Hi lybrate-user, There is no magic diet which will help you reduce your tummy fat specifically. If you want to target specific area of body fat, you have to indulge in esistance training and cardio mix exercises. It is advisable that you take advice from a gym instructor.

I am 61 years and am obese weigh 100kg. And 5.7" Is it safe for me to have this surgery or is there some other way I can loose weight. I have suffered a minor stroke last year and a minor heart attack about 13 years back. I have 7 dislocations in my back! rest, I am fine!

Try loosing weight by diet, otherwise go for surgery, remember every surgery carries some risks. Doctors cannot recommend many exercises, you need to eat healthy with lots of seasonal fruits and vegetables, little fats, less carbs but more proteins like toned milk.

Loosing 30 kg weight in 3 months is not healthy plus it will be difficult to sustain it even if achieved. Aim for gradual weight loss with improved fitness.

Gh protein and low carbohydrate diet will be useful. Take 6-7 small meals rather than 3 big meals. Avoid sweets, fried foods, fast foods like pizzas, burgers, fried mixtures, cookies, maida biscuits etc. Have a high fibre diet like whole grain/multigrain chappatis/brown/multigrain bread, green leafy vegetables, whole pulses, full fruits (instead of fruit juices. In vegetables avoid potato, yam, colocassia, in fruits avoid mango, banana, cheeku, avocado (butter fruit)

First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15 minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised. * you can take medohar guggalu 1 tablet daily for quick weight loss but only under the guidance of ayurveda expert.

Reduce carbs intake and take more of proteins in your diet. Eat more of soups, salads, baked, grilled and roasted options in your diet. And workout in home only by doing manual exercises if you dont want to go out. Have dry fruits,coconut water for glowing skin. And drinks lots of water

For weight loss you should be avoiding all packed and market foods, take less cooked food, avoiding all kinds of stuff having white sugar, reduce intake of milk and milk products, increase intake of fruits, raw vegetables, nuts, seeds and sprouts. All the best.

I am 35 year old woman. Unable to control weight. Don' t have thyroid. My metabolism is slow and skin is loose. What should I do?

Take more soups salads and vegetables. Whats your weight? what do you mean by slow metabolism? can you explain? loose skin can be tightened by massaging oils. Avoid ghee oil butter cheese sugar papad peas potatoes pickles and milkproducts. Maida stop completely. Fried no no.

I am diagnosed with tb 8 month ago I completed the treatment now feel much better but due to ide effect of drugs I gained 10 kg weight and become 90 kg n my bp is around 138/85 140/90 I think I overweight and reached the boundary line of high bp. What is your suggestion for normalizing my bp and weight and stay active for further life.

For reducing weight and keeping it from regaining, you should eat very less outside, packed and processed food, should not be more than 10% of total intake. Reduce intake of rice, wheat & milk based food, should not be more than 30-40% of total intake. Have lower intake of sugar, oil & salt. Increase intake of natural food, should be more than 50% of total intake - like fruits, vegetables, nuts & seeds & lentils. For normalising bp, take green leafy vegetable in different forms. With this formula you will reduce weight and will never regain.
