Dear, as you said you had tear in acl. But now you feel no pain. Therefore the ligament that injured that time has healed now. So there is no need of surgery now. You should follow these instructions to get fast recovery - 1. You can do only light and simple execises. Do normal walk. If you want to walk fast then first wear knee supporting knee cap before walk. 2. Do not run. As running can give you sudden jerk to the ligament and the pain will start that makes you feel uncomfortable. So do not give sudden jerk to legs. 3. If you are overweight then follow the diet plan to weight loss that makes the load less on your knee joints and makes you feel light. 4. Follow the simple bending of knee joint exercise for strengthing of leg muscle. 5. In future, if you feel difficulty in walk, then you should opt the surgery for the repair of ligament. Surgery is necessary only in that condition when you feel increased pain and difficulty in movement of joint.

Avoid long sitting, standing toward bending. Sit straight maintain your posture do stretching exercise in daily routine and heat fermentation with rest time.

I am a 54 years old male, taking daily evion 400mg on doctor friends advice to prevent muscle cramps. If I do not take for 2 to 3 days that medicine, at the time of getting up iam having muscle cramps in legs. Is there any permanent cure for this.

You may be having low vitamin d or calcium. So get your vitamin d levels done fasting and start calcium supplements. If you are on cholesterol lowering drugs, then they are also a cause of cramps. Low vitamin b12 levels can also sometimes cause cramps so get that tested in your blood as well. Revert back with investigations.

I am 70 years old. For the fast two years, I suffer from pain in my knee. I am takingnutrilite glucosamine hci with bosswellia and cal mag d - an amway products. I can I take these medicine for four months and there is properties in these drugs to reduce my pain in long run.

Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Also press your palm with your finger tips in both hands. Consult after 10 days.

. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily .Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. .Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana ? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. Inform after 10 days for further guidance.
