Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening, whitening (bleaching) procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

My father have problem in her mouth. He can not eat spicy things because he is so irritated by his mouth.

BHMS
Homeopath, Bangalore
As you haven't explained clearly of what is extact problem, as there's irritation from spicy foods I think its mouth uclers or redness in mouth, just take homoeopathic medicine borax 200 4pills 4 times 4 days. It ll give relief n give him lots of water n lime juice 3 times in a week n try giving him few cumin seeds to chew for 15 mins. It ll reduce the ulcers or redness.

I had inguinal hernioplasty on my right side four years ago. Now I have started going gym. I sometime feel pain inside like a toothache and sometimes it feels cold like something is draining inside? What could be it, is it due to I am loosing fat? Or internal bleeding or hernia again. I do not feel any bump but I may be wrong? What test can be done to ensure everything is good inside.

Hi lybrate-user, hernnioplasty is a procedure in which surgeon uses a mesh which is placed either under or over the defect in the abdominal wall and held in place by a few sutures. Mesh acts as "scaffolding" for new growth of a patient's own tissue, which eventually incorporates the mesh into the surrounding area. It moves when the patient moves to provide you more comfort. Since there is no bump, you have nothing to worry about. I would suggest not to do any exercises which puts pressure on your groin. If you still want to be sure, you can get an USG lower abdomen done. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Use Of Digital Smile Design in Dentistry

Use Of Digital Smile Design in Dentistry

While there are people who care too much for their hair and skin, they do not realize that the most important aspect of beauty lies elsewhere. Ask any artist and the most beautiful thing, according to most of them, would be a good, warm, heartfelt smile. It connects two people as nothing else can.

And if anybody has had a bad time, a warm, genuine smile is the best curve that sets a lot of things straight.

Given its artistic, emotional, and cosmetic value, there are people who have defined how the perfect smile should be and how to achieve that. Some of the aspects leading to a good smile are:

  1. Shape of the teeth
  2. Size of the teeth
  3. Contour of the jaws
  4. Angle formed by the lips when they open up during a smile
  5. Proportion between width of the eyes
  6. Distance between the eyes
  7. Width of the mouth

Not all of these can be modified, but there are small changes, which can be made, thereby improving your smile significantly.

Dentists and dental lab technicians who create and form artificial teeth realized this. One such person, Mr. Christian Coachman, a ceramician, developed this concept of digitally designing a smile to ensure it produces the best results. He was involved in making ceramic crowns and chanced upon this idea. It involves the following:

  1. A series of digital images (photos and videos) of the patient are taken.
  2. They are transferred to the computer and the abovementioned features are analyzed.
  3. Features like the angle of the mouth, the size of the teeth, etc. are manipulated to see what would produce a good smile.
  4. A smile with better dimensions is created.
  5. A second opinion is sought from multiple other cosmetic dentists (a badly designed smile can be catastrophic!!).
  6. These inputs are incorporated and a smile is then digitally produced.
  7. The patient is shown these images and changes (if any) are made.
  8. The smile is reconstructed and a trial is conducted.
  9. Final processing is then done.

Benefits:

This multidisciplinary team approach produces very good results and the benefits include the following:

  1. Trials can be done before finalizing on a smile.
  2. Patients have the liberty to alter and choose a smile that suits their face.
  3. It improves the cosmetic value of a person.
  4. It improves feelings of self-esteem and confidence.
  5. No special equipment is required as it is mostly done with whatever equipment is already available in the dental office, except for a good camera.

Given its major impact on both the beauty and the psychological aspects, DSD is gaining more popularity and is being sought by patients, who feel they can smile right!!

Hi. I got infection in my tooth. Its been 3 years I was feeling sensitivity and it was getting increase with time. Now a days I am feeling pain in that tooth. Do I need rct? Can I smoke during the period of treatment?

Hi. I got infection in my tooth. Its been 3 years I was feeling sensitivity and it was getting increase with time. No...
Hello, lybrate-user. First thing I would like to tell you and others is that dental problems are not cured by medicines. You will always need to undergo dental treatments when the cause is decay, fracture or plaque/calculus. Your history suggests infection, but without pics or doing inspection, its hard to know the cause. Still, if the tooth has decay n its not mobile then go for the root canal treatment as it would save your tooth and restore the functionality. Secondly, when tooth has pus at the end of the root due to infection, its better to avoid any type of heat to the local area either in form of hot massage, hot water gargles, or even smoking. Heat may spread the infection to other spaces leading to swelling. Smoking leads to interdental bone loss and your teeth become mobile. Most importantly, it may cause cancer. I hope this information would help you.

Importance Of Healthy Gums

Our heart is very much related to gums health because bacterias forming plaque gets entry into bloodstream through unhealthy gums and can form clot in circulation of blood. So keep your gums healthy and regularly visit your dentist.

Hello sir I'm brushing my teeth twice a day but a yellow color layer form on my teeth.
Please correct the method of brushing. Twice a day after meals esp breakfast and dinner is good. Yellow color layer means plaque is deposited. Take salads after finishing meals Don't eat between meals. Learn brushing from a dentist. It may be the most valuable lesson.
