My son is 4 years old . He has cavity in his jaw what should I do ?

As he is just 4 years old, you should make it a point to see if he brushes his teeth properly. Remember he should brush his teeth after sticky foodstuffs such as chocolates. Inculcate the habit of toothbrushing at night, before going to bed. The dental cavity can be treated by a filling or RCT depending on the extent & related pain if any. So visit a dentist for the needful. But always remember - "Prevention is better than cure" Regards.

Scaling does not cause harm. It has transformed the teeth of many people who were in need of it and their teeth and gums became much healthier as all the accumulated dirt was removed which cannot be done by just brushing. So if the spot on your teeth can be removed by scaling and if the dentist you visit suggests that you need it you can go for it without any fear. If your teeth have deposits it will definitely make them better and healthier. If you also maintain oral hygiene well after a scaling its effects will be much better.

Filling your stomach full before the rct is surely a good idea because the process sometimes takes as long as 3 hours.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months.Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

Hi,
I have sensitivity problem in my teeth. Everytime I take some cold thing or sweet, my tooth aches. Can you please...
Tooth has three layer. When outermost layer is removed by any reason then 2nd layer get exposed and start to sensitivity like cold food substance. It will get cured by applying sensitivity tooth paste like sensodyne and other. It will take 10-15 days to cure. Apply on all tooth surface left for2-5 mints. Then brush with regular tooth brush. If it is not cured by then then contact to me. Or check for any cavity and get it restored.

Don't keep that place empty because nearby teeth will start moving and will close the gap and you will face biting and jaw problem. U can go for dental bridge means artificial teeth unit. Its like cap only but requires support of two adjacent teeth. If u can afford implant is the best option for you that will cost you around 30k
