My mother has breast cancer. Her chemotherapy is going on. It is known to us that during the period of chemotherapy there is a chance of muscle pain. She sometimes suffers from that. My father was detected with localized prostate cancer last year and was followed by a heart attack later. His age is 61 years. He then have to undergo angioplasty with a non-drug eluting stent. Over one year has passed and his Stress test reports are excellent now as per cardiologist. Can he undergo a radical prostatectomy (prostate cancer surgery ) now or it will be risky for him to undergo surgery? Thank you.
Sir, Currently my mom (Age-44) is suffering from Throat cancer Stage-3. After so many Tests and procedures Doctor suggested 2 options. Option 1. Surgery (Total laryngectomy Neck Dissection Gastric pull up. Note Patient will lose her voice permanently. So much pain involved. Option 2. Chemoradistion for 33 sittings. Note:- There might be less cure rate. (My opinion) Options:- Throat Surgery (Voice Box Removal), ChemoRadiation. Currently my plan-1 is to start with option 1 then if not I will go to Option 2. Currently my plan-2 is to start with option 2 (For preserving voice.

Breast cancer is one of the most feared diagnoses in women. When cancerous cells develop in a woman's breast, irregular lumps, changes in the shape or size of the breast and discharge of blood from the nipples may be experienced. There are lots of preventive measures that you can take to avoid breast cancer. It is important to live a healthy life with as less exposure to toxins as possible. Here are some tips and strategies that can lower your risk of breast cancer
- Plant based diet - Studies have shown that a high plant based diet, full of vegetables and fruits, is packed with antioxidants, minerals, and nutrients that lower the risk of breast cancer. Eat light, and avoid refined sugar and processed meat. Try to construct a healthy Mediterranean diet plan rich in olive oil and nuts.
- Maintain an appropriate weight - Do not gain extra weight as obesity and excessive weight gain are related to breast cancer. Cut down on fat and exercise regularly to lead an active life.
- Breastfeeding - If you are a new mom, breastfeed your baby as it has numerous health benefits for both you and your child, including lowering the chances of breast cancer in the mother.
- Sleep - It is important to get 8 hours of sleep every night to live a healthy life. Many studies have shown that a short duration of sleep and exposure to light at night that disrupts the circadian rhythm increases the risk of breast cancer.
- Avoid tobacco and alcohol - Do not smoke as it increases the chances of cancer in other organs and also leads to toxin inclusion in the body. Also, be sure to drink in moderation as excess alcohol consumption is cancer causing offender.
- Artificial hormones - Women during menopause often resort to hormone replacement therapy, and the extended use of this therapy can heighten the risk of breast cancer. Therefore, it is recommended to look for other options to smoothen your transition to the menopausal phase.

Cancer is a fatal health condition which should be avoided at any cost. There are several factors which may lead to different kinds of cancer and prevention is the only way to stay safe. By making some lifestyle changes and altering habits, cancer can be prevented. Here is what all you can do to keep this life-threatening disease at bay:
Stop using tobacco: Using tobacco in any form may increase the chance of cancer in a person. A healthy diet: Including several food items in your daily diet will reduce the chance of cancer. Alcohol should be consumed in moderation as alcohol leads to several types of cancer. You should lessen meat consumption too.
Maintaining a healthy weight and staying physically active: If you maintain a healthy weight, the risks of various cancers such as breast, prostate and lung cancer are reduced. And physical activity is a must to maintain the right weight and fitness. Physical activity provides several health benefits and prevents cancer. Both moderate and rigorous physical workouts are essential.
Protection from the sun: Skin cancer is caused due to overexposure to the sun and its harmful rays. In order to prevent skin cancer, you should avoid going out in the midday sun, the rays of which are very strong. Try to be in the shade while outside and wear loose fitting, light clothes. Cover all exposed areas of the skin, and do not apply excessive sunscreen on your skin.
Immunization: For preventing cancer, you should stay away from several viral infections. For this, you require immunization against a number of infections. Hepatitis B increases the risk of liver cancer and the hepatitis B vaccine can be taken by adults for prevention and by those who undergo risky sexual activities. HPV or the human papillomavirus, a sexually transmitted virus, leads to several cancers such as cervical and genital cancer. The HPV vaccine should be taken in order to prevent such cancers.
Adopt good habits, maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle and take the right vaccines to keep cancer away. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Homeopath.
