Hair fall occurs due to many reasons. Common causes are hormonal, nutritional deficiences like iron, proteins, vit d, local inflammation in scalp, stress chemical tretment of hair and any systemic illness or medication. Very important to find the cause of hairfall and then treat accordingly. Every patient would have a different reason for hairfall.It would involve correction of the cause using oral medications and applications

Indian foods for healthy hair and scalp

  • Walnuts: Walnuts are rich sources of omega 3 fatty acids which promote the health of hair shaft and hair follicles. They also provide moisture to the scalp and prevent scalp dryness.
  • Beans: Beans have high amounts of silica which is known for preventing hair loss. Silica promotes the absorption of vitamins and minerals in the body. Our hair needs these vital ingredients to promote cell growth. Silica is also found in high percentages in potatoes, green peppers, and cucumbers.
  • Carrots: Carrots are rich sources of vitamin e and vitamin a. Vitamin a promotes good eye sight whereas vitamin e promotes hair health and supports fast hair growth. Vitamin a promotes the synthesis of sebum in the scalp. This sebum keeps the scalp moist and lubricated.
  • Tofu: Soy is a rich source of iron. Iron is a vital mineral that prevents hair loss.
  • Green tea: green tea contains a powerful antioxidant called polyphenols which promote hair health. A cup of green tea on a daily basis not only promotes good health, but it also ensures lustrous healthy hair.

Fried foods or food items that are high in cholesterol and saturated fats should be avoided as these foods can cause an increase in dht levels (a by-product that causes hair loss).

There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium can worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days.

When the melanin (pigment that make skin colour) production loss in a specific area is a cause of vitiligo . There are some instructions and methods which you follow: • Protect the area that has vitiligo from sunlight .You can cover that area with cloth or apply sunscreen lotion /cream on them • Avoid to eat garlic , jaggery (gur) , dry fruits (pista , kaju) . • Eat 3 to 4 leaves of neem daily with water. • Avoid drinking coffee and alcohol in excess . Drink 6 to 8 glass of water daily . •You can take this medicine khadiradi vati one tablet daily once a day .
