5 Remedies for Oily Hair

Oily hair can kill the entire effort a person invests in looking good on a special day. It is hard to style oily hair. Excess oil can also lead to skin problems. Facial acne or pimples are often caused due to an oily scalp. Cribbing about the problem is of no use. The best way to deal with oily hair is to see a dermatologist at the earliest possible. Following a few home remedies could help you control excess oil.

Ways to deal with oily hair:

  1. Aloe Vera can work wonders- Aloe vera when used in combination with a mild shampoo and a spoonful of lemon juice can remedy oily hair. A concoction, such as this should be used as many times a person shampoos his or her hair. Washing your hair with aloe vera for three weeks at a stretch can give you desired results. Aloe vera can also be used as a conditioner. A mixture of fresh aloe vera gel and apple cider vinegar, when applied on wet hair, conditions hair while removing greasiness. 
  2. Use some lime juice- Lime or lemon juice has effectively treated excess oil and dandruff since ages. It can be used without much hassle. Lemon contains citric acid that treats sticky hair and also fights bacterial infections. It is important to wash your hair after the juice has been absorbed into your scalp.
  3. Rinse your hair with tea- The benefits of tea leaves are just too many to list. While drinking tea improves your biological health, rinsing your hair with tea can condition hair ends like nothing else. Apply tea liquor when it is lukewarm; tea leaves act as an astringent in treating oily scalp. This is due to the presence of tannic acid in tea.  
  4. Shampoo thrice a week- Shampooing your hair every alternate day can prevent oil accumulation in the pores of the scalp. Sebum and dirt make a person have sticky and oily hair. Washing regularly will rid you of the dirt; the hair remains fresh and clean. Light massaging in the shower can also improve blood circulation in a person's scalp. 
  5. Do not rub or scratch your scalp- There are people who love moving their fingers through their hair. This is a bad habit as it leads to more oil secretion. Scratching your scalp from time to time or drying the scalp too vigorously can also act as a deterrent in controlling oil secretion.

I am facing erectile dysfunction. I am a Virgin and I can't seem to get full erection to have sex. I have failed 5 times with different partners in past 3 years. At first I thought Its physiological, but now I can't get full erection even while masturbating. I masturbate once a day before going to sleep. Hi, my son's age is 1.5 yr. He was suffering from periodic fever (as per doctor) which was recurrent for 2 months and was coming every alternate week. Now he is ok but in the due course we have done some tests of cbc, crp, mp dual antigen and urine re & culture. Urine test is ok with a scanty bacteria shown. Blood test is ok hb is 12.6 and the other components are ok only the concern is that the rbc is a bit small. Doctor prescribed iron tonic for 6 months. My question is is this a concern for having rbc a bit small? as doctor said to keep in observation for sometime. My baby is active with no weight loss or growth hamper till date. Please advice. The periodic fever syndromes' (also known as autoinflammatory diseases or autoinflammatory syndromes) are a set of disorders characterized by recurrent episodes of systemic and organ-specific inflammation. Unlike autoimmune disorders such as systemic lupus erythematosus, in which the disease is caused by abnormalities of the adaptive immune system, patients with autoinflammatory diseases do not produce autoantibodies or antigen-specific t or b cells. Instead, the autoinflammatory diseases are characterized by errors in the innate immune system. The syndromes are diverse, but tend to cause episodes of fever, joint pains, skin rashes, abdominal pains and may lead to chronic complications such as amyloidosis. Most autoinflammatory diseases are genetic and present during childhood. The most common genetic autoinflammatory syndrome is familial mediterranean fever, which causes short episodes of fever, abdominal pain, serositis, lasting less than 72 hours. It is caused by mutations in the mefv gene, which codes for the protein pyrin.

Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. I am sending the diet chart. Follow it in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid soft drinks, western fast food (burgers, french fries, pizza etc. They disturb your digestion. 6. You can try protein powders like endura mass, milk powder, soya protein. And creatinine for weight gain by taking 1 tea spoon added in milk once a day.

*To control the oily secretion you should maintain your hormonal level. Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive oily secretion on face. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging. Do long breathing pranayams daily for 10 minutes. • Drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. My 3 years old daughter does want to eat non -veg food. Always she wants to eat some spicy food. She wants chicken in her every launch or dinner. She doesn't like Dal, sabji etc. It is not good for her health, isn't in Dr? Can I give LIVSAVE KIDS to protect her liver? Please give me suggestion.

Unprotected sex without condoms with a partner who allegedly may have multiple sexual partners an be potentially dangerous. In simple words you cannot neglect the possibility of having a sexually transmitted disease. Consult a doctor personally, get examined and investigated to rule out the same.

I am 24 years old female and I have a lump in my left breast 'fibredenoma' of size 2.5*2.5*1.5 and it pains a lot even if I am not having my periods. According to some doctors, fibroadenoma are painless. Is this possible that fibroadenoma are painful? What should I do?

Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. In fact, fibroadenoma of the breast, as has been diagnosed in your case, is a benign condition. Though fibroadenomas are usually not painful, they could be sensitive to touch. Often women find it tender couple of days before the menstruation begins. For pain, you may apply an alternating heat and cold treatment for couple of minutes that may alleviate the same. Gently massaging the breast (s) with little bit of a mixture of frankincense, sandalwood and lavender oils can help too. You may as well consider applying 'phytolacca decandra' oil topically for easing off breast pain. However, you need to exercise caution and stop further application should your skin be allergic to the same or you get any burning sensation. Simultaneously, do follow a streamlined and balanced diet (preferably Mediterranean) & regular lifestyle with due emphasis on regular exercise, stress reduction aFor any query if you wish you can take appointment. Dr. Saksena.nd relaxation. You can take 'Amla Churna' (Patanjali) & 'Bael Churna (Patanjali- 1/2 tsp each with warm water, preferably before lunch daily for next 1 month. Green tea is an exception though. Stay well hydrated and have at least 8 - 10 glasses of clear fluids through out the day. Again, its very important that the fibroadenomatoid changes be monitored regularly for increase in size/ shape/ hardness, if any, and the OB/ GYN consulted apropos and follow his/ her advise without fail. The cause for fibroadenoma may have a genetic link or it may be also due to hormonal imbalance. If, its owing to an estrogen imbalance, your OB/ GYN is the right person to advise further diagnostics and treat this condition suitably. Hope this helps. Do take care and all the very best.

Knock knee or genu valgus is difficult to correct with any brace. Abnormal position of feet can also cause this you can also try some corrective exercise with the help of good physio.

Hello doctor, I'm on fertility treatment in between I have done hsg and FTC for blocked tubes before the test my menus use to come for 40 days. After hsg I was diagnosed with PCOD. Now I'm 18th day still my follicle size on left ovary is 11.9 and right 11.4 .please suggest there is a chance of growing follicle size and proper ovulation could happen and moreover I have taken 50 mg clomid + 75iu +75 it of fsh. I'm not getting periods regularly on my own .please suggest I can get pregnant or not. My age is 30 so worried.

Hi, to avoid cramps or sprains in winters, always protect the body by wearing good warm clothes to keep the body warm, keep yourself well hydrated even in winters one should have at least 8-10 glasses of water in a day, intake of balanced, healthy diet is important, do regular exercise which keeps muscles and body fit and free of any problem.
