I am 23 year male. I am suffering from acne. I feel pain in that acne. My face is dull and has breakouts. Sir, give me suggestion for its treatment. And tell me the time in which it recover .

BHMS
Homeopath,
Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. In order to stop the formation of pimples the aforesaid four causes should be terminated. Now the bitter truth is neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples. You have to continue the medicine for minimum 2 months.

It is more common in men, especially athletes. It can also affect overweight people because they sweat more. The symptoms of jock itch may include itchiness, rash, redness, patches in a shape of a ring and peeling of the skin. You may also feel warmth or burning sensation on the affected skin. Jock itch is not considered to be dangerous condition, but it is unpleasant and bothersome. It is also contagious, so proper treatment is recommended. Natural products like shikakai and amla are better than chemical compositions of manufactured shampoos. *hair fall, dandruff and tendency for gray hair are dependent on several factors. We have good treatment in homoeopathy without causing adverse effects. These medicines are given internally, promote healthy growth of hair and prevent hair fall. Take homoeopathic medicine acid phos 30 twice daily and give feedback after 20 days.

Hi This seems that it is due to excessive secretion of sebum. From your skin, that can not come out properly due to blocked sebaceous duct. You can use calamine lotion. Astringent lotion. Ice compress and antibiotic ointment such as soframycin. Use pure cotton garments. Take bath 3 to 4 times a day.

Doctor I have black patches on my face and neck they become darker time to time I showed to many doctors but nothing worked pls suggest.

My first and foremost advice to you is take plenty of sleep daily. Dark circles could be genetic but they are mostly due to lifestyle and diet disorder. If you work on the screen for a long time, then keep taking breaks in between and splash cold water on eyes 3 times a day. Secondly, include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables especially the source of vitamin C in your diet. Apply Kojic acid based cream only at night and apply sunscreen in the morning.

To maintain the skin health and reduce the dry skin condition, follow this - 1.Bathe with gentle soaps. If possible use some natural ingredients like gramflour, turmeric mixed with some milk to bathe daily. This does not wash your skin off the natural oils. 2.Keep your bath short and do not use hot water to bathe. Use only lukewarm water. 3.Apply Vitamin E oil or warm olive oil on the body after bathing. You can also use a good moisturiser. 4.Cocoa butter mixed with wheat germ oil is also very good at maintaining the skin health. 5.You can mix some oils like – Sesame, olive, virgin coconut oil, wheat germ oil to apply before going to bed. 6.Consume diet that is rich in vitamin E, omega 3 and 6 and other skin friendly vitamins like vitamin E and A. Eat almonds, walnuts, flaxseeds, sesame seeds to maintain skin health. 7.Keep yourself hydrated. Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water to keep your skin soft and supple.

Dermatitis Treatment

MBBS, DDV
Dermatologist, Mumbai
Dermatitis Treatment

There are many types of dermatitis. Symptoms can vary depending on the type of dermatitis you have:

  • Contact dermatitis, caused by exposure to an irritant or allergic reaction, typically shows up as a red, itchy rash that is limited to the area of skin exposed to the substance.
  • Nummular dermatitis, common in people who have dry      skin or live in dry environments, shows up as red, itchy, circular patches of weeping, scaly, or crusted skin.
  • Seborhic dermatitis called cradle cap in infants, causes greasy, yellowish scales on the scalp and eyebrows, behind the ears, and around the nose.
  • Stasis dermatitis causes scaling and swelling of the lower legs. Sometimes ulcerated or open skin appears inside the lower legs and around the ankles.
  • Atopic dermatitis(eczema) can cause extreme, persistent skin itchiness. However, many times, itchiness results simply from dry skin.

Namaste. After hospitalisation for dengue, i have got scalp infection. Symptoms are pin piercing pain, itching, forming small watery pimples which when pinched infects my facial skin. Forms white powderlike and falls on neck and shoulders and gets pigmented. Please help me. Any home or ayurvedic remedies? Is this folliculitis?

Doctor of Homeopathic Medicine (H.M.D.), MD homeopathy
Homeopath, Mumbai
Most likely sounds like folliculitis. What you can do is use a good anti fungal shampoo. Do not burst the pimples. Do not apply oil. Wash your hair daily at least with water and for soothing effect, apply alovera gel an hour prior to wash. If the problem still persist do see a homoeopathic doctor.
