I am a teenager 21 year old, and I am suffering with sleepless nights. I can't sleep until it is 3-4 at night. I am very tired of this. Please help me.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, there are two types of insomnia: primary insomnia and secondary insomnia. Primary insomnia: primary insomnia means that a person is having sleep problems that are not directly associated with any other health condition or problem. Secondary insomnia: secondary insomnia means that a person is having sleep problems because of something else, such as a health condition (like asthma, depression, arthritis, cancer, or heartburn); pain; medication they are taking; or a substance they are using (like alcohol). Sleep plays a vital role in good health and well-being throughout your life. Getting enough quality sleep at the right times can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety. In children and teens, sleep also helps support growth and development. The damage from sleep deficiency can occur in an instant (such as a car crash), or it can harm you over time. For example, ongoing sleep deficiency can raise your risk for some chronic health problems. It also can affect how well you think, react, work, learn, and get along with others. Management: here are five tips everyone can use to help improve the quality of their sleep: keep your bedroom cool and dark put away/turn off all electronic devices while preparing for bedtime stick to a regular bedtime and wake time every day, even on weekends stop drinking caffeine by the early afternoon and avoid large late-night meals skip the late-afternoon nap, as it can make it harder to sleep at bedtime avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Do regular exercise. Go for a brisk walk in the morning. Medication: take schwabe's bacopa monierri 1x/ thrice daily and kali phos./ once daily at night for 1 month.

Hi Dr. My girlfriend is not happy with me in bed as I am suffering me premature ejaculation problem as I cannot control my orgasm for 10 min as a result she kept on forcing me to increase the time with her in bed. Can you help me to increase my ejaculation so that I can kept her happy and satisfy.

PhD Human Genetics
Sexologist,
You are not alone in Premature ejaculation (PE). It is the most common male sexual problem, occurring in more than 40% of men of all ages. It’s much more frequent among younger men as their sexual energies are at very high levels. Similarly PE is also common when they are new to sexual experience or when the sex partner is new. Whatever the causes, Premature ejaculation understandably is distressful, and may lead to low sexual self-esteem, marital distress or discard. But the good news is it can be overcome through natural methods as well as through medicines. It can be done by first evaluating the patient’s situation and physical, psychological, sexual, and relationship factors and then offering the appropriate solution. Besides, sexual satisfaction does not depend just on the time you last intercourse, but more on the love techniques you employ.

My mom has a guilty on upper side of forehead. I want to know is there any side effects or harmful tumors. Pls help me.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Clarify the question, do you mean a swelling or protuberance or enlarged lymph nodes. Forehead as such do not have any lymphatic nidus ,probaby on forehead lipoma (soft and slippery swelling) ,lipomatous cysts (wen) or other degenarative cysts are found, these are all innocuous and are generally benign (harmless) growth (tumor). Still following observation needs confirmation 1-duration of the swelling 2-is it still growing 3-any discharge or pain in swelling or any itching. Patient medical history, age and family history of tumors or cancer will be important. Description you have given do not convey any sinister consequence but still you may meet any qualified doctor or general surgeon. Good luck.

I cant sleep at night. I don't get sleep until its 6.30am. I am 20 year old male.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Getting in sync with your body’s natural sleep-wake cycle—your circadian rhythm—is one of the most important strategies for achieving good sleep. If you keep a regular sleep schedule, going to bed and getting up at the same time each day, you will feel much more refreshed and energized than if you sleep the same number of hours at different times. This holds true even if you alter your sleep schedule by only an hour or two. Consistency is vitally important. Set a regular bedtime. Go to bed at the same time every night. Choose a time when you normally feel tired, so that you don’t toss and turn. Try not to break this routine on weekends when it may be tempting to stay up late. If you want to change your bedtime, help your body adjust by making the change in small daily increments, such as 15 minutes earlier or later each day.

I am 22 years old, I have suffering from fungal infection from 2 years it affected my both foots nail and skin also affected my both hands skin and nails. I have used many medicines and many other cosmetic products, but not relief from any medicines. So tell me how I free from this problem.

MBBS, MD - MD- Skin & VD
Dermatologist, Ahmedabad
Hi, fungal infection usually responds to medical treatment. However, in some cases, it takes a long time before it completely heals. Diagnosis of fungal infection is through evaluation of the skin scrapings. If this turned out positive, it is a fungal infection, and nothing else, unless there is superimposed bacterial infection. It is important to keep the area clean and dry. Avoid touching or scratching to prevent spread and secondary infection.
