Are you suffering from neck pain/ Back Pain or stiffness in back ?

If so, you may have cervical or Lumbar spondylosis.
Do you have tingling, numbness, weakness or pain in shoulders, Back, lower limbs & arm or hand?
If the answer is yes, then you may also have cervical / Lumbar radiculopathy.
Cervical / Lumbar spondylosis is the general term for age-related wear and tear (osteoarthritis) of the vertebrae and discs in the Spine . It is a common problem starting in the 30’s that develops to affect more than 90% of people older than 65.
When the wear and tear from the spondylosis pinches nerves leading to the arms /legs causing pain or numbness,
it is then called cervical / Lumbar radiculopathy.
Please must take traditional & result oriented, Ayurveda & Panchkarma treatment therapies before any Surgery for these problems
Are you looking for a safe and reliable treatment then Arogyam Ayurveda is for you.

What exactly is a spine block injection? Will it work long-term for low back pain due to disc problems?

Fellowship in Shoulder and Knee Surgeries, DNB (Orthopedics), Diploma In Orthopaedics (D. Ortho), MBBS
Orthopedist, Nagpur
Dear Sufail. I have read your question and understand your concern regarding spine block injection. It is usually called as nerve root block. This injection is given at the level of nerve root sometimes in facets also called as facetal block. Need for injection depends upon symptoms in patients and clinical findings, MRI pictures. Root block has long term excellent results if given by expert with appropriate selection of patient. It may not work in extensive damages.

Dear sir/mam, I have a cervical neck pain from past 10 months. Some of my colleagues is suffering from same problem. What should I do? Will correct posture would help or please consult me a good doctor.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

Dear, *Sleep with a cervical pillow. *Sleep on your back. Sleeping on your back is the best position to let your entire spine rest comfortably. If you prefer to sleep on your side or on your stomach, make sure your pillow is not too high-around 4 to 6 inches thick. This will prevent your head and neck from turning unnaturally to either side. *Position your computer screen at eye level. *Stay hydrated. The discs between the vertebrae in the spine are made mostly of water. Sip water throughout the day to stay hydrated, keeping the discs pliable and healthy. Ideally, try to drink 8 large glasses of water a day Maintain proper posture. Poor posture can cause neck pain by straining muscles and ligaments that support the neck, resulting in injury over time. *The head-and-shoulders-forward posture is the most common example of poor posture that contributes to neck pain. This occurs when the neck slants forward, placing the head in front of the shoulders. This posture causes the upper back to slump forward as well, placing a strain on the entire spine.

Hello. I have a bad pain in my knees. Im not able to stand even. I hv slip disc too. Doc. Need your help.

Physiotherapist, Noida
Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

My hands shiver very much while performing day to day activities. This problem has been started from 3 years back. What should I do?

MD - Psychiatry, MBBS
Psychiatrist, Patna
Dear at this age shaking of hand may be due to anxiety or excessive alcohol use or thyroid disorder. Get tsh, t3, t4 done, stop alcohol if abusing. If you feel yourself worried always, can not relax, have dry mouth, palpitation, excessive sweating, churning sensation in stomach, dizziness etc then you may be suffering from anxiety. Treatment of anxiety with medicines may also cure this shaking of hands.

Hi, my mother is 60 year old and is sufferring from a type - 2 since 15 years. She has severe knee pains since four years. Kindly advice.

MD - Medicine
Rheumatologist, Gurgaon
Good evening considering her age, it looks more of an osteoarthritis. However with diabetes it is neccessary to rule out other forms of arthritis as well. A examination would be helpful. If not possible, you can post a picture of the x ray of both knees (standing once). Avoid strong pain killers as it can harm the kidneys with diabetes as background.

No 1: Rotator Cuff Isometrics Basic isometric exercise is too often overlooked and underused. This is a shame as I find it very effective in reducing a lot of shoulder pains in many people that it rightly deserves my No 1 spot despite them being perceived as boring and simplistic nature. Although recently they are gaining some popularity and credibility again. Isometric exercises for those non therapists reading, is when a muscle/tendon is asked to contract but there is no movement of the joint and so no change in the length of the muscle/tendon, just like when you flex your pecs and biceps in the mirror after a shower… No! just me that does that then, ok moving on…! In my clinic I see a lot of people with acute shoulder pains brought on usually after an increase in activity, sport or training and most I beleive have a reactive cuff tendinopathy. Most of these shoulders have quite high pain levels for the first few weeks and we know that isometrics are great for reducing pain (source) and they do produce some significant forces and tension in the cuff, so can be thought of beginning the needed loading program. There are lots of variations and I don't think it matters too much how you do them, it's more important how hard and how much you do them, more on this in a bit. The isometric exercises I usually give are a Back of the hand Wall Press' used when I suspect a more superior cuff tendinopathy, it's done simply by standing next to a wall and pressing the back of the hand into the wall in the scapular plane (called Scaption) at approx 30° of abduction.

Urologist, Kolkata
Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. I am not prescribing any medicines depending only on the symptoms. If these steps does not give relief in 4-5days, contact near by.
