I have problem with bad breath even if go for 2 times brush also please suggest me what I can do to solve this.

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
Bad breath can be reduced or prevented if you: - practice good oral hygiene. - brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. - don't forget to brush the tongue, too. - replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months or after an illness. - use floss or an interdental cleaner to remove food particles and plaque between teeth once a day. - see your dentist regularly -- at least twice a year. He or she will conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and will be able to detect and treat periodontal disease, dry mouth, or other problems that may be the cause of bad mouth odor. - drink lots of water. This will keep your mouth moist. - chewing gum (preferably sugarless) stimulates the production of saliva, which helps wash away food particles and bacteria.

My teeth become black from bottom. The blackening made a lining around every tooth. I have tried many pastes herbal and others. But does work at all. Once I got cleaned my teeth by a dentist but the problem prevails again. Please suggest any solution.

BDS, FICOI, Fellow of Academy of General Education (FAGE)
Dentist, Bangalore
Need to visit nearby dentist, stains needs to be removed only by cleaning, and after cleaning you have to maintain your oral hygiene by brushing twice a day and rinsing mouth when ever it is necessary, if not followed then it will again result in same problem and again same treatment will be required. Changing tooth pastes or using herbal products cannot help to that extent, necessary treatment has to be done.

How to make my teeth look white. It looks pale yellow no matter how much I brush. I brush as usual 2 times a day.

BDS
Dentist, Panchkula
There is a procedure known as bleaching which will whiten your teeth. First scaling and polishing of the teeth is performed followed by bleaching with lasers. Brushing keeps your teeth clean, free from decay and deposits but every person has his/her own natural colour of teeth so you cannot change your teeth colour by brushing but with bleaching we can.

If dentist has suggested root canal, then you should go for it. Root canal is only the way to save your tooth.

There is a gap on left lower jaw after a tooth removed .For new tooth which method is correct.Stitching or fixing by latest technology ?.

MFDS RCPS (Glasgow), MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, BDS
Dentist, Delhi
There are several techniques available to replace a missing natural tooth. I don't know what you mean by "stitching. In any case, dental implants are the most recent advancement in this field, and do have several advantages over other techniques. However, there are drawbacks as well, to each technique. You would have to sit with ur dentist, discuss the pros and cons of all possible options and decide which one suits you the best. Hope this helps.

I have filling in my tooth. Many persons says, if we use filling in tooth, the chemical will slowly goes to stomach and gives problem like knee and bones. Is it true or not? what to do if we dont want to take filling?

B.D.S
Dentist, Jaipur
Hello, it is not true. Filling are done to restore the decayed tooth if you wont get filling, the decaye progression may require root canal treatment which would be expensive as compared to fillings or may be extraction would be the only option left for you. Thank you
