Common causes of back pain are prolonged sitting, especially in bad posture, injury to back during certain activities and lack of regular exercise. You should try some physiotherapy and learn about proper posture. Control weight and do some back strengthening exercises. Medicines are for temporary relief only. If pain persists then you need to visit a spine surgeon for complete clinical evaluation.

Hello. Please provide the reason of pain. As you said you have undergone medical treatment .so what was the diagnosis. Do fulfill the needs of calcium vitamin D and other minerals and vitamins.(proper diet + supplements if needed) Do regular exercise. Few post might help you in some way. Regards!

Get your vitamin and calcium levels checked. Eating fresh fruits will help. You can take simple analgesics. Physiotherapy will be good for your knees. If the pain persists see an orthopedic surgeon.

Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Physiotherapy and chiro give a kind of massage, exercises etc. That's good. Experience will tell how much benefit you got. However pl take decoction of dashmoola twice a day with Erand sneh20 ml put in it at night for two weeks.

A pain in the neck or back can restrict movements and hamper your lifestyle. These are both common pains that may or may not be a symptom of a more serious illness. Neck pain can be caused by a number of factors including stress, whiplash, inflammatory infections, mechanical disorders and metabolic disorders. The main causes for a backache are vertebral column diseases, spinal cord infections, abnormal posture, heavy lifting etc.

Homeopathy is one of the most holistic forms of treatment that can be used to treat pain in the neck or back. Homeopathic treatment has no side effects and is based on individual mental and physical symptoms showcased. Homeopathy do not address the pain itself but treats the underlying cause thus ensuring that it does not recur.

Some common homeopathic remedies for neck pain and backaches are:

  1. Calcarea flour: This is used to treat pains that arise from the hardening of cervical glands. Such pain tends to deteriorate in cold weather and worsens when the patient is lying down. Heat can be soothing to such backaches and neck pains.
  2.  Bryonia: This is used typically to treat backaches that are worsened by any movement and for a stiff back. This sort of back ache is often relieved by resting or lying on a hard surface.

  5. Hypericum: This is a useful homeopathic remedy for compressed injuries and nerve pain. It can be used to treat back aches caused by disc compression, canal stenosis, myelopathy and radiculopathy. Hypericum can also be used to treat jerking muscles.
  6. Kali carb: If your back feels weak and you experience sharp pains, Kali carb may be help alleviate your pain. Such pain is usually associated with a burning sensation and causes excessive sweating. Kali carb is also suited to treating backaches during pregnancy. You can also take the package for Reducing Joint/Muscle Pains.

Along with medication, try maintaining a good posture to help reduce neck pains and backaches. Avoid lifting heavy weights and travelling long distances. I am suffering from back pain on my lower side. The moment I squat for 15 minutes or more I am unable to straighten myself immediately and feel pain. Thereafter when I straighten my back after a minute i am back to normal until I do the sitting posture again.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I was operated for koch's spine (T8-T10) with paraplegia 6 months ago still unable to lift my back or able to sit but slight improvement in legs movements whom should I consult for second opinion or can also suggest good rehab centre.
