when you sleep. Take hot fomentation, apply pain relieving gel on back. Do lumbar spinal extension exercises. Change your position after every 45 minutes. Do it this protocol for 5 days and then revert. Thanks.

I am neurology patient(28yrs) (hmsn+ cidp) now I have difficulty in walking due to kyposis . I want to know that kyposis can be cure by exercise or surgery is the last option.

The difficulty in walking might be because of the nerve weakness or even the wysolone taken over a long period can cause weakness of your legs and difficulty in walking. For the kyphosis approach a physiotherapist who can teach you the write exercises, surgery is possible but because of your neurological condition there is a high possibility it might come back.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to have a persistent back pain as a health issue. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. : keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. My mother is 72 years old. She is suffering from knee pain from last 5/6 years. What should I do?

This could be due to oa knee &/or obesity. Physiotherapy along with medicines will help. Do knee exercises. It may have to be further investigated rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Any way take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.

My mother is suffering from sciatica and nerve compression (disk issue). Doctor has recommended her physiotherapy. She has already take 1 month physiotherapy but there have been no improvement. Last week, she has gone through epidural injection. There is some relief in the pain however still numbness is there is her left leg.

Please note that you need to give her Homeopathic medicines for her complaints Give her Hypericum 30 - 4 times a day 4 pills each time. She needs to do passive movements Physiotherapy needs to be continued - do not run toward total improvement in a month It is a time taking disease and she will feel improvement slowly only.

Hello- white discharge/leucorrhoea is known as shweta pradar in ayurveda and the major cause of it is mal nourishment of the body. Bodyaches are caused due to discharge problem. You have to take proper care of your diet and your sleep to avoid discharge. 1) avoid spicy diet and increase dairy products in your meals. 2) take a sound sleep of at least 9-10 hour a day. 3) use shesham tree leave bark powder and use it 1/2 tsp twice.

Hi you are suffering from plantar fascitis. It has a tendency to recur. So you may have to take physiotherapy or injection once more. Besides wear mcr slippers, take hot fomentation morning and evening.
