This is a psychological disorder seen in children. This is known as attention deficit hyperactive disorder. If not managed & treated well at this age turns to be conduct disorder in future. Homeopathy has best medicines for it. Take hyoscyamus 30/ 1 week. 3 times a day. It is curable through homeopathy. I am consulting homeopath & psychologist specialised to deal with adhd students.

With such a strong family history in both parents, it is very likely that she is also suffering from depression. But you need to provide me complete details of the patients' complaints directly from her, so that we can formulate a treatment for her

Pain in left leg from 20 days it is on back of thigh. Sometime spread over to hips to knee (side)
it could be sciatica. Take one tablet of crocin 500mg 2-3 times daily after food, drink plenty of water and take rest. If no relief, take X ray of lumbosacral spine after consulting orthopedic specialist

For the last 1 year I am addicted to smoking, I take at least three cigarettes a day. Please suggest any solution to stop smoking.

DNB (Psychiatry), DPM, MBBS
Psychiatrist, Mumbai
Smoking cigarettes daily is a behavioural pattern which if suddenly stopped may cause some degree of discomfort. It is really an appreciable gesture to stop smoking some ways to give up smoking 1. Read about tobacco use and benefits of quitting from internet to build up the motivation to quit. 2. Check the mood state or the company or situations where you need to smoke 3. Try using nicotine chewing gums in place of cigarettes. Consult a deaddiction specialist or psychiatrist for further help.

Hi. First, learn to relax your mind! Taking unnecessary tension will stop your brain from functioning normally and it would never ever give you solution to your problem! Homoeopathic medicines are very effective for increasing concentration and if done with yoga, will give you great results! But practice the following poses if you don’t have any medical condition or pregnancy or else take an advice from your concern doctor and then only perform these. 1. Shashankasana: Sit in Vajrasana with hands on the thighs. The upper body is straight and relaxed. Inhaling raise both arms above the head. Exhaling keep the back straight and bend upper body and arms forward from the hips, until arms and forehead touch the floor. The buttocks remain on the heels. Breathing normally remain in this position for a while. Relax the whole body, especially the shoulders, neck and back. Inhaling keep the back straight and raise the upper body and arms. Exhaling return to the starting position. Practice the exercise 3 times in total. Remain bending forward for sometime and consciously perceive the movement of the breath on the spine. 2. Virasana: Sit in Vajrasana. Hands rest on the thighs and the body is relaxed. Bring the left foot beside the right knee with the sole of the foot flat on the floor. Place the left elbow on the left knee and rest the chin in the hand. Right hand rests on the right thigh. Tuck the toes of the right foot under. The right knee remains in contact with the floor. Transfer the weight onto the right heel. Concentrate on a fixed point in front. Breathing normally remain in this position for as long as comfortable. Return to the starting position. Repeat on the other side. 3. Sit in Vajrasana. Body is straight and hands rest on the thighs. Relax the whole body. Inhaling stretch the arms above the head, then bring them behind the back and grasp the left wrist with the right hand. Exhaling bend the body forward from the hips, keeping the back straight, until the forehead touches the floor. The buttocks remain on the heels. Breathing normally concentrate on the whole body and relax. Remain in this position for as long as comfortable. Inhaling slowly bring the body upright. At the same time stretch the arms above the head. Exhaling return to the starting position. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Anacardium 200/ once daily.

From past few days I am suffering from a phobia namely Trypophobia (as described) on the Internet. Some people posted a fake photo on net which contains lot of wholes in our skin with some insects coming out of it. And at present whenever I see small holes in my surrounding, the image struck to my mind and it makes me feel very uncomfortable. It seems to me as if something is moving around my body as soon as the image struck to my mind. Please help me. Thank You.

Dear lybrate user. As you rightly said it is only an irrational fear (phobia), i.e., fear without any fact or proper reason. Trypophobia is not the name of a diagnosis in the American Psychological Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, Fifth Edition (DSM-5). If possible, you can seek the help of skin specialists (Dearmatologists) in your location to gather some knowledge about this condition, because it comes under their domain so that you will come to a conclusion that there is no such problem exists. One more suggestion is, try to find some other kind of internet-made phobia (just to distract you from your current state of mind).

If you had broken up and you are still thinking about her, it only means that you loved this girl very much.If you were not the one to break up with her, then she has played a game and now you have regrets. The clock cannot be turned back again, I suppose. You are pining for her too much and that can be your weakness that she can either exploit or abuse. This means that you might have entered into a symbiosis and her leaving has become life-threatening. That itself might be the reason for the breakup. Girls want a relationship where independence is respected and there is no clingy behavior. You have got to look into this aspect of your personality. Are you becoming too dependent on the girl and therefore demanding, even if it appears that you are protecting her? This is not a welcome feature for a girl to want to maintain this relationship. If she is willfully meeting with your opponents then the message is very clear : she just does not want you! You must therefore develop yourself to become independent and responsible. Maintain respectful distance. There are three important developments in an individual that creates an autonomous personality: intimacy, awareness, and spontaneity. Of these, awareness is of great importance: it will help you know yourself internally and to also make you conscious of other people around you. Such a person is able to meet his needs and that of the other in a balanced manner. You must learn to do this soon. You are still young and have a lot to learn. In fact when you enter college, you will meet many girls and will interact with them. If you resolve the symbiosis, you will do really well. Meet with a counselor and describe your longings, needs and wants, openly. Take your parents along and let them describe your entire life till now and the counselor will get an understanding of your plight. Remove everything that is a reminder of this girl and start working on your development. Demonstrate how you will look after yourself and work on doing that. Learn independence skills and do a personality development course too. You are still so young that when this relationship started you were only 15 years: too young to get serious with any one. And never get serious with anyone unless all the compatibility issues and the adjustability is really well understood and established.
