FMAS, MS

Respected, hi practically no remedy is definite for your query. Just apply your inner sense to love your husband at peak through all your senses as that is not only dependent on texture of breast at all. Thanks regards.

COMPLEX THICK WALLED OVARIAN CYST. Please I was diagnose with a complex thick walled ovarian cyst. Could this be ovarian cancer? How can I handle this cos my heart is popping out of my body. Please anyone with similar case?

M.Ch - Surgical Oncology, MS - General Surgery, MBBS
Oncologist, Delhi
COMPLEX THICK WALLED OVARIAN CYST.
Please I was diagnose with a complex thick walled ovarian cyst. Could this be ovar...
Yes, this may have cancer. Please get a ca 125 and cect abdomen and pelvis and consult a surgical oncologist or gynaec surgeon at the earliest. You need to get that ovary removed to assess the exact nature of that cyst. Please get operated at a place, with frozen section facility, so that a decision may be taken during the surgery. If it is cancer and you have completed your family, then you may need to get both ovaries and uterus removed, alongwith surgical staging for ovarian cancer.

Hie doctor. I was in a relationship for more den seven years. I am getting married to another guy. I want to operate vagina as it has expanded very much also my breasts are sagging. Please suggest some medicines n olso doctor for a check up.

M. Ch. (Plastic Surgery), MS - General Surgery, MBBS
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Noida
You will need both vaginoplasty (making vagina tighter and smaller) along with hymenoplasty. This is safe and there are no scars out side, after some time no-one can identify. Mere hymenoplasty can not tighten roomy vagina. You can consult a plastic surgeon.

Ovarian Cancer - 8 Factors that Increase Your Risk!

MBBS, MS
Gynaecologist, Kolkata
Ovarian Cancer - 8 Factors that Increase Your Risk!

The cancer of the ovaries is known as ovarian cancer. In women there are two ovaries present on each side of the uterus. These ovaries are as big as an almond in size and produce egg also known as ova. They also secrete the hormones progesterone and estrogen.

Ovarian cancer goes undetected until it spreads to the abdomen and pelvis. When detected at this stage then it might be fatal and the treatment gets difficult. An early stage ovarian cancer where the cancer is restricted in the ovaries is much easier to treat with high success rates.

Risk Factors of Ovarian Cancer

1. Age - With increasing age the risk of ovarian cancer is higher and is more common in women who are 60 and above. It is less common in women below 40 years of age and develops often after menopause.
Obesity Women who have a body mass index of 30 are at a risk of developing ovarian cancer.

2. History of Reproduction - It is believed that women who conceive before 26 and carry the full term have a lower risk of ovarian cancer. However, the risk is higher in those women who get pregnant after 35 or who do not have a full term pregnancy. Also, breastfeeding the baby lowers the risk.

3. Gene Mutation - Inherited gene mutation causes some percentage of ovarian cancer. These genes are called breast cancer genes 1 and 2 (BRCA1 and BRCA2). These were initially found in cases with breast cancer but also pose great risk for ovarian cancer. Also, gene mutation leading to Lynch syndrome plays an important role in increasing the risk of ovarian cancer.

4. Family History - If a woman's mother, sister or daughter is suffering from ovarian cancer then she is at a higher risk of developing the same. The risk also increases if someone from the father's side also has ovarian cancer.

5. Fertility Drugs - Drugs like clomiphene citrate, if used for more than a year can increase the risk of the cancer. The risk is even higher if a woman taking the drug does not get pregnant.

6. Hormone Therapy and Estrogen Therapy - Long term use and large doses of estrogen can cause an increased risk. However, if estrogen is used in combination with progesterone then the risk is less.

7. Age of menstruation and menopause - If menstruation starts before 12 and menopause occurs before 52 then there is a higher risk of getting the cancer.

8. Diet - A low fat vegetarian diet has less risk of the disease. Fresh fruit and vegetables should be included in diet along with pulses, rice, pasta, beans, cereals and breads.

Who is the best doctor and hospital for treatment of breast cancer in Chandigarh ? Should one take the treatment in chd or go to Delhi ?

MBBS, MD - Medicine, MD - Oncology
Oncologist, Delhi
Dear, in spite of many modalities available treatment of breast cancer is controversial. Before hand take the advice of a senior doctor of the field for the best possible treatment. The younger present day doctors will advise you first the removal of the breast when it has been seen that removal of the breast is not necessary.

What are the causes of cancer and what are the symptoms of Cancer? Is it possible to cure?

MS ( General Surgery)
Oncologist, Mandsaur
Cancer Causes Certain genes control the life cycle – the growth, function, division, and death -- of a cell. When these genes are damaged, the balance between normal cell growth and death is lost. Cancer occurs due to DNA damage and out-of-control cell growth. The following is a partial list of factors known to damage DNA and increase the risk of cancer: Genetic mutations (for example, BRCA1 and BRCA2) Environmental exposure to UV radiation, air pollution Bacterial (H. pylori) and viral infections (Epstein-Barr, HPV, hepatitis B and C) Lifestyle choices (poor diet, inactivity, obesity, heavy alcohol use, smoking cigarettes and tobacco use, exposure to chemicals and toxins) Treatment with chemotherapy, radiation, or immunosuppressive drugs Cancer Treatment Cancer treatment is highly variable depending on the type and stage of a cancer as well as the overall health of the patient. The most common treatments for cancer are surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Other treatments include targeted/biological therapies, hematopoietic stem cell transplants, angiogenesis inhibitors, cryosurgery, and photodynamic therapy. Every cancer treatment has potential risks, benefits, and side effects. The patient and his or her care team, which may include an internist or other specialist, surgeon, oncologist, radiation oncologist, and others, will help determine the best and most appropriate course of treatment.
